Very, very good. I like the details, I never knew the 'flickering stars' was a bug.
750,000 WP cap, is a godsend. Question, Wil we get to see our life time stats, or do we just get the bonus ranks?

Love it.
The best part is that loyalty rank! Will the honorary title be visible to other players or will we be able to see only our title? I hope it is the first one.
An Active Cloak now also reduces the player's Passive Scan Radius by 85% in addition to Signature Profile. Does it reduce the scan radius BY 85% or to TO 85%? If I have 100m my scan radius will be 25 or 85?
* Implemented some Rendering Optimizations to increase overall framerate. OMG YES PLZ!!!

What the hell? Booster stacking and 750k active SP cap? So when i stack 3 regular active boosters i could achieve ~2,5 million SP per week? Bloody hell if you add passive SP thats a proto suit per week. And now we finally get SP respecs for AUR though i kinda find it dirty to make it AUR only. Put a 50 mil ISK pricetag on it and other people might would use that feature too. And if we are at it how much AUR will a respec cost? Oh and that active scanners are beeing shared with the whole team means death to all scouts when there is only a single decent galente logi around. Oh and how convienient to release it on November the 4th. Oh i wonder what game could posibly be released there....cough "cod" cough...
TL;DR -new SP cap 750k SP PER WEEK (allmost 4 times as much as we got) -3 booster stacked= ~2.5 million SP cap -Scouts are dead ( your scans get screwed when cloaked and weapon swap delay) -AUR SP REFUND -FANCY MAPS -Sell your useless assets under value -You will see vehicles from miles away -WP for dropship spawns -You need to "call for help" before you can be revived

I mostly love the changes. I do worry about the paid respec thing though. The drawback for this is way too small. You should loose some percent of your total SP pool (like 10-20%) and not get any reimbursement for skill books, so high SP players will have serious penalties for chasing the FotM. And there will always be a FotM in a game like DUST.
Also, between the triple stacked boosters and huge weekly cap pools, I have fears of players running out of things to sink SP into. The whole SP system is designed around the premise that you can never have everything and have to make choices. Once that goes away I fear a lot of the incentive to play will fade as well.
I also hope you guys made some changes to the back-end that would allow for more things to be changed via hotfix (like adding game modes).
Overall, nice work.

The sniper rifle bullet trail will hang in the air for a longer amount of time, before fading away. So that you can gauge the direction the bullet was fired from. So that you can track down that sniper that just headshotted you.

I like the new scan range for vehicle's. Been bugging me for some time now. The scanner is supposed to work in db, but I still hear the tank before my scanner. And I even run a scout with extenders. So good move CCP.
As fore the new cap, booster stacking and skill reset...MOOAHAHAHA -Where was that credit card again, the shiny one?
Just give us back the rail turret range, not that I miss it. It just plain provocation to have a massive rail gun have a puny range of 250 METERS. 250 kilometer would be more like it, but I gues it would have no place on oure battlefield.
Still don't like the active scanners, never have. But the why is for a day with a desent keyboard.

So pleased this is out for all of you to read now.
The loyality scheme is something that myself and the rest of the CPM loved when Rattati told us. It gives vets a reward for their lotality and a target for new players to aim for.
It's also important to remember that this and the backend work that went into it is new code, not a modification of what was already there. This can now allow for further iteration in possible future patches.
So please, tell anyone you know that's played the game in the past to return and find out what lotality tank they have, to try the new maps and the fixes to the old ones. Check out the sell to vendor, reduce your asset pile but remember to keep those officer weapons for the time being.
The posilbity of moving BPO between your characters in the near future also brings us closer to the gaming as a service that we've heard about, so continue to push for this in your forum posts.
I'm often accused of being the cheerleader on the CPM but in this case I believe I'm justified in doing so. This is a progressive patch for the game and a solid foundation for more work to come from the Dust Dev team.
And as someone asked earlier about it, the CPM are pushing hard for your lotality rank to make an appearance on your forum avatar.

