I'd favour an approach where all weapon mods, both old and new, come with drawbacks. For example, damage mods increase kick, ROF increases dispersion, heat sinks reduce clip size etc. personally I'd like to see them attached to the weapons themsel...

Dispersion feels fine to me; if anything, it's the muzzle flash that puts me off of my aim. Less of that would be welcome. And the damage profile is offset by a decent damage per shot and the highest base ammo count of all the AR-types (I think). ...

The balancing factor to that problem is that people who drop two points I to the operational skill and then spray the assault with complete abandon will be quickly be scouring the market for heat resistant hands.

True, but he precedent has already been set within other weapon types, most notably the AR. The key thing to remember is that the ascr is not inherently more powerful than its TAC cousin, indeed, on paper, it has lower DPS and suffers from burning...

Why not have four spawn points, one each at the four edges of the map? No opposing team could camp all four at once in sufficient strength to actually be effective, and in the time it would take to travel en masse to where the other team was spawn...

I'm happy with the current state of Ambush, and the tweak to turret HP has made OMS much more dangerous for careless tankers. My only ask would be to separate the two at the battle selection screen and then tailor the maps to each of the game modes.
