And that's true, Lillica is pretty great at teaching. Certainly better than me. Like I said, with me it boils down to rage and stupidity. Although, last night I was playing solo with my basic Gallente Assault, and for about 2 matched I was unstoppable. 1st Match: 1st Place, 12/1, only death was a tank destroying my tank (I wasn't tanking, I took out mine for a split second to destroy another one literally got 2-3 kills before I was ambushed by a Gunnlogi while trying to recall) 2nd Match: 2nd Place, 24/3, the person that got first was running a squad of 6 so he had Squad Commission bonuses and 2 Orbitals to help him with kills. He still got less kills than me though, so I'm fine. Only deaths were an tank driving me into the redline, a sniper, and an assault, because for a split-second I had terrible aim. Needless to say, I'm pretty great when I'm not raging and/or when running solo AND/OR when it's very late. "But Art, were you running a GEK? Cuz those be OP!" Nope. Running all MLT except my Nanohives, Assault Rifle, SMG, and G-1 Assault Dropsuit, which are all basic.

For recruiting, at least. -I put "Mic Req" in the name, so people would know to bring their voice. 3 people did not. :( -One guy, forgot his name, had people talking in the background. I do that too, but my mic is so quiet no one can really hear the people anyways. -The same guy said "Guys turn up your mics!" I explained to him that I had ALL max settings, it was just that the mic was crap. 5 minutes later I hear from the same person "Guys, turn up your mics!" I can only assume he didn't hear me. -One person joined and was not a noobie, just wanted to play a couple matches I guess. He wasn't half-bad, but even told me that he wasn't looking for schooling. Makes me wonder why he joined the squad labelled "Learning Coalition Recruitment"... -As I said, the other 3 didn't have their mics, so I can't really say much for them, but they seemed like they could use some help maybe. -Invited all of the people to LC Chat, telling them that it holds all of our instructors, students, etc, and if they had a question, I was sure they could find an answer. -Got offline and started playing Skyrim. I bought the house in Markarth! :D So yea. I've still not had a very good experience with the Squad Finder. I still recruited 4 people. Did I do my part? Can I go back to teaching newbies how to correctly use a Plasma Cannon? Or a Commando? I'd say I earn 99% of my pay just because of that alone.

Being someone who doesn't use Afterburners (Or at least anything above Civilian...), the speed of the Gallente Shuttle is pretty outstanding. I looked at it, bought one, and now I'm just going to free-roam a bit. I'll be enjoying the sights of Sinq Laison. Or something. I actually haven't played in a while. I started a trial so I could record a video, because my buddy has never seen the game before and his computer is about 10+ years outdated. So right. Am I the only one that thinks the front of an Atron looks like a sad puppy? Yes? Ok, I'm sorry. :(

I hope to still see him in the Learning Coalition chat, helping the newbies. :D Honestly, Bojo's is so small and has such a lack of instructors that the only thing we really do now is help you get a scholarship to a good corp and provide all the help we can in the Learning Coalition chat. Either way, we're still a pretty big help to the DUST community and all the Learning Coalition members (Instructor and student), the corp is pretty much just a title until we start getting more people in (I need to get my corp level up a bit though). If someone from outside the Learning Coalition is reading this, I highly suggest that you go and join our in-game chat channel: "Learning Coalition", and if you need any help, we're sure to know the answer. We have plenty of great students and teachers, and finding a good squad to run with shouldn't be hard. :) Remember also that Bojo's School of The Trades is happy to hand out grants to whoever NEEDS the money. If you have plenty but WANT more, I'm sorry, because we're saving our ISK for the people that truly need help. I would like to give many Likes out to those who read this very thread, and joined up with the Learning Coalition, whether it be to teach, or to learn, or just to have a blast with us. Without you guys, the Coalition would literally be 4 people. By the way, Fox/Renier/Crash/Gaden, expect a guide from BSoTT that you could share with your students. It's a bit more advanced, but it could be some base knowledge before they start getting into my section of schooling. Dropship fitting, surviving whole match, made (almost) top of the board without killing anyone, survived Railguns, Forges, and Swarms no problem, pretty cheap on SP and not too bad on ISK. :D EDIT: I just need a time for that comms meeting. We have similar goals, and a Training Grounds would benefit both of us. However, I'll just point it out, that if two different corporations from the Learning Coalition each take a district, we can protect eachother from attacks (Lockdown timer or whatever), and still do the Training Grounds. If 3+ of the corporations manage to get a district, it'll be even better because we can just work INSIDE of the LC. Training Grounds, PC experience, good income. Here's my combat report... For pretty much half the match, I was sitting at a CRU camping their clones, and basically being a living hell for anyone who spawned in. To get an idea of how powerful I am: A Minmatar Medium was hacking a supply depot, and I ran up to him. I had exactly 62 shots left in the clip (I ran out of ammo and was trying to resupply). I killed him, put a couple more shots into his body to make sure he didn't get back up, and had 54 shots leftover. That's 8 shots, and we'll call it 6, because I wasted a couple on his dead body. Heavies tried to kill me but didn't stand a chance. Literally, I just had to aim for the head and they died within AT MOST a second or two. I could hip-fire a heavy to death at 49m, and I could aim at sniper and actually start to tear his shield apart. Basically, I was the end-bringer. With increased damage, RoF, accuracy, and friendship, this thing killed EVERYTHING. At the end, I went 27/1 (One death isn't terrible for me, because I have 19 Balac's, and everything else was ISK), and 1st place, I didn't look at my WP count, but I assume it was high. It all just comes from lots of practice, but a couple things help. I've never spoken to you, you've never seen me work, and you've never seen me play. I think, that maybe, I didn't have is respect in the first place. That's what I think. But, and I'm moving back to my previous point + adding something to it: GTFO unless you know all the facts, and just assume that if I say something that is so wrong it should be a crime, that I'm not being serious. I would never push a player towards a certain playstyle, weapon, or tactic, and I ESPECIALLY would not want them to start exploiting. I hate exploiters, so why would I actually encourage it? Not to mention I'm skilled into every one of the suits/weapons. The only thing I'm NOT skilled into is Enforcer tanks, but I know enough to know they're not really great. Here's basically my run-down of DUST at the moment, and why you need to think for a second. 1) Log in. 2) Start match after saying hello to the LC chat. 3) Get GEK'd probably 10+ times. 4) Try again. 5) Same results. 6) Squad up with Irony, Jillic, Lorhak, Gaden, Char, Lilli, etc. 7) Same results. 8) Get annoyed and bored because it's a crappy game atm. 9) Log off. 10) Rinse and repeat. So whenever you see me give bad advice, especially to Irony, Jillic, or those guys, that's just me being angry. I'm a smart person. That's how I got to be the CEO of BSoTT, and definitely how I co-founded the Learning Coalition. Before I begin, I'd love a like from the supporters of the Learning Coalition, it's you guys that helped us get to this point and I am... Over the moon right now. It's great. This is what drugs is like, I guess. Tonight, at 10:05 PM EST, Immortal Guides sold all their clones in Egbinger 6, and made the district empty. Bojo's School of The Trades then moved into position and secured the district. Immortal Guides then initiated attack on BSoTT, so we can launch the second part of our vision. Emails are open. Join the Learning Coalition chat, and if you are in the Learning Coalition, send either myself (Artificer Ghost), or the CEO of Immortal Guides (Renier Gaden) an in-game email telling us that you want in the match. The first 13 players to email me will get into the Campus, and the first 13 to message Renier will also make it into the match. Emails will remain open for 2 full days. When emails are closed and/or we have reached the player limit, I will post that in this thread. You must be online at 10:00 EST (3:00 AM UTC) to participate. Times are still being worked out, and are planning on being changed later on with a little bit of work. The ~7 minutes in the War Barge will be explaining the rules of the Campus, what to do and not to do, and basically explaining what the Campus is. For our second match, we'll be doing vehicle-style tournaments. Gaden, Charlotte, and myself are still working out the details of this, but we do know that we'll be having it recorded by CEO Pyrex (Shoutout to him, go on Youtube, give him a Subscribe and a Follow on Twitter!), and possible more. If any other Youtubers are interested in filming the tournaments (You may also participate, if you'd like), then please send myself or Renier Gaden an in-game email and we'll get you into the player list. The first match is more like us seeing what maps we have, and then planning out tournaments based on that. For example, if we needed to do LAV Races in the tournaments, we'd need to see the map, and then plan out a good route to use that isn't to long, is simple, and also isn't too short. During this first match, I'll also be teaching people how to fly a dropship. I'm one of, if not THE most skilled Dropship Pilot in the Learning Coalition, so I could absolutely teach you a couple things about it. The fee required is 5 Million ISK OR for you to be in Bojo's School of The Trades. Being in BSoTT requires a minimum of 1.5 million SP. I know it seems like a lot, but you could probably do it in a month or so of playing. :) Once we get the times worked out and everything (We're looking at doing 12:00 PM EST, 5:00 PM UTC, it's most populated at that time), I'll be putting up an official dynamic player list. By dynamic, I mean for the first PC match, It'll have this team. And then for the second, it'll be a different team (Assuming different people emailed me). All corporations of the Learning Coalition, I suggest (Not required, but it's helping out) that you send out a corp mail that basically says to email Renier Gaden or Artificer Ghost. Meaning that you can't bring an HAV to a Dropship fight, or vise versa. Fox joined because things were changing for the worse at D-Uni. I'd also like to point out that Bojo's School of The Trades, has ALWAYS shaken the hand of a D-Uni member. Unless he's on the opposite team. Then I