Very impressed. Was only expecting the caldari production facility but we get like 3 new maps, new sockets, new environments. Great work. I could go on for ages about how great it is but I do have some questions which I'm sure other Epsom,e have thinking of as well. Will the new maps be introduced in PC straight away? I'd recommend not as they have some bugs with them which can be found in public matches first so they can then be ironed out before they are put into PC I noticed you are adding a customisation tab to the market. Can you elaborate? Is it going to be we're all the BPO's are or something different. How many loyalty ranks are there? Glad there's the respec option. I know what I'll be buying lol but do you buy the respec for each individual tab (Dropsuit command, Dropsuit upgrade etc) or do you get everything refunded? And finally, is the balance hotfix hitting this downtime? |

I think they are correctly gauging the average attention span of a given FPS gamer and the rabid hatred for grindy sh*t that is growing like a garden of kudzu in the gamer community.
DUST is in no danger of running out of skills, especially if they intendd to introduce new stuff into the mix.

The presence of the higher SP cap is a direct result of continued community feedback from vets and new bros alike who asked that capping out every week no be so painful a missed opportunity, thus allowing players to have other plans outside of the game and not fall behind in a damaging way. The new cap combined with the ability - if desired - to triple stack boosters allows individuals to scale their SP gain rates to their own time and involvement levels without being hobbled by having IRL plans that don't involved Dust.

If someone no-lifed for 2 years with triple stacked boosters, they could probably do it though.

So, in essence add more boosters to gain higher bonuses to passive and/or active SP earning rates.

I doubt new maps will hit PC right away, eval in general use is likely to happen before they'd be considered for PC use. I have no elaboration for the custom tab, but it'll sure be fun to find out I believe there are 16 ranks, but I could be mistaken (I also think they are likely to scale much as FW ranks do, so the latter ones will be harder to earn). Respec is a full SP refund not a per tab basis if I understand correctly.
Again, not a Dev so grain of salt to the above until you hear from one of them

Loyalty rank thing could be interesting.
Quadrupling active SP is crazy. FotM chasers, FotM chasers everywhere. But sure, why not.
Stacking SP boosters is good as well. This way I can log in one weekend and use them all up in one go and not feel guilty for not playing when I'm sitting on 10 omegas.
This is really going to infuriate players who maybe started playing a few months ago and spent a lot of money on boosters recently.

Aw hell no. I know we have no alternative but I know a sh1tty deal when I see it. I'm not selling anything and I discourage others from doing it either. They'll realise how stupid 20% is and raise it eventually, don't waste your ISK. I would've considered 60% to be unreasonable. Cmon.

So.... I stopped buying boosters a few months ago cause I maxed out my skill tree. Just feel kinda sad supporting this game from the very start because you guys have more or less made skillpoints worthless now.
You should of had roll over sp instead, what's the point of saving and planning now? No new skills to spend them.

Also, you maxed out your skill tree? I'm at nearly 70mill and I still have things I want to skill into, what's your lifetime total, pushing 200?
If you really are maxed with everything you want however changes to the SP system don't impact you that significantly do they, after all you have what you want, now you just might have more contemporaries with regards to possible fits on the field. Isn't a rigorous fight more fun than a stomp?

The "category" in question is I believe a reference to where they will be available in the market, not how they will function.

It was really important they plan ahead and not make poor choices early on. Unfortunately you always have those people who have to have the FOTM equipment and do nothing but whine in the formus about respecs.

You see, that's what I mean. I always advocated for new players to maybe get a free respec after completing the academy with maybe 5 million Lifetime SP as a "last chance" kind of thing while also putting a lot of emphasis on CCP to implement Eve Online's ISIS (Interbus Ship Identification System) into Dust for better clarity so as to avoid this kind of thing. A new player has legit reason to need a respec. A veteran however doesn't.

