Well that sucks. No new weapons or vehicle balance. Instead we get tutorials which since there is no pve and therefore no enemies to set up a mock battle my money is on the tutorials being walls of text.
Squad finder, at a loss for this one does that mean you can just search for a squad of random people to join?
Corp roles, great until you realize there is very little for corps to do at the moment and the lack of interaction with eve doesn't help. I can't really see this as a way of retaining players a currently meaningless title added on your bio sounds super though.
More ways of earning WP is nice but its1 not really going to change the game too much.
This is why I think when you started working on 1.5 the community should have been consulted about balance and allowed to provide feedback if that had happened maybe vehicle rebalancing and new weapons would be coming this patch. |

Might as as well post the same thing in this thread too:
CCP use agile development (as opposed to waterfall) for a reason:
Waterfall: get everything you want, but not on time Agile: get it on time, but lose some items
The benefit of the agile approach is that you can push items that aren't ready yet into the next development cycle, without delaying delivery of what actually *is* ready. It's kinda win-win in that regard. |

Suppose I did. There's a lot that goes on around here, honestly, we're usually testing something or making some graphs to demonstrate different aspects of the game to one another in as true a sense as we can. Easy to forget some things when you're not only hoping for certain new content or features but also trying to find the minute things in the game that are buggy like Collision Detection when sprinting

I'm sure you're wondering why. At this stage, we didn't feel happy with how they were and instead of putting them out half way we decided to put some more time into working on them. So they're not scrapped, just delayed.

We (the community) really ought to wait until we see what's actually on the feature list for 1.5 before passing judgement. I will add, though, that providing at least one "Jesus feature" per release would go a long way to staving off the torch-and-pitchfork brigade.
Examples of "Jesus features:" new weapons, new maps, significant balancing changes/reimagining (vehicle changes), etc. Last update had new maps, so there were some new and shiny bits to look forward to. 1.5, from what you posted, is to have 4 main features but nothing "new" for us to look at. Squad finder? Nice, but not shiny. Corp roles? Again, nice but not shiny. Tutorials? Nice, but we'll never see them/need them/use them (unless this is a "battle simulator test room" where we get to try out weapons/modules, etc. beforehand). Balancing? Nothing new/shiny there. More WP reward? Nothing shiny there.
See the problem? No shiny features mean that there's nothing for us to "grab" on to. Patches should include 1 Jesus feature/shiny new thing(s) and then the host of quality-of-life changes like Squad finder/Corp roles. |

I know I easily have. To be quite honest it's one of the main reasons I'm still here. I'd wager I'm not alone in this.
I have spent a little but I wont spend money on rubbish that can be easily earned just for the sake of "supporting" CCP.
They have to provide better stuff to keep people coming and while I like the new maps and installations there are many things lacking.
- Full Racial Variants for base suits and weapons which should be in the game at launch no matter how you slice it. - PvE of some sort - Cosmetic items which could easily be a money maker (and something I would spend on)
I was really upbeat after the first few days of this patch and waiting for the new weapons. Now, I'll blow some of the SP and just log in for the daily bonus and play less.

I am disappointed by this news.
I was pinning a lot of my hopes for this game on getting some form of vehicle vs AV balance.
Oh well, waiting until November for the vehicle work to start is just discouraging. Thankfully I will have GTA to while away my days.
I was one of those who complained about 1.5 not being able to generate good feedback because it landed after GTA, and that would have an affect on the playerbase.
Pushing it back to at least PS4 launch window, and then that is only the first stage, means that there will be even less people to give meaningful feedback.
Thanks for giving us the heads up though, I just wish you guys would do something to help out vehicle users now, instead of constantly pushing our needs back.
Why not give us a "Happy month" where you nerf the crap out of AV to get some funny numbers. Just to make up for us getting shafted for so long. |

Two things i want...one, put the required skilles for an item back on display in the market place, that was helpful...and two....i don't enjoy flying paper aiplanes. i kmow when people read vehicle mods are being pushed bavk they are like, WHAT!!! My tank is not going to be invincible yet?!?WTFFFFF!!!! Oh cry me a river, you complain about proto av smoking tanks to easy? What do you thibk they do to my 600k piece of construction paper I'm flying around. I dint care how tough tabks are made or nerfed if that's what the new balancing or longer cooldown high satts moduels do, i just want my DS to survive MILITIA anything!! Ill worry about proto a/v after i can survive the ONE guy thag spawns the free militia swarm to get revenge for the one kill/50 WP i got the whole match...but hopefully this new WP rewards is for DS???
