They begin to crowd around him asking him if he was a real giant. It would seem that Diyadians are naturally fond of giants. Their history may be more deep that Achyr had let on. One of the workers approached Brutus.
"Excuse me kind fellow. Do you think you could help us with a matter of importance. You see our ship is damaged, those large rubber tubes over there have been torn and that huge gear has fallen off. Our more elite alkhemists are too busy protecting the council members, and we are not strong enough yet to manipulate such large objects. Would you be so kind as to help us fix our ship, for we would be eternally grateful."
"Um...yes Brutus help Diyadian friends." Brutus was surprised that he had become so popular with these people. "Uh...what does Brutus do?" Brutus heard of had seen flying ships before, in his old home, from the collective and now here. Brutus supposed he try to do the thing that seemed easy to him; heavy lifting. He lumbered over to the gear, he wasn't sure how heavy it was, but people needed help and he'd do just that. He hefted the gear up with one arm and sling it over his shoulder. 450 pounds. "Where.put?" He was struggling slightly. The worker stared at the giant in amazement. "This heavy. Please point." The worker pointed at where the gear needed to be, Brutus walked with loud heavy steps to where the gear was to be placed. With an audible grunt Brutus hefted the gear into its rightful place. He turned to the group of workers and solders, many of them looked at him with open mouths. "Brutus fixed gear. Might need help with those." Brutus pointed at the rubber tubes |

The alkhemist maintains a grin from ear to ear. Though one could only tell by his eyes... for he wore a helmet.
"That's simple. Even with iyo we aren't quite strong enough to fix those. But being a giant, not only do you have a resistance to its toxic effects, but giants are naturally adept in alkhemistry. Plus you're large enough to already maintain a good control of it. Usually a novice alkhemist has a small box filled with iyonic energy that fits in the palm of his hand. You're so big you might need to grab one of the large containers over there. All you have to do is hold it out and concentrate. You should be able to see the tube molecule by molecule. Do you know what a molecule is? No matter. If you don't you will know. Once you are fully concentrated it's as easy as willing those molecules back together. It shouldn't be too difficult for you! |

OOC: ^ I don't know why, but that post reminds me of a video game tutorial.
The Collective ambassador was mildly surprised at the Pyromancer's reverberating voice. It recovered quickly, and added to the Diyadian ambassador's speech. "Magick can be overcome through technology. High-velocity projectiles ejected via an internal combustion mechanism seem to be sufficient to kill any being, magical or not. And those may soon be replaced by more powerful methods. Returning to the matter at hand: The Collective would wish to open Engineering and Computer Science departments at the future Diyadian Universities, if they are established." it said. |

"Uh...okay." Brutus picked up one of the containers and held it out in front of himself. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to be seeing, but he did notice something different about everything. He couldn't explain it even if he wanted to. He began to do as the engineer had told him and will the molecules back by each other. It didn't take long. When he was finished he returned the container to it's rightful place. "Ship fixed now." Brutus sound rather happy with himself, and the Diyadian's around him looked happy. "Brutus go now. Nice meet you." The giant sounded sullen, and his eyes showed it as well. He didn't want to leave. He hadn't even learned these people's name's. |

Also, Mediterra seems to be a fine name. |

Any info this artifact could have would be Pre-Archnecromancer battle during the last era. Especially since during this blackout period all evidence of Diyad was either, burned, censored or lost until recently. However if your lost continent would happened to have been located far east of Lavania, it would help me reveal some things about my nation's origins without adding my own plot device (wink wink)." |

I'm not going to make it that easy for you.
Conyr is on a mission to understand. Understand what, even I don't know. I tried planning out every step and it led to me getting kind of lost and devoid of ideas, so the spontaneous route I shall take.

Conyr reached the hills and found the spot where he and the other five logipriests had awoken, without their own identities, and had been captured by the Collective. He sat on a patch of grass, leaning against a tree trunk, and sighed.
He looked at himself. His body was thin, his joints were knobbly. Weakness, that is what he saw. He was weak.
Suddenly, a growl rippled through the air. Conyr jumped up and spun, turning towards the sound of the noise. It was coming from a nearby bush.
The leafy shrub shivered as whatever was inside it readjusted its position. Conyr's imagination went wild; was it getting ready to pounce? Was it calling its friends?
Whatever it was doing, Conyr decided to take the initiative. He jumped into the bush, screaming, yelling, kicking, clawing. He was blind; his vision was pulsing red, the fear of the unknown spurring him on.
Minutes later, he found his limbs simply ran out of energy to move at all. He was laying on his back, gazing at the foliage above, panting hard. Whatever it was that was in the bush, it was pressed against Conyr's back, unmoving, possibly dead. Conyr didn't even want to look at it.
What did I just do?
He felt sick. The animal under him was dead, and he had killed it. It hadn't even put up a fight; the scratches sustained by Conyr were probably caused by the sharp twigs on the ground.
He was a logipriest, the race of love and restoration, and he had just killed something.
Or did he? Suddenly, a twitch jolted him up. The carcass was moving!
Only, it wasn't a carcass. It was alive, not dead. An injured dog. Conyr looked on, morbid fascination rooting him to the spot.
The dog was covered in small scratches, like Conyr, and larger, uglier ones, probably caused by Conyr. It was panting, twisted, thin and knobbly, just like Conyr. And as Conyr watched, the dog rasped out a coughing growl... and lay still.
Now, it was dead.
Conyr felt an intense dizziness blur his mind and senses. His head was reeling as if he was just punched by Brutus. Conyr was aware enough to know he was on his hands and knees, vomiting into the ground. Then he collapsed, on his back again, staring at the trees again. This time, though, he was on his own vomit instead of a dying dog.
Tears pricked his eyes as he realised it was his body's natural regenerative aura that had kept the dog alive. If he had kept a hand on it, even a finger, it would've survived. He sobbed into the air, then. But only once. Because he would not be strong if he truly cried. So one sob, then he stopped. He took control of his breathing. Seized control of his limbs. Stood up shakily. The smell hit him now. The smell of blood, death and vomit. He nearly had to sit down again but he didn't. He brushed himself off, wiped the messAnd walked off, towards the deserts. |