And I wonder how the vehicle detection out to 80m will work out. Will it apply to vehicles as well or will only infantry get the change? I feel like it will be a double edged sword for me if it applies to vehicles as well. I wont get ambushed by other HAVs but that also mean I won't be able to ambush other HAVs, since I usually ambush/engage and destroy HAVs with missiles at ranges much closer than 80m.

It's at the bottom of the "Bug fixes and polish" section near the end of the Dev Blog. I would guess that any new specialized variants will be the Squad only versions.
I can only hope that all the scanners that are set to team have rather high Db levels or we'll see entire teams lit up for the whole match by logis that alternate between multiple scanners. |

I consider this another Artfully Crafted Rattati balance change. 'Worried about the impact to game balance from unlimited on demand respecs? Give them all the SP opportunity they can handle - thereby modestly devaluing RESPECs and allowing ccp to sell them as microtransactions'. A very nuanced yet aggressive approach to growing the bottom line.
I haven't felt this hopeful in about a year or more for Dust.
Is there a place in New Eden for a FTP PS3 FPS in addition to a more complex PC version (Legion). Could Dust persist?

More thought given. Here is a little feedback:
1) Please make the respecs crazy expensive. If tecnically possible, it maybe give no skillbook buyback for people over 10-20 million SP, or perhaps a penalty, like you lose 5% of your refunded SP for every 10 million SP (starting at 20), maximum 20%? That way new players can fix their past mistakes but the veteran FoTM chasers really need to think about how worthwhile it is to do so.
2) The buy back price from the market does seem a little low. I wasn't expecting anything near full price, but maybe 50% once you are at max rank?
3) I like the persistent bullet trails for sniper rifles... now how about some @#$%$# bullet trails for the rail rifle?!
And finally, fleshing out the LP store is great, and this patch is definitely more than I expected, but pretty please new Amarr and Minmatar vehicles by the start of 2015? I weep for True Adamance as he has piles of LP but nothing to spend it on!

Because this is great if it is. It means that the Cloak can act as powerful active dampening without the use of damp modules. When combined with the lack of an ability to fire from cloak, I can seriously dig this.

1x Booster gives you 2x Passive.
2x Booster gives you 3x Passive.
3x Booster should give you 4x Passive. (Which is around 96k SP per day by the way)
Since you already gain 100% Passive, another 100% should be 2x, then 3x and so on.

Yes, but that's for AUR items as I read it, not standard market-bought items or salvage (i.e., the massive hoard of MLT crap I've amassed playing almost exclusively FW for months). I'd like to see it at 50%, with a bump to 65% for AUR items.

The intent is for the team, but 360 degree scans are no longer really possible, nor viable. Active Scanners were almost erased from the game in 1.8 and we think there is a place for them, just need to tune them properly. I also foresee some EWAR buffs to Mediums in the future.

You can boost the SP directly, per match, instead of having to equip an active booster (or both)

Sorry for the lack of clarity, it just means that this effect comes on top of the normal signature profile reduction an active cloak has.
And yes, no more unwanted revives.

...oh did I mention the menu for changing your equipment while in battle? Rail range is hard capped at 300, not 250. That's for the small rail, but there's damage falloff with range.

This is correct. The original suggestion was more drastic, as in 100%, but this is far. You can still hack and be aware of your immediate surroundings, or come from the shadows at a known target, but you will not know everything about everyone before launching and during an attack.

Stacking SP boosters is good as well. This way I can log in one weekend and use them all up in one go and not feel guilty for not playing when I'm sitting on 10 omegas.

Though all you run are glass cannons, which means you're bad, and always have someone looking at the map. Let DELB0Y know that hiding in the redline to take on one tank at a time is kinda bad.
Though I DID destroy all 3 of your tanks at YOUR redline yesterday with the great help of Taka.

Makes me feel as though CCP just said "**** it" because either Dust is on limited time (compared to before) or because lots of SP won't transfer to legion. Or both.

