That is not a good wow. kanami's boobs were tad over the top (hardlu unusual for anime though) but apart from that it was awesome to finally see her in the show, nice to see a bit more focus on plant hywaden as well. and aldnoah actually makes me sad, everything from the setting to the visuals to the music to the characters and even the freaking tagline, everything screams that this should be one of those shows at the pinnacle at what anime can be, something that should be placed alongside the likes of fate/zero as a must watch, but the writing is just so bad. The first couple of episodes which the butcher wrote were great, they had such promise, but since then things have just spiraled downhill. i'm still gonna watch it, much like you watch a train wreck, in the vain hope that something good might emerge from the wreckage surrounding it.

It's Clannad - and we know Tomoyo doesn't know his mother, so we can expect something. So you know what the writer did? He makes you wish it never comes. I'll be playing this through again - I choose Atsuko for my first play through, she won me over instantly, I didn't even bother to meet the other girls. But there was a tiny plot hole in the story that I won't mention because it only effected the route I choose, and it may of not of been wrapped up because of the choices I made that distanced myself from everyone but the single girl. This, I believe, is based off the original content the show is from - or is the original content, not sure, but I already like it better then the anime itself - which was already pretty damn good. It's set in that Medieval/Feudalistic time period is really able to successfully capture the 'feeling' of that world. Lush forested environments leading to cottages in the woods complimented with a vaguely Irish/Celtic score and punctuated with good ol' fashion knights in full suits of armor. I liked that it explored the 'draft' of that time period as poor farmer types are handed a spear and thrust into battle as well, really exposed the human element of these large scale battles. Maria definitely stole the show though, a seriously like-able main character. From the way she initially tried to make herself out to be the stereotypical notion of an old withered and wise witch to the way she ended up reacting to having her hand kissed was just the cutest thing. The banter between Artemis and Maria never failed to put a smile on my face either. At this point this is my favorite first episode of the newly airing shows of the season. LESBIAN BEAR STORM - 02 I have no idea what direction this show is going to go in but I'm still completely enchanted by everything this show is doing from a style department and this episode lays down some pretty interesting plot twists from the outset. Parasyte - 14 Yessss. This is the Parasyte I know and love, amazing how much better the show is when it ignores the female love interests. ** your contrived romance subplots, show me how the Parasytes are further melding into human society. This one was definitely another hit. Yatterman is one of Tatsunoko's super old franchises and to see it re-imagined like this was pretty damn sweet. They've been pretty keen on taking their old stuff and revamping it for a new audience for a while now. Before it was Gatchaman Crowds and before Gatchaman there was the super depressing Casshern Sins. I'm expecting big things from this one.

I don't care what you say about the plot; nothing will keep me from military moe girls. Seems like they are going the same route as Strike Witches. The enemy came from the sea and are called Abysmals. Big bad enemy needs to be defeated and thus, girls (who are ships) equip outfits to do battle against them. Pretty simple. Some interesting things though: some of the events actually point to actual historical events. I don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but many well versed "experts" (read: keyboard warriors?) have a bunch of knowledge about the game as well as the actual historical happenings of the Real Life versions of the ships. Mars wants Earth for its natural resources despite the fact that they're capable of inter-planetary travel and could just as easily bombard Mars with water rich asteroids and aldnoah magical bullshit to terraform it as well. Oooooh well. Junketsu no Maria / Maria the Virgin Witch continues to genuinely entertain and I'm looking forward to watching some Yuri Kuma Arashi later today.
