Yeah a pat on the back from devs who allow glitching is a really good reward, thx ccp ur so good
Why won't you get CCP to even audit their roster and make sure they didn't register someone after the sign up date and play them in a match too? This is almost confirmed and all we need is CCP to check
On top of glitching in the tourney, how is that not enough to overturn the decision?
Just give it to TP and call it a day.
There is still lag in pub matches today. There will always be lag and based on your video evidence you were doing pretty well on connection and the Battle Servers spinned up for the tournament are special PC districts. WTF was the only violators the entire tournament on the roster mismatch and WTF did it on purpose as a means to get out of the tournament. And I am going to ask again. How are you going to prove to CCP that Team Players didn't use the exploit as well? Because there's no video evidence or reports accusing them of exploiting? LOL
WTF used players who registered late and were kicked out of tourney, and apparently so did AE, why is nothing being done? |

whats to stop me from creating a gltich corp and infesting PC with these kinds of shinanigans.
im one of the people who broke down the invisability glich and could replicate it at will, ther are NUMOROUS other glitches in the game that very few people know about but are devistating if used correctly
so whats to stop me from creating a crack team of glitch exploiters and taking over space with glitches?
the melee glitch is actually one of the tamest aggro glitches in the game right now.
so people, send me some ingame mail if you want to join this crack team of glitch testers/abusers, becuase its VERY clear there isnt any consequences for doing so. There are rewards though, CCP has given one group stuff for finding the infinite OB glitch. We helped team true grit test PC and fix the lag while the guys in shanghai watched. we were given nothing. stop making **** up. ccp does not and should not reward glitchers. there is a total difference in someone finding a glitch and reporting it by submitting a ticket
there is a total difference in someone who has had tickets filed against them for exploiting a glitch on multiple video's with multiple threads of them admitting using it and CCP doing nothing about it yet |

You think someone telling you to STOP BREAKING THE GAME IN AN OFFICIAL MATCH is me trying to meta you? wow, just ******* wow.
lol yeaah, I know they are the global rules. Or at least, now I do. Never participated in a UF tourney before and wasn't aware there was a list of rules OTHER than the event rules ( how many times do I have to say it?). "It goes without saying"?! Not stating rules defeats the purpose of having the rules in the first place. Hur hur, you are subject to rules we did not attempt to inform you of before you broke them, hur hur. You didn't read the rules? GEE, WHO'S FAULT IS THAT? You've never participated in a UF tourney before? Not a surprise, you glitch to stay relevant, and they don't tolerate glitching. YES, NO CHEATING ALLOWED GOES WITHOUT SAYING IN A TOURNAMENT, LOL........... Your argument is unbelievably illogical. There are two lists of rules. I read the list of rules related to the event, was never told of a second list. I can forgive the fact that there were TWO lists of rules, but they were different. List 1. List 2 (event rules that I saw). One list has a rule about glitching, one list does not. Even the rule about glitching mandates that I am to receive a warning, and if I break the rule again, then DQ is in order. DQ doesn't come first just because I wasn't warned by CCP before I glitched multiple times. To top it off, I was never warned. Worst that could happen at this point according to UF rules is we receive a loss for the round we glitched in. That does not change the outcome of the tourney however. |

Well like I said there is a process to it and organized structure and procedure. The main point is you shouldn't be using the glitch to gain things but to prove replication steps. Sometimes there are no rewards sometimes there are but more likely if you post a video on how to redo it and give it address it directly to CCP they're not going to ban you or mutilate you in any way. Now mass exploits that are widespread such as the melee glitch here are definitely not going to net anything, but finding massive issues before they're a problem and helping CCP prevent it from becoming an epidemic would be more possible and also ask for a reward. It wouldn't hurt if your group found it first, found it in secret and nobody raises a stink anywhere about it as CCP quietly takes the poor glitch to the backyard stump.
It doesnt really matter now.
my point i guess is that the results of this WILL directly effect the metagame, if they rule that the current result stands then glitching in the game will be concidered fair game.
if the rule against it and overturn the tournament results or at the very least post that while they arnt changing the results they dont condone the behavior then glitching wont be so widespread.
personally if nothing is done or said then im starting the Glitch Ninjas, ive proven inthe past i can direct testing effectivly enough to recreate glitches and i can and will use it to prove why gliching cant be acceptable practice.
i will do it, and i will do it with the objective of showing why its a bad idea :P
official channels arnt really effective, after all rendering has caused many a tank death and you can EASILY abuse it to stay completly invisable while assaulting tanks :P
the melee glitch, the walk through walls tricks, the rapid fire mass driver (thing 3-4 shots in the span of time that 1 shot usually takes :P) rapid fire railgun and forgegun. oh and the invisability glitch still lives on in limited cases :P
these are only the start. |

