OOC: Oh Brutus that's created so much tension I want to know what happens next...and I'm the one writing this! Well of the ones, but you get my point. Would it be too much of a spoiler to ask who the single man who mourned for all of them was? I notice Conyr wasn't one of the dead, but then neither was I.
And Sandromin, I had a question about the novelisation of this thread. Everyone here has their own style, are you smoothing them over into one to make it more coherent or leaving them as they are? |

//OOC: And here I was, peacefully thinking that Brutus just meant Frost to be the "mourning man". Now I'm immeasurably intrigued and have to know who in the world that person is.
Also, if I understood correctly, the tall man with a book is Xavier. Is a short man with a beard just a dwarf then?
On the topic of novelization, I'd like the styles kept as they are. I don't think they will hurt, since we are seeing situations from different perspectives, after all.
P.S. I just realized... Conyr was not anyhow described as being dead there! Is he the one standing and mourning everyone? //End of OOC\\ |

So is this some sort a prophecy? Has Frost somehow glimpsed into the future? Or maybe Fate was warning him about what was to come? I wonder where this is going to go. Also, you may have been describing a different dwarf, for my Xavier is tall and lengthy.
Novelization, is, well, novelization. He almost has to put everything in his own writing style. I don't see how he couldn't, unless he just copy-and-pastes the whole thing, which would be no fun at all!
P.S. On a further note, I do believe that Sandromin has yet to reply to finish the meeting. He has to do this soon, for the thread is starting to stall, except for a few well written lore bombs, which I don't feel like writing right now.
P.S.S. By the way, this a perfect time for an explosion of some sorts. It does not matter the reason, this thread need some action!
P.S.S.S. Or you guys can just finish the meeting. Either or.
P.S.S.S.S. Or perhaps both.
P.S.S.S.S.S. Don't mean to rush, but, again, besides those lore posts, this thread has been stalling lately. |

//OOC: Personally, I believe it is not all that necessary to keep the same style. Cloud Atlas had six distinct, yet intertwined, stories, and the styles were so absolutely different, as if six different writers worked on the book. Here, there are actually several co-authors writing in this epic thread. And albeit our stories are more closely related, and sometimes are the same ones, the audience gets to experience them through many unique characters, and these separated points of view, in my opinion, would be even more distinct, if the styles of writing differ throughout the story. That's just my take on the situation.
P.S. I just realized what exactly Brutus' lore bomb so closely reminded me of. If anyone of you knows World of Warcraft and read some of the books, in one of them it is told about the Hour of Twilight. Its vision was witnessed by one of the characters, who saw the solemn future of herself and many other characters, including the main villain of that time, dead, killed gruesomely by the spawns created by that villain. And I never actually got to say this, but Brutus, once again, terrific job on this prophecy. //End of OOC\\ |

(Ooc) I've noticed that we've been stalling out lately as well. I've been slowing down because there have been other people trying to join and this post has become Brutus-taculiar. As in it's gigantic now. So I'd like to propose we slow down for a few days because even I'm running out of ideas. And on a side note thanks to everyone for giving me so many props on my prophecy. //OOC: I think we've slowed down enough already. Practically, right now everyone is waiting for Sandromin to reply. Until then... OOC: Been camping. Sorry bout dat.
And as he heard this, Sandromin found himself... floating. No, it was not physical; rather, it was mental. Abstractly, he was like a mist. There was nothing. He came to the realization that all of it was... null... and void. And that's what he found himself in: a void. But it was unlike any other void of the mind he was ever in before this event. Rather, it was of a completely different experience.
Sandromin had no idea what was happening. He saw himself, floating through a complete blackness. What was it? It was nothing like his usual imagination... It was a new experience altogether.
Out of the blackness came a voice: Come, and see
See what? Sandromin thought
Look into the blackness and see my form.
What Sandromin saw was something indescribable. It was formless, yet had form; dark, yet light. It was paradoxical in every way imaginable. He had no idea what to say, if he could even say anything. What he saw was the ultimate form.
I am who I am. I am the One.
The One. The supreme deity of the sandmen faith. All that Sandromin had ever sought the answer to lie here.
There is much to talk about, my child. It is time to learn of the history of Dustia. I will not teach you everything, for there is much you must learn on your own; but you must know what to do and the reasons to do it. To your friends, this will only take a minute. For you, it will take an eternity.
It was then that Sandromin learned. He learned of what had happened when the world repeated itself, and how One ached and moaned at the follies of his creation. Sandromin learned of each death and rebirth. He learned of what was transpiring, and it would have been startling had the One not been there telling him of the events. The One guided Sandromin, and the One was right; it was an eternity before Sandromin saw all.
OOC: No, you cannot see this transpire. The One is the most powerful and therefore you cannot see nor hear him. His presence is nonexistent to all, and therefore, at the current moment, only Sandromin can see him.
And within the minute, Sandromin awoke from the trance. And he heard Alixenus' words. It was time to fight. Not for Freedom, nor for Fate. It was not for destroying the shackles of destiny, nor for creating perfect order in the universe. If anything, it was for the sake of peace; the One showed him how the universe ached at the war that plagued the Heavens. Aether itself was falling apart, all for the sake of a pitiful war that conveyed no meaning whatsoever.
Sandromin saw the futility of fighting. He saw the odds, and the chances of success were slim at best. But he was not here for that. Some past timelines, he would fight for Freedom. Other times, Sandromin fought for Fate. But this time was different. He broke the chain; this time, he fought for Peace.
Finally, he spoke.
"I fight, but not for Freedom nor Fate. I will fight alongside you all, as a brother, but my reasons are different. Your quest is mine, as it always has been; but my goal is different. I fight... for Peace." |

