I would strongly recommend to give another look at the Scrambler Rifle and the Assault Rail Rifle (most used weapons) reason for it being used is because they are the most versatile and overpowered of the bunch of rifles. I also would like to throw in the combat rifles they were nerfed to the ground and hardly anyone uses the weapon much unless used on suits hat has a bonus for it. They are extremely awful unless in cqc but are really lacking in performance. It does decent compare to the other rifles in armor but is extremely bad at taking shields granted yes, I'm not asking to destroy shields just a bit increase in damage Imo. These are the only weapons i personally see needing change besides that everything else is about balanced. All I ask is to have another look at these and suggest a small discussion with the cpm on the matter. That is all o7

The sniper rifle needs work. I know it was nerfed because of redline sniping.
But to cure redline sniping you need to give it redline to redline range. If you test it with some good snipers you will see it works. You need to create an antagonist to each redline sniper. |

A fix to persistent framerate issues, particularly on the gallente lag facility and Skirmish/Factional/PC matches in general.
In terms of balance and reasonable goals: break the rep/hardener synergy on madrugers to make them not so absurdly overpowered, and nerf the tactical scrambler rifle or rework it to bring it in line with other rifles' effectiveness.

There is a skill book for weapon CPU reduction already, its the LIGHT/HEAVY/SIDEARM weapon skill and it reduces each respective type of weapon class CPU usage across the board by 15% (I think? Maybe 25%). |

On all Uplink models higher than the Militia Uplink, reduce the "Max Carried" number from 6, to only 3.

The sniper rifle needs its data heavily looked into. We need to find the average TTK in real combat vs paper achievable TTK. Compare that to the TTK of other weapons to see what actually needs to be buffed. Off a gut feeling I believe it is low and needs faster rates of fire across all tiers and variants as opposed to flat damage increases.
Next we need to look at CCP's intended ranges and what they believe would be a healthy zoom level for those distances. It currently feels that within 100ms of the targets the current zoom finally works well. This can be tied to rendering and hit detection. If hit detection or added zoom can't push it past those distances reliably, we need to rework the sniper rifle to perform better at or around 100-150m. If rendering and zoom isn't plausible, than a flat damage bonus is needed. Using only 50% of the thumb sticks and having to be immobile is the balancing factor for this. TL;DR Need more damage if range has to be reduced for hit detection.
Last but necessary is the fact that the dot and circle sights are garbage. I spoke up but was ignored when you asked for input on the sights. We need a horizontal and vertical line cross hair. Just take the one with the dot and add in an equally thin vertical line to it in the center. This would allow those us to better track our targets and better place our rounds where we want them.
When I look down my scope, all I see are dead people.

My personal opinion of stack penalties are removed-
Myofibs- hell no. No one likes to be ohk by a 1.4k punch and dying Scotsman were no nos
Damage mods- assuming people fit thier suits racially, will make op again, will make gko WITH ar good, and make scramblers even more op
Cardio- not something that bothered anyone except jumpers. Why not
Kincats- mmmmmm I lien then but I don't think it would be nice to see a Scotsman with 5 Kincats........
Regulator- this is a yes from me. This will greatly improve shields. Please make it so that a pro calass with 3 complex regs has EXACTLY 1 sec delay.

Just take the one with the dot and add in an equally thin vertical line to it in the center. This would allow those us to better track our targets and better place our rounds where we want them.

Armor and shields seem perfect too me atm.
My Caldari Assault needs a energizer on the high slots and thats fine because it feels balanced when armor also needs a repairer. My shield recharge is 50 HP/s atm, and it feels ok. I'd want more, but I'd have to sacrifice anothe extender and I love my 600 HP shields. Shield regulators drop my delay to 2 seconds and depleted to 3 seconds, I that's good enough.
I think the main problem with shields is the Scrambler Rifle. Maybe tweak a bit its overheat? Damage reduction seems the most logical fix though. |

It is incredibly difficult for the Squad Leader to run double-duty tasks, paying attention to the map or coordinating timely commands---WHILE at the same time trying to keep up her end when the shooting and hacking starts.
Adding +1 to the squad frees up the squad leader to be a stand-off member, operating a vehicle, overseeing things from a sniper location, without weakening the effectiveness/flexibility of her unit.

Maybe add a option to have a debug mode activate when the average framerate too low.