kill him/her. Either way, BSoTT never did anything to D-Uni to hurt it's feelings (/sadface). In fact, when Charlotte said "Ok, let's attack D-Uni!", I basically told him that I just wanted a district so I could start PC battles and teach people in a non-hostile area. Thankfully, the attack didn't go through, but if it had, it was absolutely nothing personal on my end. Any district would've done. I even suggested purchasing the district from D-Uni. Luckily, nothing was done and we got our districts from someone else non-violently. And this next bit. Quote: You're not respected by your associates, Fox. It's plain obvious with the constant attacks against Dust University - a Corporation that YOU have personally put work into. Going back to the same conversation about attacking D-Uni's districts, Fox actually backed out. When this was brought up, he replied with "I'll not be personally attacking D-Uni, because of reasons" (Warning, not exact words). Of course, he did say that he can't stop Learning Coalition members from attacking D-Uni themselves. Not because he's a pushover, but because the point of the Learning Coalition is to be a place of freedom. No corp is required, no SP limit/requirement, only that you join the channel. So if Charlotte did that and other Learning Coalition wanted to see what PC was like, it was still a Learning experience, so he wasn't going to mess with it. Also, I don't know who you mean by associates, but I actually respect him a ton. He's on my Top 5 list, definitely. I mean in the game. My Top 5 list doesn't mix games and life. Honestly, I don't see a corp VS. corp going on here. I see Charlotte, who gets a bit hot-headed, and happens to be against D-Uni, but I know that Fox Gaden nor myself are opposed to D-Uni. Note that the Learning Coalition NEVER said "Better than D-Uni". All we said was "An alternative to D-Uni". Unlike D-Uni, we pull many instructors from outside the Coalition. And there's nothing wrong with using inside instructors, nothing at all. In fact, it has a couple advantages. But also taking from outside has ITS advantages, such as getting more knowledge from further out, instead of using the same person's tactics, and teaching the same thing over and over. That's the only difference. We use more outside materials, but sometimes that tends to make us iffy. If you use more inside people, they have a fair amount of time and experience to learn how to teach. Sometimes I literally just mail someone who I saw had some good tactics/knowledge and asked them if they want to teach. In fact, I'm a terrible teacher myself. I have terrible ADHD, and I'm super laid back (Assuming I don't get too angry), so everything with me usually boils down to laughter, stupidity, and/or anger. Seriously, I get pissed. Installations and Vehicles are free to be hacked, but objectives can only be hacked by the defender at the end of the match. I RULE ALL! >:D Anyways, the Training Match earlier today was (sort of) a success. It was a pretty quiet day, being the day BEFORE the Cap Reset, so everyone was finding no real good reason to play. We nomrally have a lot of people online at that time, so when Districts are unlocked, I'll move some clones. We got a couple people in, but all were pretty busy except for Summer Sault, Myself, and Knight. Knight DC'd a little bit half-way through, Krator was doing a work thing, and just everyone was doing something. Hopefully in the next match, it will be on a more active day (All of my chats were empty), such as Friday or the Weekend, but oh well. The point is, I now know the time is good for me and it's usually active enough, so we'll keep with this time for a bit. Summer crashed three (three?) dropships, and I was trying to figure out a track for the LAV races, I also let him drive my Callisto for a bit to see how cool Scout LAVs are, although it wasn't much time. I believe I also flew my A-DS for a bit, and tried to shoot Summer's ship. It's unlikely it was their intention to take the district, but even if it is, I could always plan for that. Sherrad, I'd just like to point out there are a couple personal attacks made against some of us. One of which being Fox/Renier/Crash Gaden. I can't name all of them, but at some point Naedus said that Fox was "Not respected by his associates", and that he was a pushover. I don't know what he means by associates, but I actually really respect Fox, and I'm sure that many of the students respect him as well. He's also not really a pushover. At the point where attacking D-Uni was an option, Fox said that he wouldn't be a part of it. Now, I could understand why some D-Uni members might think of him as a pushover, but you need to remember the Learning Coalition is a place about freedom of choice. He's not really doing what everyone wants him to do, so much as he is not preventing anyone from doing anything. But now I need guns. Hold on, looking at this Skill Planner, it'll take most of my SP to get into Fragmented Missiles! If I do that, I can't have as good modules! Basically, I'm not going to skill all-in to something that I won't get the most out of. I'll have to grind a ton more just to get to the level that I'm at now, which is not the right way to do it. Most, if not all of this is going into Proto-Logi OR Proto-Scout. Whichever one. Deciding Soon(TM). But if I get back into Dropships, I'll be running a Grimsnes with terrible resistance, no ground support capabilities (Which is what I primarily run currently), and definitely no survivability. TL;DR, I'm not going back into vehicles.
