Conyr watched Brutus toss in his sleep, moaning, causing the whole room to shudder with his movements.
He saw the pain, the anguish, and felt sad.
Sleep cures many wounds, but not always painlessly.
The giant had obviously experienced pain beyond imagination, beyond anything Conyr had felt, and the boy knew it.
When Brutus started crying out names, names of loved ones, Conyr walked out. He would not pry into the giant's life when he was at his most vulnerable.
Outside the air was cool, the crisp sea breeze leaving that salty tang on Conyr's tongue that reminded him of the rocky beaches back home.
It was dawn. He was faintly surprised. So much had been happening he had lost track of day and night. He scaled a wall and sat on the rooftop, gazing at the rising sun. The huge, red orb almost seemed like it was pulsing.
The breeze stirred his blackish-brown hair, the light from the sun caused his green eyes, flecked with gold, to smart.
The whole city was silent, still trapped in the throes of sleep. It was amazing, that we were all unites by the need to rest, to restore, to heal.
So Conyr sat, basking in the glorious sunrise above Venezzia, abandoned but not alone, and hoped.
And such was his hope that his energy snaked out from his being, hundreds of thousands of tendrils, and touched each person in this city, instilling a fraction, a tiny particle, of his hope. Not enough to be noticeable, but enough to awake refreshed with a smile on their face with no reason for there to smile except the faint knowledge that life was worth living. |

I think Xavier and Halvedes are either still scheming in the wee early hours of the morning, or laying drunk and passed out, or whatever they had planned.
Brutus slept through the night.
Sandromin and Alexinus have positioned themselves so that this skip to this day will make sense.
And your automatons weren't really cut off from doing anything important, I hope.
So yes, dawn of the next day it is.

Perhaps we should have timestamps now? Wouldn't want to fall into the hole that CCP dug themselves when they didn't add timestamps to the chat system.
I've forgotten where Sandromin described the dating system (perhaps that would be another good thing to add to the index), so I'll wait until he decides exactly what day it is when he posts next, and we can go from there. |

I don't seek wealth or luxury, I was born with it in my blood. What I sought was power. So I funded my own campaign and was elected into Parliament. You might not believe it, but in my younger days I was quite the charmer, and my intelligence was noteworthy. I served Diyad for 37 years. But then it seemed that the blasted Thanatos showed up from nowhere. He was quite a speaker, others often compared him to the last king Lionus III. Lionus was the last king who died at a young age centuries ago. He is considered the greatest king in our history. If people compared Thanatos to him, well there was no doubt he'd rally himself a rebellion. I tried to warn my fellow members of Parliament against war. They were fools, dead set in their ways. I resigned my position 6 months before The Great Civil War broke out. I aided Thanatos in the war. I hated him so much... But my reward was worth it. I earned my spot within the palace and now I rule Diyad. Oh how Fate jests, always on my side!"
A bell rings in the distance, morning is fast approaching and the final day of the Assembly is soon to begin.

They both walked outside on the cobblestone street. People were walking back and forth, and it was quite crowded.
"Interesting story. I take it you are now king of Diyad? Thanatos' successor? I regret to inform you, but I heard things about the king. He is most certainly dead. I watched him die right in front of me. But Sandromin, he said something. He said the King is arriving, well, today. Are you sure you know nothing of this? It would be awful for both of us if he did. Alixenus' servant bowed and departed from his office as Alixenus put on his riding boots and headed to the Stable. Moments later he was riding a Chesnut Mare at a leisurely pace to the conference. He had gotten up in good time so he had a while before proceedings began. The common folk politely parted in front a of him, a few still cheered him for his recent heroics. Passing a small fruit stall, he reined to a halt just long enough for to purchase a bag of Apples, thinking it might be nice for the diplomats to enjoy some local produce. |

