Uprising 1.5 Patch Notes:
Release date: 8th October
Localized versions: Coming Soon.
Neocom * The Neocom is now open by default in all cases where the Mercenary Quarters would previously be the default view. It can still be closed to move around the Mercenary Quarters. * The third person camera switches to view the active character from the front when the Neocom is open. * Various relevant tips have been added to the fitting screen panels. * The GÇ£backGÇ¥ button when editing a fit in the fitting screen has been renamed to GÇ£finishGÇ¥. * The Skills window correctly gives the default action for not purchased skills as GÇ£purchaseGÇ¥ rather than GÇ£trainGÇ¥. * Added Squad Finder: * The Squad Finder allows you to find and join publicly listed squads and squads lead by members of your corporation and/or alliance. * When you create a squad with the Squad Finder you can enter a short description and choose whether the squad should be private, public or only available to corporation and/or alliance members. You can change the squad's settings afterwards as well. * Each squad listing includes a latency indicator which shows you your own latency to the squad leader's region.
New Player Experience * Initial tutorials have been completely revised, now following a task-driven structure that rewards players for demonstrating proficiency in joining battles, creating fittings and training skills. These tasks are not mandatory, but represent common tasks that all players will want to complete anyway. Rewards take the form of militia dropsuits, vehicles, weapons and modules.
Gameplay * New War Points rewards have been added: * Intel Assist - rewards the scanner 15 War Points if their squad members kill scanned enemies, 25 War Points for vehicles or installations. Scanning War Points will still be received up to 10 seconds after a scan has ended if the target was damaged whilst scanned. * Equipment destruction - rewards the destruction of enemy equipment with 5 War Points. * Transport assist - After troops have been transported over 100M from the point where they boarded, the pilot will receive a reward equivalent to 15% of the War Points disembarked passengers earn for one minute. * Headshot Kill - 60 War Points. * Counter hacking - rewards a counter hack with 75 War Points. * Updated War Point reward message UI.
Corporations * Corporation CEOs and directors can now hand out roles to other members in their corporation. * The following roles can be granted (in addition to the director role): * Accountant: Responsible for a corporation's wallet. Accountants have the ability to transfer ISK from the corporation's mercenary wallet as well as monitor the corporation's wallet transactions. * Personnel Director: Charged with growing a corporation's membership. A personnel director has the ability to accept applications to the corporation from other mercenaries. * Terrestrial Combat Officer: Charged with organizing a corporation's ground fighting forces. Terrestrial combat officers can join all planetary conquest conflicts bringing members of their squad into the battle with them. The mercenaries in the squad being brought into the battle do not need to be members of the terrestrial combat officer's corporation. * Terrestrial Logistics Officer: Responsible for managing a corporation's terrestrial operations and logistics. This includes managing district reinforcement windows, district surface infrastructures, moving and selling clones.
Bug fixes and polish * Network library has been optimized for better network performance. * Improved server-client performance. * Rendering fixes. * Fixed melee exploit that allowed multiple fast melee strikes. * Fixed issue with drop uplinks that (sometimes) prevents valid drop uplinks from being displayed. * Fixed RDV navigation issues around sockets in almost all situations. Due to pushing back the vehicles and new eapons this seems to be a rather small patch. THe new warpoints are nice though. The tutorials? Well. We'll see. At least better than what we had before. |

Well. Bugfixes are always good. But for me it's the new WPs too. Squad FInder is some nice asset, but not really that necessary.
I wonder if we will now see more Dropships on the field. A pilot can make a good amount of WPs now when he drops a good team.
It will also be interesting to see if the amount of orbitals will increase. |

Can we expect Logi LAVs to get points for repairing vehicles in 1.6? Now that murder taxi is ineffective, would be nice to see people be rewarded for using them for their "intended" purpose. |

Does this apply to war barge strike use? A pilot could theoretically carry multiple multiple squad commanders--then ferry them a given distance before drop-off, then collect points from a joint strike effort. Additionally, do orbitals count toward WPs earned for enemy equipment destroyed in the hellfire? |

I think the transport assist should be increased to either 25% for one minute or 15% for 90 secs. To give a little more incentive for drivers and pilots.
Is this something that can be easily tweaked in the coding of a hotfix if needed?