Thanatos waited for Sandromin to respond. His eyes seemed devoid of life. Then in an instant it returned. He could not tell how it happened, he could only see where Sandromin was now. And what he saw was what he was waiting to see, clarity.
Thanatos smirked, removing his crown to palm the top of his head. His hair, completely black moments ago, started to grey. It was noticeable but didn't seem to draw alarm. He didn't notice it himself.
"You don't know how long I've awaited these answers. Countless existences, dark eternities. This is what I've been waiting for! WE as mortals have the power to fight back, to take control of our lives! I have only one final thing to ask. I would like to establish once more the Trinity, the Kinship of Three. With this knowledge, and our actions, we are now responsible for the continuation of existence. It is best to find strength in our bonds, bonds stronger than blood."
Thanatos' words seemed to pour out as if rehearsed. As he spoke he could only keep his mind on one thing, Death. Even he did not understand what it meant. He kept calling himself that, yet he did not know why. Was he merely a mortal who assumed Death's role. No, these memories had to mean something. He obviously fought not for Fate, yet neither did he side with Freedom. He hadn't even spoken to him. But he also didn't fight for Peace, well not exactly. Something was compelling him to bring destruction to the gods. Not a purpose, more like an instinct, almost involuntary. As he spoke he began to sense a danger. However it was far off. He would be well prepared. He looked to his right and saw his sword by his side. An ancient weapon called a katana, forged by his very soul. Its name, Ultimatum.

"Right!" Alixenus clasped his hands together with a clap that echoed around the room. Somehow, almost impossibly, a smile was on his face, caused by the irrepressible confidence of a veteran soldier. He began to speak about the situation as casually as if he was speaking about a boating trip. "How do we form this Trinity then? And how long does it need? I daresay we don't have much time, given how much I infuriated the Queen ***** that is fate. C'mon, walk and talk, we have to tell everyone we're going to war with the Gods! How are we going to kill them anyway? I don't think a Catapult is going to be enough, as much as I'd like to tear their hearts out with my bare-" He stopped in his tracks and took a deep breath. Anger was still burning inside him, but he wanted to keep it contained until he was face to face with his tormentors.
He carried on walking, gathering his thoughts as Thanatos explained further. But when they came out into the open the trio stopped dead. Before them was Xavier and two of the Ashborn. The Dwarf had his back turned and was deep in conversation with the fiery men. Alixenus could see the Dark Arcarnum tucked under Xavier's arm and imagined the Dwarf would not be happy to see him again. Quietly, he loosed his sword in it's Scabbard. The Ashborn now noticed them. One backed away from the Dwarf, the other looked on wondering what was going to happen next. Xavier's Beard seemed to bristle, as if he knew who was behind him. His darling book told him. It looked into Sandromin, Thanatos and Alixenus. It saw the fire burning in the Venezzian, and something...else. The book was pleased, it could use this 'something', should Xavier fail.
OOC: Sorry for hijacking characters there, but there was a risk of that meeting accidentally dragging on, so I decided to light the powderkeg waiting outside. Have fun! |

Ignatus was first to spot the trio that exited the palace. He promptly notified Nexhawk by subtly nodding in their direction, and the latter now directed his attention at the three rulers as well. About time. When one of them, a royally dressed man whose muscles and posture gave him away as a seasoned soldier, drew a sword and pointed it at Xavier, Nexhawk was quick to react. He stepped between the two groups, facing the trio, and extended his hand towards them, drawing everyone's attention to the scene.
"Before I introduce myself, let me tell you this: while I and this Dwarf are here, you will not approach him with any bad intentions. Moreover, you will listen to what he has to say, and no matter if you agree or not, we will proceed as civilized people. While I'm present here, Xavier will not be attacked without a fully justified reason."
He put his hand down and bowed slightly to Sandromin and his companions. "With this out of place, let me finally talk to you in person. I am Nexhawk the Fiery Lord, the leader of the Ashborn. It is in my hopes that we will form and maintain friedly bonds between all the countries on these continents. I hope Ignatus had already told you some details about our nation, so I will get straight to business." Nexhawk walked closer to Sandromin himself and addressed the Sandman. "Primarily, it has come to my knowledge that the Gift of the Ashflame was bestowed upon you, Sandromin. If I understand correctly, your powers are in dire need of training, and I," the Ashborn placed his right hand on his chest, "will be glad to teach you."
As Sandromin pondered on the offer, Nexhawk turned to face all participants of the congregation. "Meanwhile, I had heard of your division on the issue of siding with or fighting a goddess called Nak'Sora, or Fate in your language. Note that I do not take a stance for now; it is in my main interests to listen to the both sides of this crucial argument. That way, it will be possible for me to form the least subjective opinion on the matter. Anyways, I realize that you are surprised to see this Dwarf," he motioned in Xavier's direction. "I brought him with me specifically to make both me and your group learn of his intentions and motives thoroughly, and in a civil manner. I, once again, will not tolerate a single menacing move towards Xavier." |