I had 10 million SP that I had saved up through MCC and summer vacation. I spent it on 3 core skills and 2 optimizations in 3 minutes. My HMG and Heavy tree is nowhere near filled, and I still have holes in my GA Assault and GA Assault Rifle. Those level 5 optimizations skills really are a pain to finish when there are 5 sidearms to choose from...and that Min Assault that everyone is raving about....

The needle is still buggy as all get out. Last night I could barely revive 1/2 the people I tried to, like I had to "aim" it or something. Even worse than the usual slow animation or needing to hit it 2-3 times to register. Any fixes to that behavior along with this or in the works? (I also am pretty sure I have never seen the WP for a revive show up on the screen, at least not in the last several months)
I'll push my luck and ask something unrelated: Any chance we can get a STD level Assault scrambler? Even if only in the LP store?

So if I triple stack omega passives and actives with a 750k cap, that's a pretty insane pace for CCP to keep ahead of with ISK sinks.
There's a subtext that something radical has changed behind the scenes regarding SP progression in DUST and possibly Legion. I really hope you guys let the player base know what that is as soon as possible, because it does produce anxiety about the future.

Injector issues are not solved in 1.9. But I revive a lot and I have never run into them, and I always get my WP. Hope that helps

Defense is already not enough as it is against PRO swarms, having small turrets already added makes it that much more difficult.

Are you equipping it to use it?
I generally don't because f*cking EQ wheel deaths from throwing nanohives at reds instead of shooting them make me rage.
Usually I equip the rep tool and then hit O for the revive so I can immediately start repping. Far more efficient that way.
I did try that though, didn't seem to make a difference... predictably I got killed the second time I tried it when a damped gal scout popped out of nowhere and my needle was curiously less effective than his ACR 1v1. That was the end of that experiment.

The subtext is truly not there. We just want to free players from the shackles of hitting the cap, and especially not playing on the weekends because the cap has been hit. Freedom to play when you like, look pink if you want, nolife a week with boosters because you really want a skill to fit that last proto module, save up ISK, fight for a Faction, take and own land, fight in PC, try all the things that no other FPS has, basically enjoy yourself is the subtext.

Well, there's a bunch of vehicle stuff that was removed, that we haven't heard anything on in around a year. Specialized and racial tank hulls and turrets, logi LAVs and dropships, scout LAVs, different vehicle mods, pilot suits, etc.
I ask this specifically 'cuz I'm a pilot, and well, options are nice to have.

And I completely agree. I had ~15 million unallocated SP last time I logged on, and I was hesitating about what to spend it on. SP gets drained by the current skill tree. But the skill multipliers could also have been adjusted to produce the same effect as raising the SP cap though right?
So you've made a pragmatic decision to just open the floodgates and mitigate the 'grind'. How does that affect long term thinking about progression?

I'm reasonably sure I actually get the WP, it's just odd that that's the only time WP never shows up.
Also: You must have your PS3 directly connected to TQ with an ethernet cable because otherwise I simply refuse to believe you have never come across:
- needles shooting blanks - the painfully slow revive animation (admittedly that has improved quite a bit) - needle icons hovering over empty ground with no body for 30 seconds or more - having to hit O 3-4 times when the "hit O to revive" is clearly on-screen the entire time
At least one of those things happens to me every 10 revives or so. Last night it was much more than that.

We just wanted a simple system, that was transparent and as fair as possible. Thanks for your reply. My big concern is that with you guys throwing around SP like candy on Halloween, that it implies some major changes about the future of DUST and Legion that we haven't been told. It produces anxiety when a system based on never being able to have everything becomes possible to get all 5s in a couple of years. I really don't see how you can keep pace with adding additional SP sinks at the rate that players can acquire SP. So if I triple stack omega passives and actives with a 750k cap, that's a pretty insane pace for CCP to keep ahead of with ISK sinks. There's a subtext that something radical has changed behind the scenes regarding SP progression in DUST and possibly Legion. I really hope you guys let the player base know what that is as soon as possible, because it does produce anxiety about the future. The subtext is truly not there. We just want to free players from the shackles of hitting the cap, and especially not playing on the weekends because the cap has been hit. Freedom to play when you like, look pink if you want, nolife a week with boosters because you really want a skill to fit that last proto module, save up ISK, fight for a Faction, take and own land, fight in PC, try all the things that no other FPS has, basically enjoy yourself is the subtext. Wait, so is the SP gain going to remain the same per match? It's not going to be increased 3x like with events?