OOC: Sorry about the AFK and herpa derpa stuff. I'm currently working on stuff and baseball season just kicked in for me. Currently, I'm going to write the descriptive passages for the Doric City and build that stuff up. It'll help kick off the technology updates for the Sandmen.
So, as they went down the passages, they soon found the Doric people had written records of their decline. The city itself contained marvels. It was build expansively in underground caverns; the pillars were ornate, the walls were engraved, and the chambers were vast.
Argus led his teams into the archives. They began the search for the records. What they found was a very detailed record of their decline; it seemed that madness had overcome them through an extreme twist of fate. The smartest beings on the planet at the time were wiped out by madness. The irony was exceptional.
Their entire race had died; they were completely wiped off the face of Dustia. Their records showed that a disease that induced madness had cleared them out. However, in order to seek a cure, they had cataloged the disease. Unfortunately, they failed. It seemed there were more records though... of a cruel god they called Fate...
As they deciphered the language more and more, they found manuals and blueprints. It seemed that the sandmen were going to reach a higher tier of technology. |

Cyborgs don't make sense, since the Collective only captures organic beings for research, not to turn them into Borg-esque slaves (they're less efficient than a Collective unit).
The Collective delegation walked into the conference hall, and took it's seat. All other members had slowly started to arrive. The sight of the dwarf distorted it's vision. Was it magic, magnetics or something else? The ambassador could only guess. |

Conyr heard the bells tolling, and stood up. The light sea breeze was delicious, but he decided he had something to say in the conference.
Inside the gallery, people were assembling. The air was stifling, not at all like the cool breeze stirring the city to life outside.
Conyr looked up, and saw the windows made of dyed glass, depicting ancient battles and stories of great sorrow. Conyr looked down, and found a sharp rock, about the size of his palm. He picked it up and started climbing.
He chose the wall of the entrance, the ornate decorations making it easy to reach the windows. He looked at the first window he reached. It portrayed a scene of a king being tortured.
Conyr drew back the hand with a rock, and smashed it against the window. The breeze instantly squeezed through the shattered glass.
He proceeded around the inside of the gallery, smashing window after window, until the chamber was ringing with the sound of clinking glass and the cries of outraged men below.
When he had destroyed every single window, he jumped down and landed softly on the speaker's podium.
"Now that we have air to clear our heads," he said calmly, "perhaps we can begin."
Then he went to an empty seat and sat down. |

- The Month System Page Number
- Each New Character and their Appearance Page Number
- Specific events
- Introduction of Gods/Races
- Anything you feel is important
Also, I will be updating the map after the Index is updated.
Sandromin saw that the conference would be interesting, and it seemed odd things would kick off with Conyr's destruction of the skylights and glass. But there was one person Sandromin was looking for: Thanatos. Would Freedom prove to be correct? Only time could tell.
Meanwhile, Argus had begun a new engineering program and archive transfer; soon, the knowledge the Dorics held would belong to the world. Hundreds upon hundreds of items, from classic literature to the blueprints of flying machines, had been collected by the excavation team.
Smiths were forging gears and cranks; metals were being mined in the uninhabited deserts. Windmills were being raised to take advantage of the desert winds. Water wheels were being crafted to be used in the bountiful aquifers. The signs of a revolution were stirring in the Oases (the collective lands of the sandmen), and the signs of a new age were dawning.
The wheels of Freedom had prevailed in the Oases and the lands were progressing through the course of time.
OOC: Well, I'm focusing on descriptive passages. The Doric City will soon become the military capital of my nation while Arteum remains my political capital. It's going to be fun to finally flesh out my nation. |