The part where you receive WPs for scans up to a few seconds after the scan expires as long as the enemy was damaged during the scan duration was really well thought. All the new WP mechanics are looking pretty solid and well thought.

window is still 25 if targets aren't damaged.
This brings up the question... does the target(s) have to be damaged by a squad member in order to get the extra 10 second window of opportunity?

Aren't scouts supposed to use their speed to beat people? They're a pain in the ass already because you can't hit them. ANd hint: Don't try to attack an AR user who is looking in your direction by running straight at him. You aren't supposed to beat him that way. |

I found I spec'd 2.7 mil into scouts so I could run them as speed tankers like 95% of people who spec'd into scouts to only have CCP change what we used them for.

You need to fix this nova knife hit detection issue ASAP ,cqc needs to work perfect! If it does not work perfect people , especially new people assume the game is broken. There was a dev post I remember reading ( not sure by whom) that 1.5 would fix these hit detection issues with the nova knives.
Scouts die from many things easily an we have accepted that an adapted, but dying because we perfectly sneak behind a weak assailant with proficiency rated knives an a minmatar 25% scout damage bonus , charge strike a hacker 3 times an have him turn around an militia assault rifle us to death in .6 seconds an have the kill screen show he was in a militia suit with under 500 total HP is completely an utterly unacceptable. My knives do 560 damage without even charging them.
This occurance can not continue for any longer it needs to be fixed now. Their is nothing worse about this game than dumping millions of sp into something that has constantly been complained about an always swept under the rug an neglected.
If you can't fix them or don't know how that answer would satisfy us more than making other things more important an neglecting to finish doing what you said would be done for 1.5
We are forced to skill into other weapons an waste points just to survive, when we already have millions of sp in something that is broke, this is sidetrack our skill tree progression and is unacceptable considering we have been extremely patient. The sg is a perfect example an I have had proficiency 4 shotgun since may an ply started consecutively using it since this past week because the knives get me killed more than anything else nowadays .
An I'm a good sneaky scout, I'm not rushing in face to face, it's the behind kill with no hit detection that's killing all nova knife users at least a few times a game. Please make this a priority |

Remote armor repairers and shield transporters are being temporarily removed in Uprising 1.6 to focus on the very core modules first, so it wouldn't surprise me if LLAVs are also getting temporarily removed.

15 points is fine, I believe people are overestimating how many scanned kills your SQUAD will get. Also do not forget that simply tapping an enemy and dealing 1 damage will give you 25 points if that enemy is killed, so it seems more than fair to reward scans 15. |

While I like this feature as I'm constantly opening my Neocom, I've noticed some people disgusted by this feature. Wouldn't it be easier to have an option to turn this feature on / off in the general settings so that those of us who do want to have our neocom open the moment we log in, can. While those of us who want to have their Mercenary Quarters open by default, also can.
It's possible in EVE with the Ship Hanger / Captain Quarters. It should be possible with this... it doesn't even have to launch in 1.5's first patch...

I second this. My experience is similar: typically it's sneaking up on someone and unleading a charged strike with only one hit landing and second one missing because the target does half a stride to a side - with the miniscule NK hit radius this is enough to evade your strike. Mind you your target does this not to evade you specifically, they don't even know you are right there behid their back, they do it just because they are constantly strafing or swaying while looking the other way.
Please fix: either A) the damage radius and or angle of KN attack (160 degree or so, does not seem too OP to me in this setting) B) Allow charging knives and sprinting (it's ok if it even takes 2 x stamina) C) consider changing turn rate at least on heavies, but ideally on all suits: scouts fastest > mediums > heavy. You can do it even dynamically: normal and same turn speed for all suits up to 90 degree arc (to allow reasonable tracking) but if the player continues to turn, slow it down. |

I think all that active scanning business provides totally backward incentives and will only amount to boosting WP. It's gonna create an army of medium frame players that use AS not to disclose location of an enemy but to light up known enemies berofe shooting them.

