My knives do 560 damage without even charging them.
This occurance can not continue for any longer it needs to be fixed now. Their is nothing worse about this game than dumping millions of sp into something that has constantly been complained about an always swept under the rug an neglected.
If you can't fix them or don't know how that answer would satisfy us more than making other things more important an neglecting to finish doing what you said would be done for 1.5
We are forced to skill into other weapons an waste points just to survive, when we already have millions of sp in something that is broke, this is sidetrack our skill tree progression and is unacceptable considering we have been extremely patient. The sg is a perfect example an I have had proficiency 4 shotgun since may an ply started consecutively using it since this past week because the knives get me killed more than anything else nowadays .
An I'm a good sneaky scout, I'm not rushing in face to face, it's the behind kill with no hit detection that's killing all nova knife users at least a few times a game. Please make this a priority
I second this. My experience is similar: typically it's sneaking up on someone and unleading a charged strike with only one hit landing and second one missing because the target does half a stride to a side - with the miniscule NK hit radius this is enough to evade your strike. Mind you your target does this not to evade you specifically, they don't even know you are right there behid their back, they do it just because they are constantly strafing or swaying while looking the other way.
Please fix: either A) the damage radius and or angle of KN attack (160 degree or so, does not seem too OP to me in this setting) B) Allow charging knives and sprinting (it's ok if it even takes 2 x stamina) C) consider changing turn rate at least on heavies, but ideally on all suits: scouts fastest > mediums > heavy. You can do it even dynamically: normal and same turn speed for all suits up to 90 degree arc (to allow reasonable tracking) but if the player continues to turn, slow it down. |

I think all that active scanning business provides totally backward incentives and will only amount to boosting WP. It's gonna create an army of medium frame players that use AS not to disclose location of an enemy but to light up known enemies berofe shooting them.
As usual scouts stand only to lose. Now it will be even more impossible to stay stealthy that everyone and their grandmother is gonna start spamming advanced AS. |

Lol sure. The highest adrenaline adventure! Being tossed around and shaken in midair, pulling 6 to 9 G's on occasion, then falling down in a white hot burning ball of twisted metal - this is the best amusement park ride ever! Why would I ever not to hop into that charriot of death - if you survive you got a story to tell! |

Disagreed. Scouts need not be concerned about Scanner Spam, provided they are sufficiently dampened.
And which scout is sufficiently dumpened? I give up - I don't got that 15 dB signature to beat proto AS. I run around lighting up like Xmas tree with 'u've been scanned'. I got level 3 into dumpening, so... |

No. As if heavies are not slow enough.
It's balance. Some things gotta give. I am not seeing ppl give good ideas as to how to fix broken things in the game. Very strange: ppl only care that their specific fit, suit, weapon is taken care of and don't care about the big picture. This logic lead to everyone running in assault suit with Duvolle. No diversity, period. CAP ATTACK: THERE ARE NO SCOUTS LEFT IN THE GAME because they lose in each and every situations - even those where they were supposed to have a healthy advantage: sneaking and CQC. |

It'll just be that much more satisfying to kill that medium as he reads the 'some margin of error' message at the top of his screen. I hope everyone runs them.
The fact of the matter is that ppl are using it now as is. In my situation I get scanned down probably every other game I join even now on advanced minmatar small frame with level 3 (or 4 - don't remember exactly) in dampening. I am sure it's not scouts who scan me down as we dont have CPU/PG for higher tier AS, it's logis who are doing the job - and logis do have enough CPU/PG to equip w/e they want. When they add rewards for scanning things down, I am sure there is gonna be at least one logi on each team running with an proto AS. Hell, even now some logi's brag about running two scanners in tandem and just rotating them, so that there is no delay in intel acquisition.
I guess we'll wait and see but my prediction is that scouts will get used to living with the constant 'you've been scanned' across their screen. |
