I looked at the Shuttles. Being someone who doesn't use Afterburners (Or at least anything above Civilian...), the speed of the Gallente Shuttle is pretty outstanding. I looked at it, bought one, and now I'm just going to free-roam a bit. I'll be enjoying the sights of Sinq Laison. Or something. I actually haven't played in a while. I started a trial so I could record a video, because my buddy has never seen the game before and his computer is about 10+ years outdated. So right.
Am I the only one that thinks the front of an Atron looks like a sad puppy? Yes? Ok, I'm sorry. :( |

This is an interesting concept. I'd like to sign up as a mentor or instructor. I run Proto Cal Logi and Advanced Gal Logi, have just over 20 mil SP (playing since Uprising began), and am ranked in the 70s on the leaderboards for WP with one of the lowest number of kills (but positive KDR). Needless to say I have all proto equipment.
I'll join the channel tonight :) |

Hmmm...a logi in the 70's sounds like someone who understands Friendship. Perhaps the Mangrove will find a use for you. But yet, I'm callogi too. :) Logi power! :D |

Omega boosters when they came out the first time, 30 day actives, and the determination to catch up by playing a WHOLE lot of ambushes after capping :) The 3x and 2x SP events also helped a bunch. |

A few things of note today:
 As of this morning Immortal Guides had 70 student members, almost all of which should be in the Learning Coalition chat channel. Actually, that is about to drop to 69 (See below).
It is a momentous day for Immortal Guides. One of my top students is about to graduate! Carbonized is preparing to accept an invitation to join Molon Labe with his Logistics character.
He currently plans to leave at least one of his other characters in Immortal Guides. I have been so impressed with his progress and positive attitude that I have offered him a full Director position in my Corp.
Carbonized is definitely a learning Coalition success story. Shortly after joining up he mentioned to me that he had a tank character, but was not even sure how a tank should be fitted. I worked with one of the Learning Coalition mentors, Summer Sault, to get Carbonized hooked up with Lorhak Gannarsei, a former DUST University tank instructor. (Charlotte 0GÇÖDell covers a different time zone.) Lorhak Gannarsei, currently of Southern Legion, took Carbonized under his wing and taught him to be a fairly competent new Tanker.
Meanwhile Carbonized was also working on learning Logistics and Scout on his other two characters. Working with several Learning Coalition Mentors and Instructors, including an Instructor from BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades, he developed his skills enough to earn a standing invitation to join Molon Labe.
Unfortunately not all my Students develop so quickly. Trying to teach members that donGÇÖt have a mic, arenGÇÖt really interested in squadding up, and donGÇÖt read the forum, can be a real challenge! The one thing I have done which seems to have some success is to send sections of my guides out each day as Corp mail, so that each day when my Students log in, they have something interesting and educational sitting in their inbox. Shortly I will be sending our the 1.6 patch notes in a Corp mail.
 If anyone has any other ideas of how to provide training to my less communicative students I am open to suggestions. |

Just kidding. But I'm glad to see Carbonized has gotten all grown up and is graduating. I hope to still see him in the Learning Coalition chat, helping the newbies. :D
Honestly, Bojo's is so small and has such a lack of instructors that the only thing we really do now is help you get a scholarship to a good corp and provide all the help we can in the Learning Coalition chat. Either way, we're still a pretty big help to the DUST community and all the Learning Coalition members (Instructor and student), the corp is pretty much just a title until we start getting more people in (I need to get my corp level up a bit though).
If someone from outside the Learning Coalition is reading this, I highly suggest that you go and join our in-game chat channel: "Learning Coalition", and if you need any help, we're sure to know the answer. We have plenty of great students and teachers, and finding a good squad to run with shouldn't be hard. :)
Remember also that Bojo's School of The Trades is happy to hand out grants to whoever NEEDS the money. If you have plenty but WANT more, I'm sorry, because we're saving our ISK for the people that truly need help. Hit me up via in-game email with the amount you need to get started, and I'll think it over.

I have a goal of sending new players into Eon corps. This would further increase our reputation. We need to work on finding a couple start pupils to send there. Perhaps they would send us small donations if they see us as a legitimate source for new players who are both useful and not annoying fan-boys.
I'll finally be back by Friday night and will be gaming all weekend (SQUEEE! :D). I hope to see some new guys, there.

Dachande Anasazi is checking out each of the training Corporations and writing consumer reports on them.
He already assessed DUST University. Seems accurate and fair from what I know personally.
Now he is assessing BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades.

As always, I'm happy to see the Learning Coalition growing into such an amazing and breathing entity. Every day I log on, and I see that player list, where I actually have to scroll down, and it just makes me so happy. We're definitely becoming something big, and something important. As a very good, and I personally think, BETTER alternative to DUST University. I would like to give many Likes out to those who read this very thread, and joined up with the Learning Coalition, whether it be to teach, or to learn, or just to have a blast with us. Without you guys, the Coalition would literally be 4 people.
To anyone who hasn't joined us and our wonderful team of students AND teachers, then I want you to join the in-game channel: "Learning Coalition", and squad up with someone, and have as much fun as you can, and teach as many people as you can. Or, if you're looking for schooling, then go out and learn as much as you can. We have more than enough resources and people to answer any question you could possibly have.
So yea. I hope that the Learning Coalition to grow as fast as it is now, and I hope to see more and more experiences players on the field. Less murder taxis, less newbies trying to shoot at the MCC, and less people with a negative KDR at the end of a match.

Districts are only lost if you get cloned-out, right? Right. So yea. I could actually teach people to fly in my dropship.
By the way, Fox/Renier/Crash/Gaden, expect a guide from BSoTT that you could share with your students. It's a bit more advanced, but it could be some base knowledge before they start getting into my section of schooling.
Dropship fitting, surviving whole match, made (almost) top of the board without killing anyone, survived Railguns, Forges, and Swarms no problem, pretty cheap on SP and not too bad on ISK. :D
EDIT: I just need a time for that comms meeting. When are you normally online, and what timezone are you in?

Honestly, D-Uni would hopefully be the one we run mock battles with, to do the Training Grounds Simulation thingy. We have similar goals, and a Training Grounds would benefit both of us. However, I'll just point it out, that if two different corporations from the Learning Coalition each take a district, we can protect eachother from attacks (Lockdown timer or whatever), and still do the Training Grounds. If 3+ of the corporations manage to get a district, it'll be even better because we can just work INSIDE of the LC. Training Grounds, PC experience, good income. All the great stuff.