Please fix: either A) the damage radius and or angle of KN attack (160 degree or so, does not seem too OP to me in this setting) B) Allow charging knives and sprinting (it's ok if it even takes 2 x stamina) C) consider changing turn rate at least on heavies, but ideally on all suits: scouts fastest > mediums > heavy. You can do it even dynamically: normal and same turn speed for all suits up to 90 degree arc (to allow reasonable tracking) but if the player continues to turn, slow it down.

I guess overall it's a good patch, as it really just adds stuff the game needs. Of course plenty of these things you'd have expected to be here already, but whatever. Of course, I feel like they could have at least toned aim-assist down just a bit. Because right now it looks like we're going to have to wade through at least one more month of super short time-to-kill and ARs ruling everything. |

It's balance. Some things gotta give. I am not seeing ppl give good ideas as to how to fix broken things in the game. Very strange: ppl only care that their specific fit, suit, weapon is taken care of and don't care about the big picture. This logic lead to everyone running in assault suit with Duvolle. No diversity, period. CAP ATTACK: THERE ARE NO SCOUTS LEFT IN THE GAME because they lose in each and every situations - even those where they were supposed to have a healthy advantage: sneaking and CQC. |

I am hoping that most mercs aren't gonna bother with the prototype scanners because the other ones will light up enough reds anyway.

Yes scouts used to be able to speed tank, but due to various hit box problems and the 1.4 changes to TTK, it no longer works. Speed now makes very little difference, and escape attempts are usually futile.

Well, some of it's good. Like the WP additions.
Other than that, seems like nothing will really change that much. No new maps, no balancing of weapons or vehicles, no new weapons, no armory, no marketplace...
I guess I understand that it's better to do nothing in this case than make a bad patch, I'm still kind of bummed out by the armory (at risk of sounding like a broken record). It can't be THAT hard to implement.
But I'll take what I can get. It's not a big patch, but I guess they all can't be. |

I'm sorry but the WP for passengers (though excellent for my squad) will not encourage me to help transport my team. If I drop an LAV and give a guy a lift they will still not get out and steal my ride later only to get it destroyed one way or another and my DS's will still be rarely used as they think its an offensive vehicle and keep gunning.
These will only work with the option to remove turrets, lock to the driver seat and give us a deployment option to 'encourage' them to leave |

Your presumption is wrong scouts are not supposed to have a healthy advantage at cqc that is a play style that has been introduced from other games, people said oh wow I can move fast equip a shotty and I'm good, problem is scouts are made to SCOUT which means go look around, scan, and hack, anything you do otherwise including nk, sub, shotty and attempting to take on the classes that are designed to kill, assault and heavy well thats on you, let me reiterate, scouts are fine for their intended purpose, like being the first to the objective, but they are not frontline assault troops. My advice is use it the way it was intended and you will be happier. Run to the objective hack scan and then change into a suit meant for frontline combat, scouts are just supportive but everyone wants to be a killer.....

The biggest disappointment for me with 1.5 is the NPE sounds underwhelming. I'm glad they are focusing on "doing" instead of "telling," but there should be a combat scenario that's scripted and has you hack objectives, call in a tank, switch weapons at the depot, remote-repair something, drop a nanohive and an uplink, fire turrets, launch an orbital bombardment, introduce the controls etc. It should give new players a "tour" of the game's features while introducing the mechanics.
Ideally there would be a story pushing you through the tutorial. CCP should play the first Halo, and the original Portal to get inspiration for how do do this. Both games did a great job with introducing the player to new concepts. |

