Are you talking isk or aurum items? In either case, you won't get them back but you won't lose them either because it'd just be your SP being made unallocated (note - not reset).

This is really annoying when you're trying to find a member on the list to give some money to - why did the contacts list get ordered alphabetically but the corp member list is still in no kind of order whatsoever?