Well its a broken imperfect statement. I cannot prove nor disprove nor likely could anyone else for that manner. How many people you known have been banned in Dust so far for cheating?
I am not trying to make a statement of supporting cheating I am more inference to CCP GM team's ability to deal with game bugs used to gainful advantages is too limited and hard to prove. There is really no battle recording in eve, no event logs and no way to reconstruct fights yet in Dust 514. |

Not gonna get into this waste of time argument, but if you had pay attention to the forums, you would have seen a number of AE players admitting that what's his name used the exploit. What makes you think he didn't use it in the tourney? Nobody has reason to lie about it do they?
I didn't play in the tourney game, but for my whole team to come back and say they were being killed via melee? lol... yea no proof needed. He's a known exploiter of the mechanic, but hey, we need video proof! lol
CCP is a joke, and they won't ban anyone. They can't afford to... literally. They make a broken game, and they can't punish people for exploiting it. Simple as that.
And with this 1 comment on the matter, I'm out. AE is known for condoning this tactic, so it's all cool. |

This is a dangerous precedent though. Forums admissions cannot be reliable evidence worthy of ban. Think ultimate troll cept your target is a company and the trap is set with lawyers.
While I am not accusing AE of doing this it's generally not a smart plan to punish people over things not in forum posts based on forum posts. Wow man,
It really speaks volumes about this community, that you people would go to such lengths to defend such a blatant and obvious exploit.
Not surprising really.
The bottom line:
Those who exploit any unintended game mechanic are cheaters, they know it, the community knows it. They should feel bad, but sadly because of the state of their generation, probably do not.
There is no such thing as honor or integrity amongst these types. There is no sense of belonging or responsibility to the DUST community in them. No, instead, it is all about them, what ever they can do to boost their in game stats. It really is pitiful, because, essentially, this is all their life will ever amount to. These are their greatest accomplishments, therefore they feel the need to defend such selfish and inexcusable behavior with the fervor of a man clinging to the edge of a cliff. You see, if they admit they are wrong in their actions, they, then they admit they have accomplished absolutely nothing with their lives except cheating on a video game. |

I'm pretty sure CCP monitors servers to see how people die / by what / by who. You telling me they can't see this for themselves? lol... good one
Sorry, but these guys got away with murder. They did it, they bragged about it, and nothing was done about it. Well done by CCP to show the community there's no consequences to cheating and exploiting in DUST.
I hope more broken mechanics pop up, and people exploit them even more, knowing fully well, nothing will be done to them.
And hey, why fix it right away right? Naaaaaaaaah, let's leave it in the game for a few months.
Edit: On a personal note, it's kinda sad you're defending the outcome of this. Asking for proof of what? That it was used? lol... nothing will be done about it. You know it, I know it. Just a simple nod of understanding of what went down would have sufficed. Don't stand there and be defensive asking for proof and go on about setting a precedent.
Just be honest. Just tell us CCP won't do anything about it, regardless of what was presented. I would +1 and move on knowing you were at least honest with people. |

You didn't need to read the rules or receive a warning from anybody to know that you were cheating. You knew, plain and simple.
Would you go into a bank, point a gun at a teller, and demand money simply because there was not a rule posted on the door of the bank and nobody advised you that it was against the rules? No, because you already know it's wrong!

How is there no leverage here? Clearly a large portion of the community is outraged this has been allowed to happen.
Blood tests were done at a college lab instead of criminal lab. - Thrown out. Video was a home production that was cut, pasted and edited - Thrown out regardless of content. Testimonies of Witnesses where found out to bribed. - Thrown out. There was nobody at the ball game watching it either.
All we have is we know that there was a rental on the stadium, for two teams and we know what every score on the board sounded like if it was a wooden or an aluminum bat. |

It was the biggest event in the history of this game, relative to dust 514, it's pretty huge. relative to eve, not so much, but they're two different games. |

We have no idea Who is on first, what is on second and I don't know on third. I have the raw 6 GB video if you would like to watch and download the entire thing? Shows me fumbling and setting up the camera, the pre-war barge teams, and the entire match against said team.
witness testimony and video evidence would convict someone 100 times out of 100, especially when you can see their name and face on the video, directly after committing an infraction. |