Transportation WP is perfect as a system if the players won't do what they are supposed to do then that's their problem. Removing turrets from vehicles should help giving them a hint that Dropships are supposed to transport sometimes...
And you guys are getting too spoiled. You really expect game breaking changes every month? Does other companies release massive expansions every month? Any way... This patch is good, it's about laying foundations for something bigger. New tutorials, tips in fitting screens and squad finder will help this game a lot - a lot - with player retention. It's something necessary and called for, in the long run it will make the game you play better, much more than pretty much anything else.
Once everything is in place I'm sure that we will see the big push with new content and everything else that we want to see, but until there hang on. Be patient. Or don't, go play PS2, GTA V, then come back, or don't. Just stop pointlessly b!tching around in the forum, if you have something constructive to say go ahead but that's so rare it's not even worth mentioning. |

Finally getting point for counterhacking was it so hard that it had to wait for 1.5, the rest is just warpoint farmville (easy orbitals).

Very few roles it would be better to make a checklist with different roles and allow CEOs to make their own custom roles

Some advice to both of you - ignore the 16dB scanner, nobody uses it. You shouldn't really worry about proto scanners in pub matches, just aim to beat the advanced scanners if you're that concerned(most people use standard level scanners in pubs anyway). Even in PC matches the 16dB scanner isn't used more than once as the cooldown sucks. Aim to beat the 28dB scanners in a PC(some players still only use advanced scanners in PC).

No, it will only display the squads out of battle right now. They plan to implement visibility of deployed squads and entering queues late on. |

Stile's 100% correct here, Brothers. The Meta 9 Scanner's performance tradeoff is steep. It is poop compared to other proto models, so we'll only see if/when a wealthy Logi is somehow enraged by or afraid of an opposing Scout.

Im glad to see that they didnt go overboard on DS WP.
Another poster was worried about massive WP for OB passengers. Lets say a ds pilot drops three squad leaders and three scouts. The scouts hack one null cannon and two installations each and the squad leaders drop one OB each for 10 kills and 10 equipment each.
300 wp for null cannon hacks 300 wp for installation hacks 1500 wp for 30 kills 150 wp for 30 equipment destructions
Thats 2250 total wp and the pilot only earns 338 wp.
Now the same ds pilot is given a defend order and two competent gunners instead. He can provide capture support and get WP for being in the proximity providing overwatch after hot drops. All this contributing to the next OB.

Therein lies the problem. A lot of us were demanding CCP to give us as much information possible ahead of time before implementing any changes. Now CCP is doing that and suddenly people don't like what they see. |

Disagreed. Scouts need not be concerned about Scanner Spam, provided they are sufficiently dampened.
Good scanners cost a lot of isk and SP to skill into, plus they are CPU and PG hogs.
It'll just be that much more satisfying to kill that medium as he reads the 'some margin of error' message at the top of his screen. I hope everyone runs them. |

What about new weapons and gear? since it got pushed, we should maybe start a discussion as to why i t got pushed and also what we, as the player base, can help you with in order to accelerate the introduction of these pieces int eh balancing puzzle.
What about some skill advantages to drop uplink, scanners, nano's, and repair tools - e.g., 2% per level in CPU/PG reduction, depending on what the equipment is more heavily dependent upon?
Kind of like the explosives, LW ops, and SA ops skills.

Targets lost below the noise floor don't tell a radar operator that the fidelity of their scan is questionable.
But then again, the sensitivity of remote sensing equipment is given in NEGATIVE dB and can sense particularly large signatures beyond their nominal range.
Would like to see active scanner range/sensitivity act more like Laser range/damage curve but that's probably way beyond the level of realism CCP wants in this game...and would just confuse people. |

There is no mention of it in the patch notes so if they did work on it I wouldn't know. As far as I am concerned they didn't do what they promised since they are not acknowledging it. |