Burst ScP hipfire spread - 20%. Absolute ammo to 90 (5 clips, like very other weapon). These changes are non-negotiable. Do them. Today.
10% infantry armor repair rate buff. Rep-tanking isn't OP by a long shot. Move that way to enable more playstyles.
Kincat low tier buff. Bonus should be 6, 9, 12% PG requirement should be 5, 8, 14 (using light damage mod PG requirement as a scale)

I think you should do what you think NEEDS to be done to keep the game alive.
Not what the people want, not things that favor the people that have been here for a while, but what is needed to bring in new players, and retain them.
What that is, I have no idea. But there are new toons created every day, even if only 50% of them are newbros(probably a tad high, but eh) we need to focus on retaining them.
We can add new things to the game all we want, but it won't help if there are not any new players to use, and provide income for the game.

If the ScR does get tweaked it should be higher damage and lower ROF to promote more marksmanship and less point and spam. also if I could only choose two to improve this game it would be the scanner nerf and the shield buff.

How about no. Platoons are already 16 man "squads", so you'd be decreasing that, and people who play PC (f*ck PC, imo) tell me that isnt good. Squads were made the way they are to make it easier for the matchmaker because all those numbers (4, 8, and 16) are multiples of 16. These odd numbers would f*ck w/ poor Scotty the AI Matchmaker :( We dont f*ck with Scotty.

I assume Grenades can do critical headshot damage because I have had many occasions where I have been in a 650, 750 ehp suit and have died in just one cooked nade blast.

1. Shield
1.1 Shield Extender
While we shield the external defense of the suit and those who use them are caldaris more so you should receive a rebalancing. (I will not explain much)
Bas values GÇïGÇï25 PR / Adv 50 PR / PR Pro 75
As you can see at first bonus that is given to the shield it is weak but as the levels get 3 or more module receives a remarkable and what the penalty for delay remains the same improvement.
Note: there should be variations
1.2 Reinforcing and Shield Recharge.
For these modules I have no recommendation.
2. Armor
The Armor the internal defense of the suit and the most used by all players would give some good buff or rebalancing with its variants. (The penalty does not change)
2.1 Armor Plates
Bas 80 PR / Adv PR 110 / PR 140
2.2 Ferroscale Plates
Bas 50 PR / Adv 80 PR / PR Pro 110
2.3 Reactive Plates
Bas 20 PR + 1 ar / Adv 50 PR + 2 ar / Pro 80 ar + PR + 3 Penalty Movement in 1% to 3 levels.
2.4 Armor Repairer
Bas 2 ar + / Adv 4 ar + / Pro 8 ar +
As you can see there is quite a marked improvement in this armor modules for modules serve as ferroscales or reactive variants are not left short before the armor plate.
3. Biotics
The biotic modules which are used to modify the characteristics of suit as I sprint endurance.
3.1 Cardiac Regulator
A module bit of little use unless you have a suit with little resistance.
I have no ideas for this module, but their values GÇïGÇïare fine.
3.2 Stimulator of Myofribrills
The beloved or hated before a module that was not looked at an assembly unless you want to kill melee, but now with improved jump height modification is used or maybe not.
Now explain how increases should jump suits because there is no value to prove they can jump x height so I invented a system that serves to comprovar to jump up every costume.
Values: m (meters)
2 m Light / Medium 1.5 m / Heavy 1 mts
Now I go with the module and how it will change, if they add up to jump suits stimulation modules so would myodfibrills values.
A new value is (High Jump) and represent her in HJ and melee attack (CQC) would be added.
Bas CQC 30% + 60% HJ / Adv CQC 40% + 80% HJ / Pro CQC 50% + HJ 100%
The values GÇïGÇïare well and remain good.
Note: If only allow 3 or 2 modules of this type would be better and more balanced instead of doing penalties.
3.3 Kinetic Catalizer(Sprint)
Well this module RA costs too much for what it does and for this reason if they can make some modifications.
Besides giving sprint speed (SS) will also give movement speed (MS) and looks like this:
Bas SS 6% + MS 3 or 2% / Adv SS 8% + MS 4% / Pro SS12% + MS 6%
With this and the current values GÇïGÇïwithout changing this module would remain as one of the best if a top is made of me.
3.4 Booster Module
This module was BPO and existed only soldier and I did was add 50% more endurance and also was represented as yellow bottles, is not whether there yet but if you do have it changed by this module to its values I'm going to explain .
This module functions to reduce the cost of shares makes the suit as running hit, jump, etc ...
Continuous Cost Actions (CCA): works as explain arrives reduces the cost of shares used continuously example the sprint (only officer in the sprint).
Followed Cost Actions (FCA): Works well reduces the cost of the actions taken in rapid succession example, jump and hit.
Now with the module.
Bas CCA 10 or 5% + FCA 20 or 25% / 15 Adv CCA + FCA 20% or 30 to 35% / 20% Pro CCA 40% FCA +
This would create the module and this would help many players you like running or jumping and would be very useful in battle.
Not speak of the other modules because I do not use most of the time values GÇïGÇïand not change them.
No matter if you do not implement it is very difficult, but I hope that my ideas will help them CCP.

