How do you represent the community when you spend so much time attacking it and acting like it has no valid criticisms of CCP?

I think he represents the community very well in terms of the way we generally operate in the forms. We always attack each other and make fun of gomers who QQ and so on.

As CPM he's a player first and a way for information to get from us to CCP.

To the OP... play some team sports. If the ref doesn't catch it on the field then you pretty much have to live with it. Perhaps if you are ten you still think the world is or can be fair. Now, everybody can form opinions about cheating so-and-so's and how they play the game but you just have to find a way to kick ass anyway.

Football, soccer, hockey, and so on. There's always tricks people can do that are below the level that will be called by a ref as its part of the game.

Grow up a little bit.

This 1000x, i made a post on UF forums and PM'd UF admins about this with the video and nothing was done. tickets and IRC contact was sent to CCP a month ago, and nothing was done.

I warned CCP logibro in the announcements thread a week ago there was going to be a problem if no action was taken

Your ineffectual fumbling with the forum trolls is not what I'm talking about when I say you're attacking the community (more on that in a minute).

The facts are that a glitch was used during the tournament, brought to CCP's attention (you yourself have testified to this), and they did nothing about it. Your attempts to hold the community responsible for CCP's inaction is unbecoming of someone in the office you hold.

Additional, I fail to see how enabling trolls falls under the heading of "counter trolling". By engaging such people you ensure that should someone attempt rational discourse you can only either acknowledge points they have made and provide an opening for further attack by trolls or stonewall that point and kill discourse. How after "20 years" have you not learned the finer points of not feeding the trolls? How can you believe you are "burning them" when your criticisms are unsubstantiated suppositions like "you would have quit."? Criticisms which I found especially rich given your attempts to justify the absence of your fellow council members.

as you can clearly see and hear, the melee glitch was exploited and clearly changed the outcome of the match.

All of this during CCP's marquee "PRIME LEAGUE" tournament.

Members of my corp sent this video in to urgent fury, contacted devs in IRC, and sent in support tickets.

Did CCP remove AE from the tourney?
No!
Did CCP dock AE points for using a game-breaking glitch in the tourney?
No!
Did CCP so much as contact their members to give them a slap on the wrist, or say "stop it?"
NO!

How in good conscience can the developers can allow a team who has been observed, and recorded CHEATING in an OFFICIAL THREE MONTH LONG TOURNAMENT to not only continue to participate, but win the tourney overall?

In this thread you will probably see a lot of AE damage control, saying things like "LOL WE STOPPED" and "IT DIDNT MATTER LEL" when Ariana recorded nearly 100+ kills in the 3 matches against us, and none of that reasoning changes the fact that they were recorded using a game breaking glitch in the tournament.

The worst part of all of this, is because CCP never took any action, more deserving corps never got their shot in the final rounds.

Why won't CCP do anything?
Do they not care anymore?
Have they given up on their game?
Will devs continue to turn a blind eye to this thread and my pleas for help in the announcements section, support tickets and IRC?


Furthermore, what would the community do? Ban their corp from the tourney for condoning and knowingly exploiting a game breaking glitch? dock them points? Kick them out of the semifinals and replace them with a more deserving team?

Also, how do you feel about CCP turning a blind eye to this entire fiasco, ignoring people's cries for help they're losing games because the other team is CHEATING?

Game breaking exploits such as this have been punished in EVE for years.

And UF's posted rules clearly stated that the use of exploits is prohibited and grounds for disqualification. CCP sponsored the tournament, so this makes it their responsibility to uphold as well.

When Aperture Harmonics abused WH mechanics they were fined hundreds of billions of ISK by CCP in retaliation.

Incorrect, they used the infinite gun to kill hundreds (possibly thousands) of players in PVP who attempted to venture into that wormhole.

Game breaking? You have to sneak up on someone in order to kill a single person by hand... now, while a glitch may be a glitch, I don't think you can call this game breaking by any QQing of the imagination.

Do people really need to keep complaining about it ? You know nothing will be done about the tourney so suck it up. The Melee glitch is being fixed october 8th and there is no sprint glitch. In the video I saw you get melee from close range.

God dam, its a game ! Don't like it dont play it simple. Get mad ? play a different game and do not need to tell people you won't be spending money. Thats irrelevant. Be a grown up and say fuk it and keep playing.

Arirana doesn't sneak up on you, though. He hides behind corners with an active scanner and when he detects you, he runs at you in a heavily shielded speed suit. It doesn't matter if you know he is coming or not, your bullets will not drop him before he reaches you unless your entire team is firing at him.

And if you have to devote that many resources to one person, then yes. The game is effectively broken.


You cannot compare that to the knife in COD, because COD movement is not that fast and COD HP is not that high. The knife is easily dealt with there. The melee glitch ignores the high HP of the opponent, abuses the high HP of the glitcher himself and takes full advantage of the speed mods on the suit.

It is broken and has no legitimate counter.