The fact of the matter is that ppl are using it now as is. In my situation I get scanned down probably every other game I join even now on advanced minmatar small frame with level 3 (or 4 - don't remember exactly) in dampening. I am sure it's not scouts who scan me down as we dont have CPU/PG for higher tier AS, it's logis who are doing the job - and logis do have enough CPU/PG to equip w/e they want. When they add rewards for scanning things down, I am sure there is gonna be at least one logi on each team running with an proto AS. Hell, even now some logi's brag about running two scanners in tandem and just rotating them, so that there is no delay in intel acquisition.
I guess we'll wait and see but my prediction is that scouts will get used to living with the constant 'you've been scanned' across their screen. |

I disagree. All scout suits have bonuses to stealth (dampening), thus making them innately harder to find and see. The minmatar scout suit has a racial bonus to melee and nova knives. The Gallente scout suit has an extra bonus to stealth (scan range). Clearly there is more to the scout role than those you've mentioned. There is some combat intended, although certainly not frontline with the blob as you say.
To say scouts aren't supposed to use weapons, especially nova knives, is plain out of step with their (current) design. Nova knife bonus and stealth perks suggests getting close to your enemy. The fact they have two weapon slots like other roles, and that their fit is invalid unless you fill one of them, suggests a combat role. Scouts are made of paper and die much faster outside of close range. So does it not make sense that their best combat is within 10m with lots of things to hide behind? (aka CQC).
I'm not suggesting they should be buffed explicitly to excel at CQC, I'm suggesting that's probably where they're at their most dangerous. Your suggesting they're a pure recon role flies in the face of every bonus they have.

one other thing if dust will perform very good on initial platform,read "PS3", they will have more resources, man power, and support from CCP so the porting part is irrelevant IMO

Where is our fix for logistics scanning? You know how hard it makes being a logi when you can't see allies health...so what's going on? Shouldn't this be one of the main fixes for 1.5? Obviously wasn't pushed hard enough -_- |

They had said they were monitoring the situation and AA, etc. I just thought there'd be an adjustment in there somewhere. It makes AFK-ing seem a lot more appealing, since that still works anyway. |

Honestly all that I want to see is some good matchmaking. new players are going to get turned away from this game because they get out of the academy and get blasted by some jerk using the "flavor of the month" or pub stomping with prototype stuff when they only have basic and militia gear.
matchmaking should be based on allocated SP. if that is all i saw in an update i would be happy. I would wait a month for that. |

[/ME] So in order to play as a Scout competitively, your advice is to don another suit almost immediately? Do you even play this game? YOU know what Scouts are supposed to do? Cause you sound like you don't have a clue.
Also, some people have mentioned that Scouts need to profile dampen. If I need a mod in my slots in order to use my "advantage" then it's not much of an advantage. If that's how it should be then it should be built in. Mediums don't need extra equipment to survive more, its built in, same with heavies to even more extent. They can choose to further accentuate this and equip items that complement these inherited bonus', or choose to equip mods that shore up their weaknesses, or whatever. I should not need a mod to use my advantage, it should come built in as do the other suits.
I get so tired of, "use Scouts how they are intended" like you ******* have a clue. Don't tell me I am not supposed to be able to kill anyone in a game about killing. So are heavies only supposed to be AV? And assault kill infantry? and logi's heal infantry? and scouts hack ****? If this is true then only let them be able to do that and do away with the false notion of builds and choice. As it stands, people seem to think only Scouts should be in a limited capacity role, and all others can do whatever the hell they want. So why are Scouts the only ones without options? Right now a medium/Assault can stand toe to toe with a heavy, run as fast as a Scout, and carry and spec whatever they want. Same with logi for the most part. This is balance? A Scout can be a nimble Assassin, a sniper, suicide bomber, "spectator" (as many of you seem to believe), or speed tank; but they are not any of those other than spectator at the moment. Realistically they should even be able to sub as a quicker although weaker tank if that's what you wanna do. This game is about choices and class building as much as it is about shooting. Go ahead and take that away and then tell me how different this game is from any other?
In order to have choice you need to have a semblance of balance. Doesn't have to be perfect but right now it's far ******* from it. Not just for Scouts either. All classes need choice and balance. Balance is not subjective as many of you seem to preach. Balance does not mean everyone should die quickly, or take forever. Balance means that I can suit up the way I want with the class I want with the mods I want, and if I play into how I spec and have battlefield advantages, (element of surprise, better gear, high ground, ect), I should win that fight ESPECIALLY one on one. The hard part is you must balance the suits FIRST, then balance weapons, then vehicles, then mods, then equipment. Since this is not being done you have seen the results. Endless cycles of tweaks on the same friggen items and very little progression actually being made in the big picture. This is the logical progression though, if suits are balanced and then you balance weapons, you may discover some combinations are OP, and tweak the root of the issue rather than the symptom. If you know your suits are balanced individually, and the weapons are balanced individually, but stumble upon a combo of the two that is OP, you can just tweak the CPU/PG/Slots to compensate. Thats what that **** is there for. Follow progression and done. Rework sucks.
Now to close out this unbearably long post with "When are we going to acknowledge or fix the equipment delay bug introduced in 1.3"? I had one Dev reply with they saw it over 2 months ago and no update since then even though I keep bumping my own post just to get a response. Just an update. No demands for a time, or even a fix, just an update and acknowledgement that it was not lost in the jumble of **** to fix. I was all cordial and roses and **** until 2 months went by with no reply. Just gonna ignore this one and hope it goes away? I have sent emails, updated the appropriate threads, and persistently politely asked about this just to be ignored. I hope it's unintentional but at this point it's pretty hard to believe that's the case. If you are purposely ignoring this issue or me bringing this issue up then **** you and your game, don't spend the 50 I gave ya all in one place. BTW you may have noticed I have given up on being polite and cordial as I honestly don't give a **** any longer and 2 months of being ignored was enough for me to not feel the "value of a paying customer". Way to convert in the wrong direction. Need proof, look through my post history. |

