If you're not online, get online, because in less than an hour, BSoTT is hosting a training match.
In case anyone wants to know what will be happening, I'll TRY to have the following events held: Dropship Flight Training will definitely be on the list. Tank Practice Battles (Fight with Tanks, whoever gets to 1/4th armor left loses). LAV Racing (I have my Scout LAVs!) Fitting Training (Make vehicle/infantry fits and test them out) Live-Fire Exercises, but we need to preserve clones, so this is a big maybe.
Happening in exactly 40 minutes, 30 seconds. So be there, or be square.
Mics are NOT required, but Voice Chat must be turned on. Any rulle-breaking will result in a kick, although dropship crashes and accidental player deaths are forgiven. :)
So come on guys, let's actually fill a team! It's pretty quiet hear today, so it's pretty empty. About 6-10 people.

I made a thread in The War Room explaining what the Learning Coalition is and why we have districts. I am hoping that many different PC Corps and Alliances will show their support by posting in this thread.
War Room post: Learning Coalition - Planetary Training Club (PTC)
Hopefully this will reduce the number of incidents of Corporations attacking Learning Coalition districts because they did not know who we were.

Sorry for leaving that Training Match, PS3 just crashed, and I have to give it time to cooldown, I think I've found the route of the problem though.

You're fault, Bojo. All your fault. I RULE ALL! >:D
Anyways, the Training Match earlier today was (sort of) a success. It was a pretty quiet day, being the day BEFORE the Cap Reset, so everyone was finding no real good reason to play. We nomrally have a lot of people online at that time, so when Districts are unlocked, I'll move some clones.
We got a couple people in, but all were pretty busy except for Summer Sault, Myself, and Knight. Knight DC'd a little bit half-way through, Krator was doing a work thing, and just everyone was doing something.
Hopefully in the next match, it will be on a more active day (All of my chats were empty), such as Friday or the Weekend, but oh well. The point is, I now know the time is good for me and it's usually active enough, so we'll keep with this time for a bit.
Summer crashed three (three?) dropships, and I was trying to figure out a track for the LAV races, I also let him drive my Callisto for a bit to see how cool Scout LAVs are, although it wasn't much time. I believe I also flew my A-DS for a bit, and tried to shoot Summer's ship.
Either way, there was much dropship training to be had.

So, I figured it out, my cable was about to explode, luckily I picked it up and checked it.
I've got a new one now, hopefully that puts an end to my crashing problems.

Something terribly wrong Funny. I was wondering when you would show up again. You have been missing some interesting times.
I am actually in the process of moving back to my own Corp, as my work at BojoGÇÖs is done for the time being. I was Field Commander for the match between BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades and SVER True Blood. First time as FC, first time in a PC match. Fun times.
You will have to go back 10 pages and read what has been going on while you have been away.

You seriously don't believe that you can just have some districts and not have to defend them? Wow. Welcome to lolPC.
Ummm you do have to defend it...What are you talking about bro.
Honestly if a Tutorial corp uses districts like alt corps were used in old FW days then I don;t see why anyone would attack. All you need is 1 district (2 most - unless you have like 1000 members).
WHat I mean by the FW days is that we would start a match and only 1 person fom the other side would show. NOT hack objectives and learn to drive LAV's (back when you used the stick to accel and brake) and Fly Ships.
Similarly LC uses the districts that way. They have PROPER classes. People get in a district and taught to fly. They get free ships. To make it better they all should be on Mics and a vet should be lecturing and goign around monitoring (kinda like a RL martial arts class)
If a training corp does that, there is no problem with them owning a district.
D-Uni had a FULL planet. And provided experience in PC not to others but to its own members. LC trains people from other corps and hence has good relations. Honestly some of the people in the AE alliance like LC. Honestly any vet corp can use more dropship pilots.
Advice: The game is about networking. It is how D-Uni got the districts in the first place.
I hoenstly think a better use of your districts was to host fights. Sell you district to another corp (Corp A) who wishes to battle Corp B. AFter the battle the corp gives it back to D-uni.
D-Uni is neutral and would be trusted to set up those types of fights.

