First we will assess how new you are and go from there. We can teach you everything you need to know fr setting up your mic to how fittings work. From there, we can help you choose a trade, or help you improve on one you have started. Also note that brand new students are eligible for 2,000,000 ISK grants. If a brand new player chooses to do so, he can join Immortal Guides, a training corp for players around the 500k SP to 2mil SP mark. It teaches the basics of combat, economics, and the meta game that you will experience in New Eden. If you happen to like a certain play-style, it becomes something of a 'trade'. When you choose a trade, you may join Learning Coalition College. It is a corp that gives you ISK to learn, and designed for slightly more experienced players 2mil-6mil. They will walk you through to your proto-suit and above, if you choose. However, joining Learning Coalition College is not required to learn from us. From there on, Mango and Friends networking agency can help you find the corp that is right for you if you want to get into FW and PC, hardcore. The Mango has connections just about everywhere and a good word from a training alliance can do wonders.

Beyond grants and a formal military service education, the Learning Coalition offers something to newberries that no other training institution offers, nor can be achieved without acceptance into an A-list corp----> the opportunity to play with players that have been here since the closed beta. A newberry has the chance to squad with some of the best players in New Eden, who will protect him, teach him the Art of War, and otherwise prevent pub stomps (students who wish to specialize in vehicles will also have access to free top tier vehicles); all courtesy of the Mango's network of Friendship throughout the absolute best corps.

One of the greatest things the Learning Coalition provides to its students is Planetary Conquest training ops. These are real PC battles run between Immortal Guides and Learning Coalition College. They range from dropship flying lessons and LAV destruction derbies to skirmishes between two teams of students with a few mentors in as advisors. This means a student can receive experience running PCs like the top corps do, acting as a FC (battle commander), or SL (squad leader). The best part is that gear is limited to meta 2 and below (STD, MLT) so even new players are on relatively equal footing with veterans. To get into our PC training program, you must either pay a 5 mil entry fee OR join Learning Coalition College as a student (Recommendation from IG director and 1.5 mil ISK). IG students are permitted no more than 2 PC battles during their time in IG. Learning Coalition College students may play as much as available.

The Learning Coalition has become huge, and because of this, we now have more mentors, instructors, and fellow newberries for you to play with who specialize in anything you could want to learn about. We will find you the best mentor possible to teach you everything you need to know.

Upon completion of our extensive curriculum, you have the option to receive a Certificate (recommendation) from a top tier player in the area of your trade to aid you in joining the corporation you choose, as our goal is to make newberries into who they want to be, not what we want we want them to be.

This high quality education does come at the cost of having a small number of available spots for students, as grants from Learning Coalition College are expensive to keep constant. This does not mean we will ever deny an eager student education; only Learning Coalition College grants.

(That sometimes takes some time.) Of course, if a member of the Coalition Council objects to your Corp joining the Learning Coalition, then the Council will have to discuss the matter in more detail to determine what course of action to take. The Basic Training Corp model is the most common, where new players join the Corp and receive training until they become competent enough to GÇ£GraduateGÇ¥ by joining a more competitive Corp. This helps the DUST Community because there is no restriction on which Corp they should graduate to, so any Corp may benefit from the Training CorpGÇÖs services by receiving a skilled and competent member. Major PC Corps normally would not qualify because they train players specifically to fight for them. Likewise feeder Corps donGÇÖt qualify because they are training for the benefit of a specific Corp. However there are other training models. An established PC Corp could qualify for Learning Coalition membership if they followed the Agony Unleashed model. Agony Unleashed is a competitive NPC Null Sec PVP Corp in EVE Online which also has a training department. They train people from other Corps in PVP (for a fee). They have been doing this for a very long time and are widely respected for the quality of their training. So, if a PC Corp were to have an organized program for training members of other Corporations in tactics, roles, doctrine and other aspects of the game, it could qualify for Corporate membership in the Learning Coalition. I would say a big PC Corp would probably have to work a little harder to prove that they were providing a training service to the community, as they would receive more scrutiny from the public than a small Corp would. Of course this does not preclude Basic Training Corps from dabbling in PC. Immortal Guides and BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades (before it disbanded as a Corp) each held a district in December, which we used for training matches and Dropship Flight School. Immortal Guides also sponsors the Student Planetary Conquest Project. This is a student run project. A student must put together a team (there are rules around how many must be Immortal Guides members), and they must identify their FC, and squad leaders. Immortal Guides will provide them with experienced PC players to mentor them while they train to be an effective PC team. Once they are ready, the team leader will be given the Terrestrial Management Officer role, and their squad leaders will be given the Terrestrial Combat Officer role. I will then transfer sufficient funds in the Corp wallet for them to purchase a clone pack. They are free to select any district to attack. They are responsible for diplomacy and other meta game components of the attack. It is up to them whether they wish to negotiate a training match, or whether they attempt to flip a district. (They are expected to be honourable in any negotiations they make.) If they manage to capture a district, that student team maintains responsibility for that district. When the team leader graduates they have the option of transferring the district to their new Corp. The Student Planetary Conquest Project is designed not just to train students in Planetary Conquest, but to train the students running the project to be future directors and CEOGÇÖs. It is a difficult task, but even complete failure can be a valuable learning opportunity. As far as Ringers, we do not have any rule against members of Learning Coalition Corps ringing for other Corps. Members of Immortal Guides are free to do so. I place no restriction on who they can or cannot ring for. We are supposed to be mercenaries after all. Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