The vehicle balancing act of Uprising 1.5 was delayed. This list is the Rest Of The Patch. So it is somewhat smaller. We still have no delivery date for the vehicle changes. |

If a friendly deployed from a dropship hacks a hostile NULL cannon, and it takes over the given one minute for the hack to complete, does the pilot still receive WP?
And also as an observation, perhaps WP gain should be removed for OBs. Or at least, WP gain shouldn't contribute to OBs. As more and more ways to earn WP are introduced I have a feeling OBs are just going to fall like rain. |

You can't get any WP if they aren't earned, but that wasn't quite what the question was. This should help:
Pilot drops off player(timer starts) -> player hacks objective(virus working) -> timer ends -> objective flips and the hacker earns WP
Will the dropship pilot earn any WP when the hacker earns their WP?
I asked on page 2 and haven't received an answer(I would be very surprised if I ever did get an answer). |

I agree, I never post but it ls in their interest to not fix it. they are clearly farming Aurum s. Just stop feeding them. Make sure they can not, not do anything about the fortunate overtuning and lack of fix and especially the beyond poor radar tracking. They are trying to make u all spend more while at the same time not fixing known stuff, nothing else. Turn off your Augments and jump a free rig most times. Most of all keep on complaining in public forums as much as possible they love that too. Use the word review in the posts it helps potential gamers see our current feelings better. |

And what does CCP do, keeps the infantry game in the ditch with continued failed attempts at digging it out.. The reality is they built a game then moved the Devs onto the next game (Uprising). While we were all getting the Beta working well (Chromosome) they changed direction and blew the game up. Destroyed it completely. Now we are at the point where the lumbering mass that is the brain trust left to do work are now ... still hacking away on the new game.
They seem to have no concept that they are changing virtually the entire game over most releases. Then again, I have stated for quite some time now that CCP/Shanghai has no concept.
As to vehicles, we play them, we needed some tweaks for balance so instead we will get useless husks and a new Skill Tree that they have yet to decide if they are willing to give the SP refund to support.
Well, I have quit buying Packs. That is my level of support to support their level of development. I could have said development skills but it just felt wrong. |

I dont care if your leader of of a corp or in one , Because this update basically rewards those who know how to work as a team and i'll be glad when they add more team players actions , Such as killing a person that killed your Faction/Teammate.
Ive seen this way to many times im battling fighting with all i have and i see a field of uplinks and armor ammo refills things and my teammates just run right past them so hopefully with this new update 1.5 they will play more like a team instead of a "ratio *****" Cause lets face it when you care about ratio fisrt and foremost you neglect your team cause you will not take a chance ive seen you coward greedy fuks on the field.