Nexhawk strolled around Spodium with intent of watching how his people were assimilating to the new land. The views pleased him; the homes were already built, and most of the Ashborn were getting used to living on Lavania fairly quickly, thanks to the fact that the weather was quite similar to that of their home. Nexhawk passed several children who played happily with a couple of phoenix hatchlings, shooting little fireballs for the birds to catch.
Suddenly, someone tapped him on his shoulder. Nexhawk swiftly turned around and found his sister. "Hi, Igniris!", he exclaimed. Although her black-and-red hood and ashen hair covered most of her face, sorrow emanating from her eyes did not escape Nexhawk. "What troubles you so deeply?"
Igniris shot a glance at the children and replied, "Look around, Nexhawk. These children, they are the last generation of the Ashborn that was born on Praecantaria. You know even better than I do what this means for our people. Every mage born here, on this foreign land", she kicked a volcanic stone with her foot, "will not be attuned to our home."
"I know, sister." Nexhawk's gaze followed the children with sadness.
"And what are you going to do about it?" Igniris' eyes were now burning with anger, and the first fiery tears began to roll down her cheeks. "Surely you were planning to return, some day! We cannot just sit here and let those monstrosities, those...", she struggled to mutter the word before blurting it out, "... those Hydromancers roam our lands! Their filthy hands might be digging through ruins of our cities and villages right now, desecrating all those who perished at their horrifying spell! Surely you won't this go unavenged? Surely you..."
She collapsed, short of breath, and her head fell on Nexhawk's chest. He kept her from sliding down and whispered, "I know you are in deep pain, Igniris. But we can't turn time back in its tracks, and what happened can't be undone."
Igniris looked up at him and murmured, "Our parents, Nexhawk... Their souls will be waiting for you to exact revenge. This is your duty now, but there is no visible way to fulfil it. The barrier will not let us."
Nexhawk's eyes began to tear as well, but he brushed them off. "If it isn't possible to find a solution for bypassing the barrier for our future generations, then I will not risk those who fled Praecantaria to return there again, just to be defeated by the Hydromancers once more. You know our parents wouldn't approve of that. However, I promise you, if there is any opportunity for us to breach the shroud and let those born here to come to Praecantaria with us, I will not hesitate to use it. You can be certain of that."
He looked up, watching the phoenix riders circle the perimeter of Spodium. "But, please, understand that, if nothing can be done, we'll have to leave the notion at that."
Igniris lifted her head and nodded. "I understand this, brother. Thank you." She hesitated and then asked one more question. "So, you are willing to give up on the prophecy as well, correct?"
Nexhawk chuckled. "It didn't specify the continent on which the artifact will be assembled. And my intuition tells me we will find the second half here, on this or neighbouring continents."
His sister's eyes lit with hope. "If it is to be found here, maybe it will also show the way to return." She started to walk away, casting a final glance at him.
"Yes, Igniris. Maybe it will," Nexhawk muttered, watching her recede into ashen air. |

Brutus kept walking and returned to the city. He wished that some of the workers had at least walked with him back, his journey back had been lonely. He wished for a few things. He wished he had his tiger. He wished his brothers were here, he wished Conyr was here. He wished he knew where his sister was. He wished that the workers had told him their names. But Conyr was the biggest of his worries. That and his proposals. As Brutus was walking in the market of the city, he noticed that people had began to get used to Brutus. The giant was just another part of the Venezzian's life's now. And he certainly wasn't the oddest thing to happen to them as of late. Brutus sighed in boredom, these conferences were to him at least, exceptionally boring.every one wanted something and only seemed to offer something up if it made that thing they wanted possible. Brutus also felt sad that he hadn't really gotten to get to know any of the nations ambassadors, aside from Alixenus and Conyr of course. He had seemed to have "met" the dwarves ambassador. His first impressions might have been slightly... Blemished. But he hadn't liked him in the first place anyways. While in thought Brutus tripped over some one, and tripped over some one is a good way of explaining it. Brutus had been walking, and suddenly fell, and the yelp he heard was definitely a person. He hoped they weren't hurt to badly... So when he got up quickly to see if hey were fine he noticed something. This person was one of the ambassadors to Diyad, or he looked like one atleast. He wasn't the lead ambasador, nor the old one or the academic, he was young and Brutus hadn't heard him speak before. "Brutus sorry, is diyadian okay?" The giant held out his hand to the man to help him up.
