Yes, this is the second largest player created forum, shortly behind the STB Recruitment thread. And to think this all started with me creating a vague game on an even vaguer forum that has the highest mortality rate of threads ever. The odds man, the odds. |

To make it easier on you, the numbers on the left side of your torso read:
9A-LR-1CK
which means:
Robot class 9A, Light Robot, 1st Commander of Kinetics (which makes you an engineer)
However, we quickly read that, and surmised your name was Galrick. Due to that, the Collective adopted that name for that particular robot. |

OOC: OK, let's run with that. The Collective seems to like leet for some reason, so why not? Why not have this as the Collective's ID system? For example: 8B (Unique serial code, composed of random letter-number combination of variable length)-HR (armature frame class, can vary over time as the AI switches "bodies")-10BC (rank code, string of variable length). |

//OOC: Thanatos, just a note, Nexhawk didn't mention Freedom directly to Thanatos; all italics outside of quotation marks should be considered thoughts. But if you mention the time he talked about Sol'Krin to Sandromin, then I digress. //End of OOC\\
"A fool?" Nexhawk stared at Thanatos with pure amazement. "My remark was never intended to make one of you, I can assure you. My sincerest apologies if you have been offended, but I just want you to know: gods are by any means not to be trifled with. All people of Praecantaria had received their powers from the gods, and yet it took the most potent Archmage of each nation only to sneak past Nak'Sora and take her creation, the Dark Arcanum. I am sure they would not succeed would she notice the theft earlier. Therefore, trust me when I say that you will need more than a band of heroes to end her existence."
Nexhawk studied Thanatos' countenance. Desire for power burns strongly in this one. He might not tolerate anyone speaking against him. Have to be more careful about this one; there is no proof yet that his mind is much saner than the Dwarf's.
"Now, you wanted to learn of my intentions? Primarily, I came here to meet Sandromin on Sol'Krin's request. At the same time, Xavier," he extended his fiery hand in the Dwarf's direction, "told me that it was in your motives to fight and defeat Nak'Sora. Although I did not have any personal dealings with her in the past, the very notion of destroying a god intrigues me to a great extent. Xavier, on the other hand, wants to convince you otherwise, and so I brought him here as well. Hence, not only I had an ability to kill two birds with one stone, but I also get to hear the arguments for both sides and form an objective opinion. Once again, accept the apologies for my misunderstanding... Here's hoping that such petty things will not lie between us from this point on." |

OOC: I was indeed referring to earlier
Thanatos , now calm and relaxed, looked out to the distance. Not yet, he thought to himself. There was not yet immediate danger.
"You..you do realize I was merely joking, right? I see who who you are truly here to meet. Believe me, you'll get the chance to do soon. Through mine eyes I look at you. I see, something about me has startled you. There's a burning in my heart, a deep desire. That is how I found my way. I desire to defy Fate herself, to free this world from a vicious cycle of mass death. There is a balance upset. Also it is natural for you to be intrigued by my goals. Defeating a god, let alone slaying an Elder God, is almost impossible, without the proper knowledge. And I guess you could say we're overflowing with that. As for Freedom, he..he isn't in this realm anymore, I fear no one can take his side as of now." |