What were you using, ladwar? You used to Tank, was it turret or sniper rifle?
Anyway, I was able to see a turret briefly. But zooming in on it made it disappear. As I was alone in my tank I moved to the top turret to find the target and got back to the main gun to kill it. At least it wasn't a rail gun that had aggro'd on me.
Rendering fixes that are not findable seems ... vague. At best.

DUST has always had rewards for team/squad play in DUST. Many have been looking forward to, or dreading, this release because it was to have the vehicle balancing solution. That got delayed and it was only recently that we even found out that these other items were on the plate. That said, it is also true that many players only play Lone Wolf style and there is no reason to rag on them. The game is free to play as well as open on how to play (if you aren't in a vehicle anyway). A lot of the negative comments are vehicle related, just in case you missed that tiny little piece of news.
I seriously don't understand your concern about running past uplinks. They are deployed and so are the Mercs. Running past many Hives will give you the ammo/armor and the owner gets the reward. If by some chance were meant Red uplinks and hives then what does that have to do with you? The others are making their own tactical decisions. Sort of their right, you know?

to be honest the AR's don't need proficiency the sharp shooter skill is the best I think. proficiency just makes a GEK-38 AR kill a maxed heavy in less than 3 seconds is a issue, sure the heavy maybe slow but it should not I repeat SHOULD NOT die that damn easily it should actually take 3 or 4 duvolle AR's to kill a heavy not one guy with a GEK-38 with whatever damage modification and proficiency he has. its gonna end up being classified as a OVER POWERED WEAPON if this goes on any longer only officer weapons can do that amount of damage and get reconized for it or feared. |

We are forced to skill into other weapons an waste points just to survive, when we already have millions of sp in something that is broke, this is sidetrack our skill tree progression and is unacceptable considering we have been extremely patient. The sg is a perfect example an I have had proficiency 4 shotgun since may an ply started consecutively using it since this past week because the knives get me killed more than anything else nowadays .
An I'm a good sneaky scout, I'm not rushing in face to face, it's the behind kill with no hit detection that's killing all nova knife users at least a few times a game. Please make this a priority I second this. My experience is similar: typically it's sneaking up on someone and unleading a charged strike with only one hit landing and second one missing because the target does half a stride to a side - with the miniscule NK hit radius this is enough to evade your strike. Mind you your target does this not to evade you specifically, they don't even know you are right there behid their back, they do it just because they are constantly strafing or swaying while looking the other way. Please fix: either A) the damage radius and or angle of KN attack (160 degree or so, does not seem too OP to me in this setting) B) Allow charging knives and sprinting (it's ok if it even takes 2 x stamina) C) consider changing turn rate at least on heavies, but ideally on all suits: scouts fastest > mediums > heavy. You can do it even dynamically: normal and same turn speed for all suits up to 90 degree arc (to allow reasonable tracking) but if the player continues to turn, slow it down. No. As if heavies are not slow enough. It's balance. Some things gotta give. I am not seeing ppl give good ideas as to how to fix broken things in the game. Very strange: ppl only care that their specific fit, suit, weapon is taken care of and don't care about the big picture. This logic lead to everyone running in assault suit with Duvolle. No diversity, period. CAP ATTACK: THERE ARE NO SCOUTS LEFT IN THE GAME because they lose in each and every situations - even those where they were supposed to have a healthy advantage: sneaking and CQC.
its rare to see any light frame scouts live through face to face fights but they got advanced and higher grade suits along with everything else to go with it