Try your best, earn those WP and win those battles, all the while raising your Loyalty Rank, and gaining more SP and ISK. This game is about winning and killing, let's never forget that.

I am 100% behind revives only working if the person requested it, but ONLY if the revive icon only displays if the person is requesting a revive. The 85% reduction to scans while cloaked I think is a little bit to much. for run and gun scouts it is now going to be pointless to run precision enhancers and range amplifiers so I am afraid every shotgun scout is now going for stacking shield extenders.
with max skills the cloak will bring a scouts radius down to 4,5 meters (6,75 for caldari) witch is making scouts utterly blind. Ewar is going to be less used, health more used and therefore harder to kill scouts head on. I dont want to sound like a d*ck proposing numbers but I would still use my precision if it was minus 40% or 50%.
I know I sound like a f*ggot defending scouts but I am trying to explain exactly what will happen.
P.S Im making a gal shotgun scout suit right now with shield extenders.

750k SP cap: Are you ABSOLUTELY sure?
Once it is done and been live you cannot undo the effects as the huge SP mass is out there. Also even when changed quickly, there would be ground shaking player opposition if something already granted would be reduced back to current.
Why would it be bad?
1) First I remind about what CCP already found out: game must not be too grindy. Remember SP events before current nice system was used? The players and even devs found the events grindy. 700k+ cap was hardcore even for a single week event. Imagine 52 week grind. There's "the SP race" to stay competitive.
2) 750k unboosted per week, can CCP really bring enough content to sink in all that SP? And if yes, how bad it would react to new players? If good stuff would be hidden behind a wall of, say, 10M SP - how on earth could junior players match that? For the first time there would be a case that while most skill trees are balanced with new players progression in mind, the new SP sink trees would create areas of expertise that could not be reached by juniors in reasonable time.
BTW 750k with triple omega (no matter whether the end multiplier is 4x or 8x) is gonna be MILLIONS of sp per week.
3) Having players with everything opened up kills the feel of progression, kills the drive to reach and open something new. This could very well drive people away from being active players.
4) On AFK farming : Saying "now AFKing will be even dumber" is actually opposite from truth. - Currently, many people will not afk farm as they can actively cap out during a week. After proposed plan, they can now supplement their active games by afk farming. - Currently, many people cap in 2-3 days (with or without farming). They have no point in farming afterwards. After proposed plan, they can get extra benefits the whole week by afk farming.
If capped there's no afk farming. If cap is not reached afk farming is sensible. This is a solid fact.
Bonus personal example: Currently, I cap my chars in about 60 games or 20h of afk farming. After reaching the cap I begin to actively play that char to reap the extra games of 1500 or 2000 SP. After proposed plan, I assume that after farming 250 games for each character the week is almost over leaving only few active games.
5) Having extreme range of SP laying around makes char and SP transfer to (theoretical) Legion so much more difficult for devs. Currently the range is managable 0 to 80 M SP. The range of zero to 600M sounds so much more harder.
6) If argument 'only few people max out that hard' is used it's countered by 'then keeping barriers limits only those few people while reaping the advantages of prevenbting the damages'
TLDR: In having 750k cap, with triple stacked boosters multiplier and extra after game multiplier boost, there will be kazillion SP each week. Given out SP cannot be undone. Huge cap promotes afk farming. Huge cap is grindy. Either SP race has meaning and is essential to have that new SP - or - there's no meaning to have new SP for veterans.
Apologies for strict text but a big threat demands stern warnings.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