OOC: Are we waiting for me to say anything in particular?
Alihes was still in the building, waiting for the expedition to get started. It seemed like an eternity. After all, he did manage to master swordsmanship within a few hours. What else could he learn? Magic? Alihes scoffed at the very idea, as it was ludicrous.
He decided to walk to the barracks in search for something new. On the way there, he stumbled past the Hall of Invention. It was here where all the newest technology was being produced, usually through schematics belonging to the Doric people. It just so happened Alihes saw something... new. He walked over to the table where he saw it and picked the object up.
A small metal pipe, ensconced in an adamantium plating, was connected to a main... cylinder of sorts. Off of this cylinder part branched a handle of fine Illik tusk ivory. Engraved throughout the entire construct, the item was a thing of beauty to Alihes.
"Ah, I see you have picked up a Doric weapon. A fine choice indeed," stated an unknown voice to Alihes.
Alihes turned and saw an elderly scholar of sorts, dressed in a fine silk tunic. His beard showed his years and his hat showed his importance within the guild.
"That is a Doric weapon, typically used by commanders as a sign of power. That cylinder there is a revolving chamber that stores these shortened darts. The darts themselves are propelled through this pipe here using a specially designed spring, known as a Doric spring. This spring has enough tensile strength... thus giving the weapon... The force is then absorbed... with a certain velocity..."
The speech itself was boring to Alihes' ears, but he listened to it nonetheless.
"And then, the rotation allows for the darts to move through this highly tempered adamantium pipe. Thus, this weapon is what we call a Doric revolver."
A revolver. It was a name that Alihes liked in and of itself.
"Can I have this revolver?" pondered Alihes.
"Well, under normal circumstances, I would say no. However, because you just so happen to be going on an expedition as a young man to the most dangerous of places, I am giving this to you. You see, I owe the logipriests a favor, and must repay them in some way. Therefore, feel free to take that revolver. I will see to it that you receive enough darts for your expedition. I will also see to it you receive proper training in using that device."
And with that, Alihes learned a new skill: marksmanship. |

//OOC: @Sandromin - yes, at least I do, since Nexhawk addressed Sandromin first and only then started talking to Thanatos.
@Thanatos - Did you use telepathy on Nexhawk, or was the "burning desire" simply a coincidence? I couldn't clearly pick that up. //End of OOC\\
Nexhawk smiled and nodded in pleasure. "It is great to hear that we can set this incidence aside and forget about it." Soon his expression changed as he listened to the last sentence. Nexhawk rubbed his chin and spoke, "Now this is something different from what the Dwarf has told me. He stated that you want to begin a crusade that will result in Nak'Sora's death exactly on Sol'Krin's behalf... Not only that, but that god actually granted Sandromin the powers of the Ashflame for an unclear reason! Yet you say that he is not "in this realm anymore", and I am slightly incredulous about this." |

OOC: @Nexhawk: It was more of an assumption. Thanatos is naturally gifted at reading expressions. Ironically, you could almost always read his expressions very easily.
Thanatos looks slightly disappointed.
"I-I see. I assure you that I have not even communicated with him in a very very long time. Her death is not on HIS behalf, nor MINE. Her death is on behalf of all living things. For those who do not know what lies beyond the vast sea of space. Does that answer your question?"
Thanatos speaks as if he had not heard the lies spread by Xavier. Because he respected him nonetheless.
After entering the facility, passed many long corridors and offices, Vektor and Galrick make their way to the labs. They reach a large door which seems to have no way of opening. Vektor places his hands at its center. After a few seconds of deep concentration the alkhemical runes that were once invisible, light up. The door seems to cascade into the ground. The room before them is large. There are several mysterious machines all surrounding one large table. Vektor, warns Galrick of the repercussions, should he document any of this technology. He leads him to the large table. At it's center there is a yellow liquid-like orb suspended in the air. It is surrounded by different floating structures that constantly orbit it(basically like a dyson sphere).
"This is it!"
OOC: @Brutus: I see now that I missed something. Because you said you landed on a floating city, I assumed you meant Gran Arcadia. The palace is not a floating city. It is in a large canyon. Also I'm afraid that that jump is way too high. It would kill you. Seeing as I don't want you dead, let's say you merely escaped the Briggs. Plus I kinda want to add you into my side story. Considering now you play an important role.

Galrick looked at the glowing sphere. "I detect large amounts of radiation from this sphere. Is it a fusion reactor? As to your warnings of documenting this technology, worry not. I see that this is all Doric tech, the blueprints of which were transmitted to us when the excavation team unearthed the ruins." he said. |

And thus, Sandromin spoke in reply. He saw fit to begin.
"It seems that there is much to do. Now, if we could so kindly gather the forces, we have an adventure to embark on. We shall stay till the morn here. Tomorrow, the Feast of the Years begins in my homeland. Furthermore, I have noticed none of you have visited my homeland, so it would be perfect to embark for my lands tomorrow. The mission has been delayed by a day, as we must plan and stock on anything that may be of use for us here." |