In short, I get into a 12 v 12 and 2 minutes later I look back and it's now 9 v 3
Not getting into full matches to begin with, getting into one sided teams (10 v 16 and stuff), and most importantly people leaving battle.
This game is NOT FUN once people start leaving battle. Who wants to spend 15 minutes competing with your own team to kill one of the two guys left.

The Matchmaker is creating much frustration.
I would ask to revert back to the old system if possible please. Creating imbalanced almost empty matches at times. Not refilling matches when players leave. I do not feel it has solved the issue of Veterans vs newer players and the battles it has created can be very tedious and boring.
Domination map redline needs to be reduced.
In particular the redline on the "train map" this has caused very linear play in my experiences on this map. The Caldari Facility Domination map would benefit from more installations as well

ie: Caldari Dom map a = Objective in storage hangar thing. Caldari map b = Objective in lower level of the facility...etc. amongst

Firstly, I play solo in pubs always and in FW 80% of the time
Im not here to complain about helping solo players etc, because i like solo,
im here to make a valid point, whenever theres talk of balance and squad sizes and matchmaking people always respond with "its a team based game" or " its a tactical shooter" or " squad up" & "mic up".
I propose, no sharing to active scanners, force the team/squad players to do just that, the guy with the scanner can now voice where the enemy is to his team/squad , give the scans 50% more time on his tacnet

There are plenty of things I'd like fixing in a release, but thinking about what can be done as part of a hotfix, I would like the following (in order of desire):
Reduce the decloak delay.
Increase range and reload speed of breach shotgun.
If you are going to look at shield tanking, I recommend buffing shield rechargers and energisers. Also mlt, basic and enhanced regulators. Possibly reduce the hp provided by armour. Beware changes that encourage excessive shield extender stacking or dual tanking.
Reduce breach SMG mag and increase assault SMG mag.
Increase breach mass driver splash damage.
I do not think rifle balance is a big problem at the moment, and is affected by tanking changes. The assault scrambler rifle is probably too powerful however. |

Also, I strongly suggest decloak delay is looked at, it should be the delay to turn off cloak, not put away. The delay for putting it away is quite frustrating when you sprint and accidentally cancel it and wait for it to lower again. Not to mention the times when you pull it out and quickly need to switch back to your weapon because you've been spotted and haven't activated it.

Remove the leave battle option and the ability to change servers during the battle menu.
How: Disable the menus in the code. (Comment out the buttons)
Why: Lag switching and leaving would be resolved with minimal impact to people performing real game functions. I have ran through three threads on this and there is no logical reason for those menu options that don't involve exploits.

Difference being that in this case you're limiting the use of a piece of equipment which is the current focal point of a racial role. That being the case some level of trade off is likely called for, because while perma scans may be problematic the Gal Logi is far from OP and this change would be a direct nerf.
Adding the ability to earn WP from team scans, as well as scaled WP earnings (more for squad, less for team, higher for hard to scan targets/focused scans, lower for easy to scan targets/wide range scans) would be a good move in that direction. Does nothing to water down the value of the fix while still allowing the racial role to be contextually robust.

Vanilla AR Buff. Make it dominate within 10-20 meters I'd say, then have damage drop off sharply from there. Also, Plasma Rifle.
Shield Recharge and/or Caldari Recharge Buffs, Shield Resistances (to 14, I agree), Regulator buff, and Caldari Recharge and Depleted delays decrease. (1 or 2 changes at a time)
Assault Scrambler Fix. Vanilla Scrambler and Amarr Assault bonuses are fine.
Assault Rail Rifle Fix. Improve Caldari Assault Bonus to reduced the rate of increasing kick of RR variants.
Player Trading completed and with reliable notification system.
Leaving Match Penalty (ISK cost or one-day ban after X number of quits).
FRAME RATE fixes whenever possible. Please look into simplifying map layouts (insert nodes separately instead of having them an inherent part of the map).