To the contrary, when I first read this in the Dev blog I was like "yes, you mothafuqqers are so gonna get a shotty blast to the back of your head now" but the more I consider this, and with all the other changes to snipers/SRs lately, this may be too much (ya, snipers are prolly like we passed "enough" a while back)...
If I get killed by a sniper once I let it go... second death, or even annoyingly pinged too frequently, and I make a point of forgoing WPs and begin hunting wabbits- huh-huh-huh-huh-huh-huh... You just need to know the map and where that sniper is most likely to be, use the hit flare to give you a general idea where... Most snipers camp and never relocate or are lazy and only move 20 meters... The bullet trail shouldn't persist for too long...
Be just and if you can't be just be arbitrary.

Couple things: Are the native reps reactivation part of an upcoming "balancing hotfix" ? I see no mention of them here.
Will (or rather, could) skillbook costs be varied, based on total respecs performed so as to mitigate/discourage respec abuse? The first respec you do, all the skillbooks you need to repurchase are priced as they were originally, but by the 4th or 5th time the cost has compounded (say by 5 or 8x) so as to keep the core value of Decisions Have Consequences in effect? Neewbs get off easy at first but chronic fotm respeccers will eventually hit a profit/loss wall, understand what I'm proposing? This qould , of course, work evenly in conjunction with the Loyalty Bonus proposal so that the final amounts of ISK paid per match/by market agents could also help as respec abuse deterrent.
What other equipment is currently under the microscope for use delays?

Well I take back all the bad things I said about CCP over the years (even though you all did deserve them at the time). Now that scouts have a small counter (though they still need to be monitored for future nerfs) the game seems to be moving in the right direction. The slight delay from cloak to firing, combined with alot of real content being added has me redownloading this game with real excitement.
The cloak combined with all the ewar threw off the rock paper scissor meta. This lead to scouts to play as individual killers with zero drawbacks to play out their COD fantasy of Dust 514. Add to that my personal color blindness and not seeing a cloak until 3-5 meters away left me no choice but to stop playing.
Ive always continued to monitor progress and can't wait to play yet again.

I would like to make a requst to up the amount of drop suit builds that u can have at 1 time. The limit is 30 right now. I have 4 proto suits and I have to delete 1 to try a new fit and I use every suit I have fitted almost every day. If we could get that pushed to 50 fits top it would help a lot of high sp ppl out because right now I dont want to get another suit because I cant even build all the fits I want to use with the suits I have.

Well done, Dust team. There are several features in 1.9 that many of us gave up asking for more than a year ago. This is the zombie revival of DUST 514. Perhaps you will find a way to necro hope itself.
Battlegrounds, sockets & moods: I love it when you peeps exploit the f*** out of the combinatorics =)
Loyalty Ranks: I love it when you peeps exploit the f*** out of our single shard. And our epeens ;)
Sell to market: Neutral. Won't be interesting until players can interact with players.
BPO transfer between characters: Didn't see that coming but love what it does for new peeps.
Quick buttons in Merc Quarters: Good for new peeps, for vets menu is now muscle memory
SP/WP buff: Great to see a shift towards merit-based gaming. But the underlying geometry of the game design is still off and peeps may be AFKing more with the higher sp cap.
SP Cap: Good to keep peeps playing later into the week, but what will happen with all these sp when we migrate to Legion? Logarithmic derating?
Booster threesomes: Who could resist? Just please don't make the AUR-flogging cheesy. Dust/New Eden deserve better.
SP R&R: Since we're not really part of New Eden anymore, i suppose it doesn't matter. But if we were....grrrrr One other thing: by the time a 30 million sp vet has respecced once, they know enough to never need to again. Think about it.
Rendering optimizations: Sounds beautiful. Say it again. Frame rate changes the kinesthetic feel, and lordy lordy that feels good... P.S. And i suppose it's ok if you help the DS pilots
Sprint bug: I feel like one of the old wounds has healed.
Tanks/Tacnet: Had given up all hope...I'm not ashamed of these tears.