Brutus still slept, evens the great bells would not stir the slumbering giant. He was deep in a dream, not a memory like before, but a symbolic dream. The world around him was shaded like dusk. The lands of his dream-scape were not of the natural world they were strange, fake and oddly...calming. Brutus wasn't in his giant body, no. Brutus sat on the crest of a hill, he was human again. Human...the word was foreign to Brutus now, an old word used to describe the small beings that scuttled around him...human. Brutus looked down at his hands, they weren't the color of his skin, they looked grainy, and were black as the night sky. When he moved it looked like sand had taken the shape of a man, and movement was to crawl every where, even looking around was slow and hard. Brutus sat on the hill watching the horizon that was in the sky. A vague twang of a memory reverberated in Brutus' head. But it was only faint. Brutus sat on the hill, he knew in this dream scape what he had been, but he remembered that this dream was, and always would be a dream. He knew in reality that he was just a living weapon, a mass of muscle, armor skin and bone, made for the purpose of killing enemies and protecting his nation. He was a miller before he had become a weapon, and his son, his brave son, was his apprentice. He could remember the work they would do. Brutus smiled to himself, he enjoyed the clarity of his dreams, he would almost forget how foolish he would sound in the real world, slow and stupid, his mind was still sharp, but his tongue was a dull hammer as opposed to the sharp knife it had once been. Brutus stayed in his position for what seemed like hours and hours, but it was a dream. And all dreams had to end. Brutus finally awoke, and he knew what he had to do. Brutus slowly got up, it had been years since Brutus slept he had forgot the body had to become used to the true world again. He knew the conferences had probably started, so he began to make his way to the others. When he finally arrived. People looked angrily at Conyr who had broken every window. Brutus felt proudness for Conyr. Brutus took his seat by the door blocking it from anyone, he didn't want any nation leaving before he had made his statement. And he hoped that people would listen to him this time, even if they didn't he would still move forward with, or without his friends. |

It seemed to Alixenus now that Logipriests had been put upon the earth to either annoy all other races to death or just outright kill them. He grimaced at the sight of the shattered windows and would have smacked the green fool about the place without a single regret. But the boy had diplomatic immunity, and he was sure Brutus would hear of any transgressions. So, all he could was sit and listen to what the youth had to say. Besides, it was unlikely that his loincloth hid a wallet of Gold to pay for new windows. |

Conyr returned to the podium. The sea breeze stirred the previously stale air, and he breathed deeply.
"I shall begin."
He took another breath and looked around, cleared his throat. He suddenly felt very nervous, alone, small, insignificant. The faces around him were hostile, curious, detached, annoyed, entertained. They thought he was some child, silly and uninitiated into the big world of men.
I am the last logipriest.
"I... would like complete immunity to harm, across Dustia. In addition to this, the forests of the logipriests, I suggest they remain untouched."
He gulped as people exclaimed loudly at his requests.
"The forests that we dwell in... Are dangerous to you. The magicks that naturally form around us, inside us, has permeated the forest. Mortal men cannot dwell in there for too long, or madness will take them."
Calm. They're listening. Finish it off.
"As for me... I do not wish any of you harm." He imagined his voice to be strong, confident and powerful, but in reality only those in the front seats seemed to hear him. "I do not have a home anymore. No family, or friends. So I have decided I want to understand. Knowledge, as we all know, is power. I want to understand Dustia, and so I request that I am left alone and unharmed as I travel."
Conyr felt his words were weak as he sat back down at his seat. His cheeks were blushing, his skin turning a darker shade of green. Embarrassing, that was. He turned and looked at Brutus. The giant's face gazed at him, inscrutable. Conyr smiled, then turned back to the front. |

The forges had been created. However, most of them were underground, as offshoots of the city. It was becoming a the city it once was; the lights had been turned on, and a large influx of migrants had arrived into the city.
The finest craftsmen had begun the crafting of new weapons and vehicles they had found the design for. They found that the Dorics created a fuel that they uniformly used across all their devices: matur. Matur was formed from the refining of several metals by putting it through a Doric Iyonic processor. Afterwards, melting it down would create a super-iyonic liquid that would then be placed into small battery containers.
This would create a power source bountiful enough for the devices of Doric people. But the new devices required a powerful group of people who would dedicate their life to learning this new knowledge. Soon, the migrants had placed several people to learn about this knowledge. They became philosophers of Dustia; they were the Unravelers. They unraveled the secrets of the universe and they became leaders of the Guild of Thought.
Meanwhile, Sandromin was convening within the conference, speaking of his opinions to the people. It was about midday when he saw something...
At first, he thought it was just a person, but he just couldn't stop looking at the person. He was cloaked in a black robe and he walked with an air of purpose. It was as if he had come in from outside, just to announce something important.

The Hive Mind also sent instructions to construct more miniaturized fusion plants, to support the new technology's power requirements. It had synthesized and tested a small amount of Matur, and had found it to be less efficient than it's own miniaturized fusion tech.