I would like to see this happen with racial parity in mind.
Dropsuit modules that are specifically earned through faction warfare for use with ONLY that races suits earned through Faction Warfare.
For example:
Caldari with a shield extender pg/cpu reduction bonus
Minmatar with shield regulators with 10-15% time reduction than their marketplace counterparts (basic is -15% whereas Faction Loyalty would be -25%)
Gallente with armor repairers increased 3-5 more armor repaired per second per advanced or complex module.
Amarr with armor modules with a decreased in movement penalty. Possibly 1-3% decreased for a complex modules.
Hopefully this was relevant to your quote Rattati.

- Getting ripped away from whatever chat you are typing in when you deploy - SKINs in the warbarge - Victory screen glitch - Scotty errors - Invisible walls - Sticky floors. - Lag map - Mic glitch - Permanent sound of a rifle firing until someone fires again glitch - HUD bugs. IE: Ammo bar appearing empty when full. - RDV's not deployable when they should be.

On a Caldari assault if you stack 5 complex light damage mods, the bonus goes from 1.00x to 1.40x. It should be about 1.29x with the stacking penalty. -Squads sizes back up to a minimum of six mercs for public. The rest are good in my opinion. -Victory/Defeat screens in factionals. I'd run factionals a lot more if I didn't get stuck every time.

What do I want?
I want the personal warbarge to lose its passive generation of anything.

How do I want it?
Make it so that in order to generate anything, it would require a set amount of fuel (remember that scrap you gave us in salvage?) per hour starting with a minimum of one hour worth of fuel required up to 48 hours worth of fuel inputted maximum. You could implement separate items into the market as fuel but the scrap we salvaged already is a short-term idea until the long-term is established.
This is so that alt farming of warbarges is eliminated or at least mitigated severely since the warbarge would be treated like a control tower in Eve Online. I understand that Dust 514 is not Eve Online, but I'm only suggesting this as a way of combating alt farming more effectively.
Second, I don't think AUR should be a factor at all with the warbarge. Anyone with AUR and who is willing to take 5 minutes of their time to run the calculations will see that buying warbarge components with AUR is not exactly a worthwhile thing to do. I might as well spend my AUR on boosters, skins, and keys instead.\
PS: I know you want it single sentence, but asking for "how" is not something you can always explain in a sentence.

Eve Online has safe systems for new players. Of course, those star systems are just not profitable for the new player after a while. Their pursuit for wealth and power will draw them out of the starter systems and into the shark-infested space that is New Eden.

There are a number of things that could be looked at...off the top of my head:
Many items have no LP store variant, this is particularly annoying for things like Electronics Modules and Weapon Variations. Additionally, the Tiered HAVs in the LP store would be nice, but I can see why you want to keep those under control given the current game climate.
A balance pass on shield and armor, particularly examining the advantages each has, and the cost of bringing those advantages. I made this spreadsheet to try to examing them, and I don't know how far off I am from how you at CCP examine it.
Oh, and standardizing progression between tiered items would be nice too (not all items have to scale the same way, but items within similar categories should, for instance armor plates and weapons don't have to scale at the same rate, but armor plates and ferroscale plates should). Even if we just got this for one item group per hotfix, I think it would go a long way to helping New Players out, since modules and equipment scaling is very steep.
EDIT: and more tradeable items and/or a contract system
Khanid Logi and Tanker, sometimes AV Heavy or Sniper.

Look at used and destroyed equipment, I'm guessing they aren't purged from memory when destroyed. a hotfix is something that they can change in code, a patch is what you said; really big.
Hotfix example would be changing the boolean (yes/no) of which items can be traded. Just change every item's trade Boolean to yes.....idk how they would change all of them

1) New maps OR bring back the old maps configurations. That is bring back the old maps along with the new maps. this should easily double the map count.
2a) Tweak the acquisition algorithm so that the next objective switch is not so predictable.
2b) add more maps to acquisition. It seems there are only two maps available right now.
3) A bonus to the caldari so that the rail rifle doesn't jump so damn much. That rifle is useless right now.
4) Corp uniforms or a way to visibly include your corps insignia in the suit. This way people know who is killing them. |