Concerns:
Sniper round trails: So Hand-holdy, makes me think that CCP sees us Dust Mercs as idiot children. S*** like this is exactly why i was never interested in playing those other big-name fpses. I hope the effect is very mild, and very hard to see on a dusk map.
Active Scanner: Has been heavily incentivised. Will definitely increase the wall-hackiness of DUST. Is that what we really want? P.S. As a solo non-tanky minsault the scanner has never stopped beeing standard kit for me. This change incentivises me to fit a higher-tier scanner. We're going to have entire teams walhacking each other.
Request: Can we get the name of the maps on the deployment screen? Would do a lot to encourage map awareness and player conversations. Hopefully very easy to do.
Good job peeps. Keep it up and i may spend money on your game again. Like in the old days, when hope was alive and we dreamed of what could be.

If some people (including yourself?) struggle to cap the current weekly active SP, how are we going to hit 750K, if the above is true. Increasing the cap by this much would be detrimental to the longevity of the game. agreed but maybe to help new players ccp could allow them a bigger start after they finished the starter bit with an extra 500k sp (1 million total) or an active 30 day booster or even 3 months of the cap being 750,000. however to be fair anyone under a year would get a 2 months of 500,000 sp cap and vets (year or more) would get 1 month of 350,000 sp and the weekly cap could be 250,000 -300,000 sp. reason being is the loyalty ranks so vets would get a nice little boost. |

I think better Idea is give each FW race 70k SP cap per week and if u want extra 280k SP - U MUST PLAY FW EACH RACE And make so, that only SP from WP goes to count (say hello to my little AFK farmers< including me)
Weekly Cap will be around ~490k (without booster) and we will get workable FW = PROFIT
P.S:SP Cap will be betweet 185 and 490k, because not everyone will grind each race. |

We probably won't be seeing any more MCC events since now a million SP will be no problem to get. But it would be nice to still get some new ideas flowing on what non-SP events we should do. Since Loyalty Ranking and NPC buy back will definitely be a big thing in 1.9, perhaps future events can work around that. Events should also start taking advantage of FW now that FW will be more affordable in 1.9 thanks to the NPC buy back.

I have no issues with this at all. The SP cap is a bit worrisome, since it's coupled with the booster stacking. Of course, with only 32mil myself on 3 characters, I can't complain too much...
Can we get any info on Hotfix Echo btw? Logi's still need some love. Then there's the topic of bringing back Marauders, Black Ops, Enforcers, Logistics, Scout LAV, and their modules.

Good job CCP, I look forward to the forth. Just one concern, for the dropsuit command skill instead of only unlocking dropsuits how about also giving a 1% increase to pg and cpu each level so there's at least some incentive to leveling up the skill (less is better then none).

The only thing ive noticed with the needle is when the body gets moved or falls , the circle button revive doesnt work, but pulling it out and spamming R1 does work

I read it in its entirety but I did not find any reference to weapon firing glitches nor fixing them. Specifically turrets of all types have many bugs effecting them but nothing was mentioned about fixing them in 1.9 or at all. I recall infantry weapons not working as well although I don't know if there is an underlying issue are they weapon specific problems.
Are they not recognized as a problem or as bugs?
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

I have to say I am kind of shocked by the now offered SP respec option in the market for AUR. It goes contrary to the New Eden concept that choices matter, in this case I really do hope that the extra cash inflow to CCP will help this game improve to the point where it would be possible to continue the franchise on the PS4 as well as the computer with Legion rather than just the PC.
How long til this hits PC?

Are there any plans to fix the satellite launching socket, or the pyramid socket? Both have map/mesh issues for HAVs.
This is from a long standing bug that has been reported many times by many Mercs. If you drive a HAV inside those structures and press the D-Pad on your game controller the tank will fall through the bottom of the mesh. If you have trouble duplicating it in the pyramid try parking the HAV against the wall of the ramp. Just touching the building with the corner of the HAV did me in.
The failure provides a few different deaths. The first is the tank will explode immediately, the second is the tank and driver will fall through the map and drift slowly across the map (assuming you pressed down on the D-Pad) until they die and the last is the same except the driver and the tank go their separate ways ... then they both die separately.
I'm pretty sure they have been logged in the appropriate map feed back forums.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

I have a very important question regarding the ranking system.

