Likes: New cameras movements for LAV, but the dropship camera is bad for non-assualts. Awesome new maps and structures. The new sounds and special effects are great. Textures are better, especially on dropsuits. Aiming is smooth and aim-assist isn't too high and hit detection is greatly improved; lasers, charge SCR, and shotguns are are more useful. Matchmaking actually works after it was hotfixed, getting into battles is fast; teams aren't unevenly stacked. Murder taxi- its not a thing anymore. Active scanners are more useful.
Dislikes: Ambush spawning is still bad, could be worse than before actually. Can't see health bars of friendlies when using the repair tool. All non-AUR sentinels look the same now. Minmitar Scouts all look prototype. Light frames are worthless for combat since hit-detection is better. There's a pipe that blocks null cannons. The active defense/repair module effect lasts forever and there's a weird box in front of Assault Dropships when used. |

Initial impression - I don't like the way skill at shooting people has been all but removed from the game. Dying so fast it's untrue. Makes it less of a challenge, you took the "pray" out of "spray and pray" I guess :(
The rest of the changes seem good though. Not played enough to comment on anything much else yet. |

Woo first post! well ive been playing dust since beta and regardless of all your whining the game has grown up to be way better than chrome. the reason i decided to start posting on the forums was to get this one thing off my chest that i've benn wanting to say since i started reading the forums... I think some of the most significant complaints have come from confusion over long term design gameplay and players' interpretation of how it fits in their understanding.
For some reason, the weapons devblog's theme didn't really get traction with players' understanding. It came at a time when we have had only 50% of all racial weapons and he hit detection and strafing speed were not meeting design goals.
Primarily, people are disappointed with the ARs killing speed. More bullets are hitting the target now. It's especially deadly in the hands of people with sharpshooter trained. But people don't get weapon design and damage application. The idea tat blasters/plasma is the most deadly up close weapon should be more obvious to more people.
The debate about balance now is centered around 'time to kill' because brick tanking was so prevalent in 1.0-1.3 and because the small range of direct fire weapons and their limited damage projection profiles. I really like the target intel on the target now. This SHOULD help this immensely if players realize this.
However I think a weapon design blog 2.0 should be in the pipe to clarify that weapon choice will become a very decisive factor in figuring your survivability because of projection and application.
Perhaps an explanation of the accuracy stat and if it or how it is related to dispersion and kick. |

Played many many matches today, and we were plagued by the squad members getting dropped bit.
Our corp groups only managed a TWO battles in a row with everyone going in at the same time I believe. Every other time, we'd lose people upon joining the battle, then have everyone leave and try to join again.
People also became "bugged" in this process, and would be unable to join squads or battles without logging out and back in.
The rhythm was like so: Start: Find Battle 1. Does everyone have waiting to deploy? (Yes, yes, yes, yes, no, no)..... ******* 2. Everyone cancel! 3. Soandso and soandso relog! 4. We're back! 5. Squad is bugged now, disband, I'll reform 6. I'm bugged now too!... I'll relog. 7. I'm back.... 8. Ok, we're going to try to join again (Go back to 1.)
Part Deux: 1. Is everyone on the warbarge....? 2. Nope... we're missing Soandso 3. Everyone leave battle... (Go back to 3 and or 5)
Finish a battle? Go back to start. Odds are you won't make it to the second battle without have to restart the list at some point.
Today we also had multiple people getting disconnected from the server (including myself). At least one time, upon logging back in, I was getting "You don't have permission to speak in this channel" when trying to talk in Corp. Had to relog again.
So, it's hard for me to give an informed opinion on the matchmaking when simply getting everyone to show up is such a huge problem. I capped out this week, but the painfulness of just getting a single squad into a match has made me feel like shelving this until that gets fixed.
I don't "hate" the aim-assist, but with hit detection and aim being better now - it seems like people die much much too fast. With no damage mods or points in assault rifles, I was tearing through heavies like they were made of paper. It should go without saying that everyone else also dies quickly, regardless of whether they've stacked proto shields/armor or nothing.
Since that effectively makes those protective measures pointless, you might want to consider rolling back that 10% across the board damage bonus you instituted right after uprising launched (that was compensating for poor hit detection, no?). Since you adjusted armor values and speed penalties, you may also want to take another look at suit balances as you the 30hp bonus the Amarr Assault gets over Caldari/Gallente doesn't seem worth a 4% speed hit and a slot considering. |

I'm not really sure what happened here, but from my experience playing the last couple of days selecting equipment with the mouse has gotten more difficult. Whined in local about briefly and a couple of players seemed to agree with me.

I concur. I was excited to have the radial selections fixed for kb/m users, but it's not, it's not changed from what I can tell. Hotkey assignments would be amazing here. Obviously fixing the selection via the wheel would be nice too, but I just want a solid, quick and accurate way of selecting equipment. |

I'm officially running a BPO logi suit with militia equipment until aim assist is toned down or strafing caps are removed. There's literally no point in gear diversity or using good equipment like triage hives when you get gunned down ever 3 seconds. |

I also will be running straight BPOs until the aim assist is lessened. This is terrible and there is no point in being good if a noob can artificially fight above his weight class due to a computer aiming for him.
Infantry are starting to suffer from the same symptoms tanks are suffering from where we have all this cool stuff we COULD put on our tanks to make them unique and do cool things but in the interest of surviving more than 2 seconds simply cant.
It is simply a race to hipfire DPS at ADS ranges and a lot more fittings in 1.4 are simply brick fits meant to take one or two more shots than the other guy in hopes of killing him before he kills you.
This guy i have been squadding with for a couple days now has been MELTING multiple heavies in a single clip with his GEK and facepalms the entire time while he does it.