Simple weapon modifications.
Being able to customize your weapon is a staple in all modern shooters. Weapon SKINs, scopes, silencers (make it so without a silencer you show up on tacnet within a certain range (15m ish) while shooting), ammo types (eve as an example) , extended clips, etc.
I imagine it working like dropsuit fitting. You create a new weapon fitting and each weapon has a number of weapon mod slots (let's say 2 or something). Adding a modification increases the capacity fitting cost by a set %, costs more isk, and perhaps has an added penalty for balancing reasons (example fitting an extended clip increases reload time). You then save the weapon fitting and are able to apply it to your dropsuit. When in dropsuit fitting, while selecting a weapon, add a new category called custom where you can easily select either the stock vanilla weapons or one of your custom weapon fittings.
That's how I'd do it at least. |

Some way to limit gear used in matches and allow players to select which level they want to play. I cant afford to officer 24/7 but my sp puts me into matches where it is all I face. Its the new protostomp really. Isk can not be a limiting factor when power pools as it does here. I know its a lot to ask for but I would take being segregated from the crappy ping crowd over any balancing. Nothing more infuriating than being dead before you see the enemy because the servers decided you didnt need to know they were there and had been shooting you.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...

Revisit tank balance re: survivability. Shield tanks are made of tissue paper while armor tanks are vibranium coated death wagons to the AVERAGE av user (specially with a plasma cannon). There has to be a happy medium in there somewhere.
I've also been kicking around wanting a look at the max speed ceiling. While speed tanking is valid, moving so fast the game can't keep up with rendering you isn't. |

Yes and no. I am actually only a Corporal (LR 3) and I'm as legit as they come in trading. But it would deter some scamming possibly. May not as well since scammers are getting a bit smarter (making name copy alts of legit traders, bumping up lr with aurum and scamming). Need a trade window really. That way both parties see what's being traded before accepting.

4) Perhaps some slight tweaking to modules, insofar as different types being available for different playstyles; Armor mods are a good example by having straight Plates, Ferroscale for no speed penalty, and Reactive for a little armor rep. Expand this out to other modules like: cloak, biotics, dmg mods, etc.
5) UI Update to display bandwidth in use or active equipments on the field, also useful for if they get destroyed or run out.

Since I started playing Dust, in open beta, one major problem has ruined 90% of my games: Roof camping.
So a fix to roof camping, that I think ruins the game for everyone is the WHAT.

HOW: someone smarter than me suggested to change uplinks. Not letting uplinks survive on high roofs (because of atmosphere or stuff) could fix the problem.

I propose a bonus for scanner range. Sidearm bonus could also be useful. I like the racial bonuses though. I just can't equip a cloak on my scout due to its ridiculous CPU/PG cost. |

Some things I can think of off the top of my head:
Fitting Tweaks
High Slots Shield Rechargers currently show Shield Rechargers along with Shield Energizers. Remove Shield Energizers from list.
CN-V Light Damage Modifier still not categorized as a Light Damage Modifier. Move to LDM list.
Low Slots Armor Plates currently shows Armor Plates, Ferroscale Plates, and Reactive Plates. Remove Ferroscale and Reactive plates from this list (as they already have their own categories).
Vehicle High Slots Vehicle Scanners aren't in Electronics? I would suggest moving them here. Also, should it have a "Scanners" sub-category?
Vehicle Low Slots Armor Repair modules don't have an Armor Repairer category. Add and move them.
Blaster Ammo Unit Category but no Missle or Railgun? Add those two and sort those items into proper categories.

We currently have 2 items named the same thing: Imperial Viziam Drop Uplink (975 ISK 75 LP | 5% Spawn Time Modifier)
Imperial Viziam Drop Uplink (5,312 ISK 150 LP | -47.5% Spawn Time Modifier)
Please change the names to have unique names (much like the other equipment does). (My suggestion would be to have the 150 LP version named the "Imperial Allotek Drop Uplink". In legacy versions of Dust, this used to exist. Not sure if this name would fit with the lore though.)