It says at the top 20,103 points to next rank. My question is what points is it referring to? How will the points be calculated? I'm assuming these are completely different from that of WPs since I already have over 1.1 million WPs in my main's lifetime according to my stats.

Sneaky actions are not being penalized. You're just being encouraged to sneak better next time. Meanwhile as I'm running with ZN-28 nova knives without a cloak...

No cover and my underpants in my hand mean needing a cloak for being sneaky, I'm not saying the heavy saw me just that already you cannot fire if decloaking but you can be seen while cloaked, you can be shot while cloaked, why not even it out rather than make the breach between ability wider.
All in all a good patch, I am pleased to see the NPC market coming into being, although I am frustrated that it isn't a market order system being implemented but rather just selling it to NPCs making a bit of an isk sink rather than a profit opportunity.
How long til this hits PC?

Well the new change to the cloak only means you will now have to decloak from a sufficient distance from your target so that by the time you get to your target the decloak delay will be a non issue. The added benefit of decloaking from a distance is that your target won't be able to hear your decloak noise which will increase the chances of a successful pounce especially if you come from behind or force them into a vulnerable position.

And simpletons would have a easy time to just assume its additive. Would be good to make this clear before topics of rage influeled peoeple are flooding the forum. And for omega boosters it looks like this:
750k*2*2*2= 6000k SP (6 million SP)
750k*(2*3)= 4500k SP (4,5 million SP)
The addative bonus would favour regular boosters (50% SP gain) while the multiplicative bonus would be more benefical for omega boosters (100% bonus). So rattati which one shall it be?

Dear community and Rattati, my 25 cents about 750k cap:
1. Until today, the game saves tactical shooter similarity - maps contain locations intended for specific profile weapons.
2. Unfortunately, as a result of abuse (heavy spam, uplink spam, etc) are such places were few.
3. There was restraining factor, not allowing most players select wrongful approach any location - a large amount of time required to start using the equipment.
4. Now that this restriction will be removed, each player can use anything to achieve the objective by bypass common sense.
I believe that the increase in the skill players should not overtake the proper development of game maps.

Sneak with cloak on, walk to a corner out of sight of redberry (or rather hearing distance) THEN walk behind him and do the kills stuff.
Don't alert him with the uncloaking sound.
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

I have almost 70 million sp, i have 7 proto suits and every gun but id rather have more skills totally filled instead of partially, that and i like skilling its a fun feeling. I'm a tank pilot. I have over 14.2mil SP into large and small turrets alone. No, not all vets have everything they want.
I may be missing something, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't call for a tank nerf before Uprising 1.7. - Atiim

You DO know that boosters do nothing to how fast you reach your cap, don't you?
You get play the same amount of games, you earn the same base cap - PLUS boosters give that extra as a bonus.

People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

To accommodate these changes, and also responding to player requests, we will also be raising the Weekly Skill Cap to 750,000 Skill Points.
this is how it reads now

I find the game unplayable since the update, my aim is completely off due to what I can only describe as input lag which I remember the feeling of quite clearly from the my days playing battlefield 3 on the ps3. I can only hope that CCP takes note of this and fixes whatever bug is causing this for me otherwise I will no longer be able to enjoy playing Dust. I wish 1.9 had never happened because of this. |

1.9 looks well i like it! but for exchange new stuff i rather get old stuff works properly and then get new toys. its like smoke new blant to go blind and do not see all **** around :) op fit example? militia scout with: militia cloak, militia shotgun, militia ion pistol, militia remote ex. fit cost nothing!!!!! and is more efficient then all other proto fits full of officer guns and proto modules that cost fortune! something is wrong! proto shotgun ok but militia? |