Nexhawk chuckled as he heard not Sandromin, yet one of his companions address the crowd. In an instant he realized who was the king of Diyad here. He bowed before Thanatos in a respectful manner. "Please forgive my ignorance, for I did not perceive you first as the king of this beautiful city. I sincerely hope there will be no quarrels between us based on this...incident." Nexhawk smiled gently. "Your name is Thanatos, I presume? Xavier told me a little about you and your kingdom. I think it is needless to say that," he glanced around, "this majestic city is indeed impressive, as are your technological advances. But enough of that; at this moment I am highly intrigued by your attitude towards Nak'Sora. It seems to me that you advocate for...killing her? I do not want to seem disrespectful, but I believe attempting such a feat is at the very least, um, foolish." He narrowed his eyes, watching Thanatos. "I would be glad, therefore, to hear of your motives and plans on this matter, for I understand that it will be virtually impossible for me to stay away from all this mess." Brutus sprinted away from the the police that chased him and Sara. The men were called Briggs, or that's what Sara said. They were at the moment on the highest island. And as far as Brutus could tell, they had nowhere to go. Brutus turned into an alleyway. Sara was holding on as tight as her little hands could hold onto the bull horns Brutus had adorned on his head. "Mister Brutus they're still chasing us! And we're stuck here what are we gonna do?" Brutus wasn't even sure. "Uh...Brutus not sure. Sorry..." "Halt p. you are...*huff* you are under. Oh lord you run fast..." The head officer was bent over breathing heavily. He looked noble Brutus thought. He also thought he was out of shape. A few other of the officers were doing the same thing. Huffing and puffing. "You need rest?" He officers looked puzzled. Had the thing they'd been chasing really just asked if they needed to rest? They had just chased a giant and it had the audacity to ask if they were tired. "No we don't need a rest!" The captain barked. "You sure?" "YES I'M SURE!" "Okay. Have fun chasing Brutus more." And with that the giant slammed his fist into the wall next to him then he slammed his other fist into the wall, and with that his climbing began. He scaled the wall like he'd done this before. He hadn't. "Mister Brutus what are you doing!?"Sara sounded excited, and scared. The officers just stared at the giant in awe. Was this thing really climbing up walls?! Brutus reached the top of the building in just a few seconds. "That fun! Now we jump!" "Jump? Mister Brutus I don't think that's a good-" Brutus kept to the next building with ease, and then the next, and then the next. He was nearly sprinting across the buildings. Sara was actually laughing at the adventure. Another leap and another and another leap. Then he reached the end of the island. "Now what mister Brutus?" Brutus looked down to see the island that he had found Sara on the one his allies were on. "Mister Brutus?" Brutus reached up and held Sara. "We jump." He sounded gentle and enthusiastic. "Ready?" Sara reluctantly nodded her head. "There it is get it!" Brutus jumped from the building. He fell with emended speed Sara closed her eyes and held onto he giant protector with all her might. Brutus fell for what felt like eternity. Until a dealing boom resounded around him. He landed feet first on the flying island. An indent where he landed. Brutus looked at Sara, she was smiling and laughing. Brutus began to laugh as well, a hearty deep laugh. He hadn't even noticed that his leap of faith had landed him near his allies. He was to happy notice, Brutus held out Sara, and the pair laughed with each other until tears of joy ran down their faces. They laughed until their bodies hurt, the good kind of hurt, the kind that let you know that you were alive. |

Freedom and Fate, this man spoke to him in another tongue, yet he's instantly recognized those names. It was as if he knew all of their titles. Thanatos lets out a bellowing laugh.
"Ignoring a king in his capital and then calling a fool to his face. You make quite the first impression sir! Hahaha! I assure you sure, we are fully capable of accomplishing our task. That being said, I must now ask of your intentions here."
Meanwhile Vektor was leading the Collective Engineer to a balloon.
"We'll be heading to the floating facility known as Gasynto, this is where we produce certain inventions that require expertise, but only a small group of people working on it. This has been in development for a long time, but it would seem that it was made specifically for the Collective"

OOC: I'll take post 1001 on the grounds that, assuming I haven't gone senile, I was the second one on here. All glory to the Threadnaught! |

OOC: Dibs on post 1010! It's binary, why not?
"Interesting." Galrick said. "What sort of inventions?" it asked. |

OOC: Calling it now, 2000. It's a stretch, but something tells me this threadnaught has a lot of life left. Speaking of which, I think we need some Dev/GM acknowledgement. I mean this is the biggest thread in The Locker Room right? |