D-Uni and the LC are having some problems we need to work out right now, especially with the War Director they have over there. Plus, I'm not paying any ISK I don't have to.
Thank you, Dachande, for explaining what we're doing. Honestly, I think we shouldn't have to defend them and more people should check the Rookie Training Grounds. It helps their corporation if they're helping newbies.
Eliters made an attack on BSoTT's district a couple days ago. Because the times are set to fit the Learning Coalition's needs, and not our ringer's, the attack that was supposed to be a Training Match (I assume. Nothing was described in detail by Fox) turned into a District Conquer. I've already gotten angry about this, which is why I seem so calm right now. Also, it's early.
I'll be sending a mail to the CEO and original Founder of Eliters, asking if there's anything we could work out (peacefully) to allow them to move their clones out of the district (Or sell them), so that BSoTT can move back in. It's unlikely it was their intention to take the district, but even if it is, I could always plan for that.
Please, people, I'm legitimately asking you this and just make sure you do this: Tell your War Directors to look at the Rookie Training Grounds. In fact, if you can't tell your War Directors for any reason, go ahead and tell your CEO, or one of the Directors. Anyone with access to PC just needs to know that we're harmless. :)

D-Uni directors, and especially the War Director, are really hating on the Learning Coalition right now. I honestly can't say why, but it's most likely the fact that we're both schools and we have many instructors/students that left D-Uni for us. I couldn't tell.
We need the ISK because it takes 1.5 million ISK (Or something similar) to move clones, plus paying some other costs, I spend a lot of ISK doing PC, pretty much. BSoTT is the only one that has yet to recover fully from the move to PC. Thankfully though, we're starting to recover our ISK, being a little more than halfway there.

Immortal Guides is making our District facilities available to a small Corp which wants to run tests on Lag / Frame Rate issues that are common in PC matches. The intent is to try to produce an issue free environment for 15 minutes to made sure there are no inherent connection issues, and then to try to reproduce the lag / frame rate drop common in PC matches by spamming vehicles, Nano Hives, and Drop Uplinks.
I am interested to hear their results. It would be good to quantify how much Uplink Spamming it takes to start creating problems. |

So although when I return I can not be a part of this LC...it seems like diplomacy issues with DUNI? I honestly still believe BSOTT should have been taken down a notch, to something less official.
You see because the idea of BSOTT being a corporation sort of infers a Supermarketesque approach when that is not at all the direction. I would like to see BSOTT as a smaller, (3 Masters, 6 students to a master) sort of deal. Something that can be handled without a spotlight grudge match.
But I forfeited any say because Arty was really enthusiastic and I am a crowd pleasa. But don't start up a pissing match with DUNI, it's a pretty stupid approach. Someone apologize and regurgitate any and all egos. It's the LC for god's sake.
But good work on districts and things and going on the direction you wish, I really do believe that y'all can create something. But just recognize that when/if I return I am not going to be officially part of anything. |

Bojo, I've already made a formal apology to both of the only D-Uni people I honestly care about, Xer0s and Naedus. Everyone else, I don't really recognize, but if it would make them feel better, they can have a hug too.
Sherrad, I'd just like to point out there are a couple personal attacks made against some of us. One of which being Fox/Renier/Crash Gaden.
I can't name all of them, but at some point Naedus said that Fox was "Not respected by his associates", and that he was a pushover. I don't know what he means by associates, but I actually really respect Fox, and I'm sure that many of the students respect him as well.
He's also not really a pushover. At the point where attacking D-Uni was an option, Fox said that he wouldn't be a part of it. Now, I could understand why some D-Uni members might think of him as a pushover, but you need to remember the Learning Coalition is a place about freedom of choice. He's not really doing what everyone wants him to do, so much as he is not preventing anyone from doing anything. It's something that ALL Learning Coalition members share, we can't really make choices FOR our players.

I would like to first point out that Naedeus is no longer with or corp. Although he does try to come to our defense when he feels its warranted. In reference to your post, I believe he said that because of how Fox left our corp. These problems between us started because CharChar wants to "bring down D-Uni" which is silly. All both of us want to do is help new players correct? We could accomplish more working together than bickering at one another.

Truce?
As soon as the BSoTT district is gotten back into BSoTT's hands, we can work something out. Are you a director? If you aren't can you let me know who the CEO is? :)
Dennie Swift-something, right?
Either way, if D-Uni wants to send out a mail suggesting students join the Learning Coalition channel, I'd be more than happy to let them into the PC training matches. As long as they behave, of course, and the same thing goes for my students.

As Dachande stated we aren't interested in PC. With the changes to fw there is no longer a need for districts. Classes can be taught on low traffic servers like oceania. PC is more of a chore than anything.
