Unfortunate for the delays but it may be better to wait then half bake new things only to have people yell at you for releasing something poor. I approve of this delay. I'm not a vehicle guy until they start talking about jets or fighters
All this means for me is I have more time to build SP for other things and some cores before the weapons show up and when it does, I plan on having enough SP to skill into it straight away. As a bonus they will be releasing the stats on the new weapons as well as change to gun play which even more solidify that I won't be making a huge gamble and at least have an idea of the weapon. I ask not just for stats but a short video of it in action. I will be prepared to give feedback and give my support as a gamer nonetheless

I have to ask though - how could the rumoured (if those were actually the weapons introduced) weapons really be that hard to deliver?
They are variants of the AR and an SMG or pistol.
We had the TAR and Flaylock and we have the AR that many (including myself) want to see balanced.
Vehicle balance I could see being more tricky but then again maybe I'm just ignorant in that area as I never drive vehicles and seldom use my Swarms. |

They are running one month from Dev release to QA followed by a month of QA before patch release. Considering todays date it means that QA and Devs were unable to resolve some issues regarding the major focus for 1.5.
From a software development viewpoint the entire thing (mostly) just slipped. Sometimes it happens and with a small team pushing aggressive updates (and once a month is aggressive, just so you know) it is bound to happen. Tough that it happened on this particular one.
It would better to have it right than to have the forum servers sink under the Gazillion QQ Kitten/Second load of all those tears. |

I'll give you my feedback, but still I hope I'm wrong:
Squad Finder. It's pretty useless since people like to play solo, and it's their own choise to do it.
Corp roles. It may be useful, but if there's nobody plaing the game, it is enough one CEO and a couple directors. Don't really see any urgency in that.
New WP rewards. Absolutely yes. I just jope it is not bugged/easily exploitable like Codex (remember? OBs used to fall down like rain because armour rep was bugged)
I just, you know, expected much more, seen the improvements made with 1.4 . |

How about instead of pushing MORE stuff back CCP, you just keep working on what's supposed to be in 1.5 until you fill it's ready. Honestly we've been waiting all this time I think we can wait a little longer for something new. You say you don't want to put out anything half don, but isn't what your doing half doing something. Your at least delegating it for another day, I get that but you said you were going to do so don't go back on your word.
All I'm saying is wait. Make 1.5 and put everything you wanted to put in. I think we can wait a couple more weeks.
Also for a future update, add a "get in" "get out" button to the command wheel. It would help us pilots out a bit more. |

Plasma Cannon Breach Variant:
- 75% higher damage than current PLC stats (to be more AV oriented)
- Splash damage is the same as Normal Variant
- Splash radius is 1.8
- Charge time is 1.4 s
The operation skill for the PC weapon is to be replaced with 8% Splash Radius increase per level. I say 8% because I tested the damage received on different distances from the point of impact and I only received the full damage around 2 meters or less. The current operation skill is about as useless as the old Splash Radius increase for Swarm Launcher (5% reduction per level to charge time of 0.6s isn't helpful). This weapon in its current condition is not worth using. all nice and such but there are some flaws in regards of your plasma cannon changes
1. increasing the charge time by such an amount means you are without defense for 3 seconds. there is a weapon switch lock after firing. your proposed normal variant would have to charge for 1s, then endure 2s weapon switch lock. a weapon for designed for urban combat which makes you defensless for such long amount of time? does not work out well, the weapon switch lock has to go. 2. the PLC still has bugs. - first bug happens regularly and mostly on uneven surfaces, like the old MD hit detection issue, the splash of the plasma cannon has the same problem currently - second bug happens when you shoot+sprint+switch to sidearm and then back to PLC to reload. the next PLC projectile you fire will charge instantly, consume ammo and deal no damage. |

Sorry for the off topic reply above, but it was important in ME universe.
I am a little worried. I have hardly any Corp mates to play with for either character. When I do find them the effort to get a full squad is a pain and is mostly not successful. Before 1.4 we were easily running multiple squads.
FYI CCP (all locations) the biggest reasons given are Aim Assist has made the game boring. Without it vets get slaughtered by New Berries and with it the game is dull because everybody has to run it now. Personally I have gotten more hip fire kills in the last two weeks than the rest of my last year plus in DUST. Some are like myself waiting to see what happens in 1.5 as vehicles are a big SP sink for some of us.
I know it is tough to fight GTA-5, and everybody has lost to them today, but when do we get news regarding DUST and some reset of expectations? Where and who should I be watching for or if I missed it where is the url?
That information along with the direction of Aim Assist will determine how much longer I am down in the DUST.

I guess I can see where people are coming from on the idea of pushing back the update itself, but recall that they have to code-lock these things, run them through QA, and set them up for deployment before they can come out.

The funny thing is that they have been working on these new weapons since fanfest. That was back in April. So that was 6 months ago. And the implied understanding then was that they had been in the design and building phase of these items for a month or so before that. So it has taken so far, with no perceivable tangible results for us, the player base, as to the reality of said additions for almost 7-8 months.
Hell Corp roles were something promised 4-5 months ago. I guess you guys Are working on a 'soon' principal of promise date (ETA) + 4-6 months. DO you even realize how abortive those kind of developmental choices are. Granted I know we are not talking about the development of a new biological species, but it is pretty damn close when you think about the virtual nature and context of this game and what it is being held to light against.
I often wonder what is really going on in the Shanghai office. Often times it seems like nothing that is ever revealed to us by the devs is ever going to happen.
PS4 in less than 2 months is all I have to say. Then, who is to say how many people will be left in the player base. |

This is fantastic news for my wallet. I have already given up driving a tank when you dropped 1.4, and now with no changes to vehicles in 1.5 my wallet can sigh. Course I have nearly given up the game completely to play FTL. I die less in that then in Dust, especially since if you don't own an AR you don't win a fire fight. I love when a militia AR takes me down when I'm pounding them with my advanced EXO Mass driver. It makes me feel so glad to waste my isk and time on this. I have taken to running my free fits for the cheap AR and I went from playing an average of 4-5 hours a night to logging in, and playing 1-2 matches before logging out. hell the other night there was literally no one in my corp for 45 minutes except me. GTAV apparently is better then dust. Oh well. Dying game is dying without good changes. |

The armor/shield balance most certainly did take player feedback, the iteration may not have been identical to any specific player suggestion but the expectation that it would be is a bit silly even just looking at the sheer number of suggestions made on the subject. There are quite a number of other things that have been added to the backlog/roadmap and while yes, that does mean they're not in the game yet it also means they're coming.
All in all CCP is better at following player feedback than at providing feedback to the players, and it's worth noting this thread is providing feedback to the players so it seems a bit less than constructive to make non-specific scathing remarks which clutter up the thread.

Basically a new heavy is like another heavy with a different skin and different values in its stats. Weapons are more complicated but the combat rifle was in a trailer 4 months ago. It seems like, that CCP refrain from add new content. I would like to have a new weapon even if it has the skin of pipe and the shoot animation of another weapon, it's not a problem. |

Are the previously mentioned new squad orders still coming in 1.5? That could contribute to the patch as being one of the most significant new 'feelings' of the new patch. Because most of the rest of the changes wont really involve too much gameplay it seems. |