But there CCP offer me to forget my skill and use this stupid aim assist only. Just see how Dice made it in bf3 and dont make your own mistakes, learn from succesfull done job.
Solution is easy - increasing max level of sens in x4 and nerf aim assist. With this solution newbies can play on low level on sens, strong players will set maximum.
At start increase maximum cap of speed of gamepad's sensitivity to equal mouse on hip fire. But in zoom mode it must be a little slower than on hip mode.
And, maybe no one will need so strong aim assist. |

Mouse have good speed for any action, its depend by skill only now. And here is hardware with switchable DPI and macroses... cost 10$
Gamepad is too slow now, i have skill to operate with x3 or x4 faster controls. CCP dont let me it, they just gave me aim assist wich i dont need. Ok, i just dont play this game since 1.3. I hoped about 1.4, but they still think i am cripple with slow reactions.
independently tuning is good, when scale of sens for gamepad is from very slow (for newbies) to equal mouse sens. If they will keep current sensitivity - it will epic fail. |

With that said ^^^^^ Does the efficiency when we are on a player calculate in the damage mods that you have fitted? I have only seen 110% efficiency or 165% (When aiming at the head). ANd I know I have some fits that should have more or less than this. |

CCP I am hanging in there by a thread. I love EVE (have played for many years) and loved the idea of Dust (bought my first console ever just to play it). But what you are forcing me to endure to play this game has gone beyond 'a bad patch day' and turned into precedent that has been experienced from day 1 of beta until now.
I know you are understaffed and working hard, but that doesn't change the fact that I am a paying customer (one of thousands) and hard work does not equal a business model. I as a customer (who loved CCP's rep in EVE) have become disenfranchised and am still holding on because I share the dream that CCP has for what Dust could be in the EVE universe in the future.
That dream is getting harder and harder to hang on to. I truly thank you for your hard work and hope that some other variable can be modified to bring myself and the other disenfranchised players who share your dream back from the brink. |

I don't have time for a full post but first just want to say he new environments are amazing! The new maps are so fun. The aimbot is a bit much though. It's compensating for real aim a bit too much. Controller players are getting kills too easy. Frame rate is still not up to par and that's the biggest problem. Did I mention the aimbot is killing me? Now I strictly use mass driver so it's not so bad. Again the new maps are a thing of beauty. And the background is gorgeous!
Edit: I don't mention I'm KBM user. Now totally inferior. No aim assist and ADS is gimped out somehow. |

CCP, some russian players caught the overreaching aim assist on video and it is in a thread on GD. Please look at it and see why people are complaining about it. Aim assist should never aim for you and it has really messed things up. |

As of today, squad members are still randomly dropped from the squad before deployment. The only way to rejoin the squad is by everyone logging out and logging back in. It is very annoying and frustrating to say the least. After a couple if times happening, a few squad members did not want to play anymore. This is very bad for the game and needs fixing ASAP! |

The new maps are awesome. really, they are bringing in some fresh style of gameplay. more cqc ++ls- matchmaking doesnt work. i wold like to fight gainst players with the same level of skills. aim assist is a joke. its far too strong and it takes away any skill that is requiered t kill somebody. aiming with MKB is really bad. give us the option to set sensitivity for hipfireing and ADS. lower strafing speed killed any kind of speed-tanking. give the scout suits a ne role on the battlefield. |

I also will be using a lot more sniping fits until aim assist gets turned down. There's no point in getting into close fights when ar's take you down in under 2 sec. Hmm... Maybe I should use laser rifles of tac ar's to stay away from the heat? |

hey CCP I had 32mil isk b4 1.4 but after I got 25mil isk , and that cuz of your dam aimbot I always as a heavy get hit in the head on the last shot and it bleeds me out evey time my suits cost me 154,000isk per 1 I only make 200k or if I defined A or B and the red dots don't take it from me I get 300k and as my sh**y teammates my cropmate run off to defined the other letter thay all leave me alone. Yes at a closed in area I can kill 4 ppl at a time that's only cuz your aimbot dose not do well in that type of area im 2 to 3mil sp off from running at 100%, im only at 50% now and I have not even got my as I say "pro fish in sea" to lv 4 yeti had to down grade my suit from the sin proto to the armarr proto for 1 more 10% dmg mod but wait I might as well use the mh 82 hmg cuz its dmg is only 1.10 points off from the proto and it cost less by at lest 20k isk! You should buff the dmg on the proto by 1 more point to make it worth my time I mean the smg dose more and if that's not bad enough the Assault smg dose the same dmg as the M512-A smg but also has a faster rate of fire y is that CCP but the Assault hmg dos less dmg with same rate of fire and the Burst has a 15.84 dmg with a rpm of 4000 wait something wroug with this,
so..... your telling me your SIDEARM DOSE MORE DMG THEN MY MAIN WEP if that's the case ill just trun the aimbot on and dual w the mother****ing ASSAULT PROTO SMG ID KILL ANY1 u ppl said u were buffing the heavy yet I don't see that happening anytime soon BTW the proto assault smg dose 25.30 dmg that's more then the GASTUN'S Min-7 hmg this only dose 21.60 dmg
