Hey Bro, you play D3 on console yet? You are so right when you say Radial wheel design is SO much harder to do on console.
You fight 3 types of battle there big guy..... You have been fighting those 3 styles for almost a year in some cases. 1) Team Death Match 2) Team Objective 3) Team King of the Hill

PC Battles are a joke. Literally a joke, who cares? Unlike Eve Dust does not have the leveling factor because of timer that limits any activity. This nulls the free attack model and turns it into a 24-hour cycle, its not a live system its a time based event.
Considering you need a good 2-3 Months of playtime to achieve any high level gear. Now consider that once you invest in something it can change and be rendered to a totally different style, with no recourse for players. Then begin to see that promises of what could be and what is are TOTALLY different.
Been playing games for 20 years junior and this one is gonna end up a bug splatter on windshield of gaming history if it doesn't get its act together.

Hey Logibro, thanks for the heads up. I would rather CCP keep vehicle improvements in the cooker so that when it finally does happen, players that have focus-skilled into vehicles will enjoy it more.
The other improvements sound good as well. I am an EVE player so I know the improvements that CCP made on that game just from Incarna was leaps and bounds. It will take a while to get this game where it needs to be, but when it is there, it will be one (if not the) best shooter on the market.

I couldn't care less about new vehicles/weapons, I would rather just get this crap balanced out. Honestly, just give vehicles the 25% pg upgrade you stole from them and see how that works out; all my SP is in tanks and I can tell you that simple fix would really alleviate the balance problem, with maxed vehicle fitting skills you can't even have a proto turret with heavy extender/plates and heavy booster/repper. Another option would simply be leave tanks the way they are and reduce the cost substantially, I really don't care if I lose a tank to some invisible forge gunner or swarm and have absolutely no way to defend against it if my tank didn't cost so much. The whole idea behind this game and Eve is that pvp has actual consequences, and when an HAV can cost the equivalent of 4-5 dropsuits within a system like that it implies that the HAV is more of an investment. But right now tanks are much weaker (for many reasons, I just don't feel like writing an essay) in the field than previous versions of the game so it seems like they shouldn't cost as much. Now before I end let me be clear, I am all for a detailed re-balance of vehicles to fit them into the battlefields of New Eden, my main frustration right now is that there is nothing being done when there are so many simple solutions to at least alleviate the problem. |

We have been promised so many things that haven't even been out in the game yet. Plus the already rough mechanics (sometimes) and occasional server problems. I understand that this is CCP's first FPS, but I still don't understand why there is still so much missing from the game, especially after we have been told that it will be included in the game.
I love DUST, and I will continue playing it, but it is getting a little boring to play with the same weapons and the same dropsuits. The new maps were a huge step in the right direction, but I feel like new dropsuits, weapons, vehicles, and game types are necessary for the survival of this game. |

I sometimes get offered to submit feedback when they do something good, but if they screw me they don't send me a form. In the industry we call that "painting" the best picture for the Executives.

In a media sense this is also called framing and agendizing (i.e., agenda setting). Usually the audience would be people like us, but that may not always be the case. As you have so aptly pointed out, they too are going through a process of constructing and maintaining a specifically chosen identity for their bosses at the same time they (i.e., the devs) are attempting to construct and perform one (i.e., an identity) to the player base; us.
Looks like and sounds like a circle jerk that no one wants to admit to. |

Hey genius, can't balance a game without the total number of basic racial variants that the game SHOULD have HAD at release. The thing is EVE has four races that are equally participating in a struggle for survival against each other and numerous smaller entities (i.e., player corps, pirate gangs, etc.) and this extension of EVE is, for one reason or another in a RELEASED version, i.e., to be publicly consumed and comparatively critiqued and evaluated - judged and compared to such other gaming entities as BF, COD, MOH, PS2) is like an incomplete and aborted fetus. Of which you can't balance something that is incomplete, because as we have all be observing for the last 6 months of this (at least for me) 15 month ride of development, and incomplete product sold to the public for consumption is not going to survive. It feels like it has been through out there to generate some additional cash flow coming into the coffers of CCP, that there is really not the EVE support for this interaction, at least no to the level that I believe was portrayed to us under manipulated conditions of accrual and presentation of that supposed support.
But then again on that side the only time I have seen EVE interact on our part has been ONLY in PC, and that has been occasional, not substantive. In other words marginal at best and hasn't really improved naval and infantry relations. |

You couldnt be more wrong, the reason this game is as bad as it is was because of eve players, particularly those that gained early positions on the cpm and gave terrible feedback to ccp, think about it, you have eve nerds, and lets face it they are nerds, trying to dictate to ccp what players want, the problem is these no skilled eve nerds are going to want and care about diffrent things then a fps player, this has been a huge part of the problem, I'm not speaking just about vehicles, vehicles are to expensive and that's the solution, I kill tanks all the time by hopping in a lav with a buddy rushing the tank and jumping out with lai dais, problem is that tank wasnt supported...... |

No offence but i dont see them respecing anything at the moment. sure if they were to completely get of rid of something then they probably would respec all the SP that went into that part of the skill tree, but people skilled into what ever they did whether they where trying to take advantage of the fact it was OP at that time and now just QQing cause it got nerfed, or the fact that they truly wanted to skill into that. either way, knowing very well that anything can change at anytime cause they are still trying to balance everything out between the new content and the old content, just hang with it you never know you might want your tanks back if they were to respec your SP and you went into something else. |

They're adding, changing and removing both skills and modules. They may be changing the hulls.
Asking for a respec because the flavor of the month got nerfed, and asking for a respec because an entire style of play is being changed, are 2 different things. |

Lol I agree. Everyone needs to relax and let them do their job fixing the game. I would rather have something released BUG/GLITCH FREE and well tested than to have it released all busted up and broken/buggy.

When you guys get five minutes, can we get smoke grenades (different colours). If I have posted wrong section then I apologize, thought it would be a good idea. Oh and breachable walls with breaching charges (another explosives skill). Thanks again. Keep up the good work. |
