1301. Caldari/Assualt Suits = worthless in 1.4 - in General Discussions [original thread]
Shields were ALWAYs week against AR. Armor is 22% more resistant to AR damage. If you are a shield tank you originally weren't designed to be fighting in AR range. We don't have a great anti armor close up weapon yet. Once we do it will be awesome.

1302. Aim assist makes gun-game a joke - in General Discussions [original thread]
Don't fight in AR range? Get a different gun? Armor tank to fight against the anti-shield advantage of the AR? Oh wait everyone specced to caldari supershield suits. But shield tanking was built for short quick engagements and mid/long range not t...

1304. Hit detection still broken to the benefit of high-ROF weapons? - in General Discussions [original thread]
I'm pretty sure that the shotgun is hitscan, but applies its damage with some funky formula as a function of the optimal range of the gun, but also the portion of the target that is in the hit area. Hitscan is plagueing the weapon probably too bec...

1308. KBM Skill IS NOT DS3 Skill: Why aim assist? - in General Discussions [original thread]
That is to say, you can't compare them. The way the client/server deals with their input is very different. DS3 is/was an order of magnitude more difficult to manage and control than the keyboard (as far as aiming and tracking are concerned). Re...

1313. How Aim Assist Has Changed The Game - in General Discussions [original thread]
Gallente AR (plasma rifle) is designed to be the hardest hitting close range direct fire weapon. It is not supposed to have a long ttk. Also you can't talk about aim assist and not hit detection. High RoF weapons got more of a buff from hit detect...