Please switch these prices. The CreoDron allows you to use a Prototype scanner at an advanced level and 75 of your Loyalty Points should be used instead of 150. The Duvolle is a strong Prototype variant that needs level 5 to operate. This should be taking 150 of my Loyalty Points, not 75.
Item Modifier Tweaks
Vehicle Armor plates. There was a thread about this a while back. 60mm plates have the same movement speed penalty as 120mm plates. This also scales right along with the higher tiers as well. Would it be possible to have smaller movement penalties on the 60mm plates than on the 120mm? This could be achieved by either decreasing the 60mm movement penalty or increasing the movement penalty on the 120mm, but this would be a gameplay mechanic pass most likely. In any case, common sense tells me that 60mm plates are lighter than 120mm plates and, as such, should be as movement penalizing as the heavier variants.
Tutorial and Welcoming of New Players
In legacy versions of Dust 514, we had a voice welcoming us saying "You show great promise recruit..." etc. We also received a NPC generic welcome mail saying how great we are.
Later on, we received a proper tutorial that guided new players how to start a battle, how to create a fitting, how to create a vehicle fitting, how to allocate skill points, and rewarded the player for doing these things.
Suddenly, all these things were gone. What happened?
In order to have New Player Retention, please consider re-implementing a Welcoming System and/or a proper Tutorial.
Server Stability
Unfortunately, I can only add my experience here and don't have any good recommendations like I had in the above. My main complains are:
Kicked out of queue when we have the "Waiting For Deployment" indicator.
Every so often, Scotty will jerk you around, letting you know that you are searching for a battle, getting your hopes up by letting you know you are about to go into battle, and then laughing at you saying he was just kidding by removing the "Waiting For Deployment" indicator, leaving you in your mercenary quarters like a dropped dinner date leaving you to ask, "What just happened?"
Quality in Planetary Conquest matches
Dust University has started taking part in some small skirmishes in PC battles (losing in the most spectacular stompfests you've ever seen), and for some reason, there seems to be something off playing these. For me, it seems odd to have both Public and Faction Warfare matches be relatively smooth, and yet it seems PC matches are still very unstable. (I know you guys have been working hard on this though, so look at this as just another recent player's experience input.)
I'll write another post if I think of more.

Jump height. Current max height with three Myo's is fine, it's just enough to get on a crate, but the Myo's should have a stamina penalty, that'll reduce the problems with perpetual jumpers. Additionally: Default jump height of all suits should be slightly higher, we can walk up stairs, but trip over pebbles on the ground. |

if you have a problem with something, counter it. I had a problem with sentinel's back when the HMG had the range of an assault HMG, so I pulled out knives.
If you have a problem with rooftop camping, skill into ADS and start learning it. 2 hardeners and a light shield booster will be suffice for you to clear a rooftop while under AV fire.

Increase fitting requirements of ferro and reactive plates. Increase movement penalty of vanilla plates, then give Heavy Frames an offset to the increased movement penalty such that it doesn't affect them. This would bring armor closer into balance with shields while ensuring that the status quo is maintained for Heavies, Sentinels & Commandos ... meaning their fitting capacity, hitpoint levels, intra-class parity, etc would not be affected. Sample figures:
Cmp Ferro/Reactive CPU/PG = Cmp Shield Extender CPU/PG Enh Ferro/Reactive CPU/PG = Enh Shield Extender CPU/PG Bsc Ferro/Reactive CPU/PG = Bsc Shield Extender CPU/PG Cmp Armor Plate Movement Penalty = 5% when equipped by Heavy Frame, otherwise 10% Enh Armor Plate Movement Penalty = 4% when equipped by Heavy Frame, otherwise 8% Bsc Armor Plate Movement Penalty = 3% when equipped by Heavy Frame, otherwise 6%

Dispersion on rail weaponry doesn't make much sense, physically. I know, it's a game, but rail weaponry is known to have good accuracy. Imo both Caldari and Gallente bonuses are fine because they aren't very game changing, but aren't necessarily bad bonuses. You can get a slight advantage if you use the corresponding faction weapon. Aim assist balance. Prioritize lowest range for strongest aim assist, furthest range= you have to aim yourself. Do this by weapon category as well (heavy, light, side).

As for the Heavy weapons, the forge would be boosted for anti-infantry with aim assist I do agree. The side effect would be it would be worse for vehicle engagement as it is better to lead a target. The hmg, is fine were it is at, but thats just my opinion as I don't ever use them enough to input any real information on them.

Most of the weapons that don't have it should still be so minimal that there is no pull or noticeable difference. The only noticeable difference would be better fluid weapon performance. Mass drivers right on target might actually apply damage (even direct hits), sniper rifles and forgers shots wouldn't pass straight through targets, and so on.

Maybe instead of nerfing just some guns we just lower damage across the board. With the War Barge giving out a free complex damage mod the Time-to-Kill on here is way too short these days. Not to mention some of the weapons that ARE out of line (AScR) melting people faster than they can react. Hard to be a tactical FPS when you don't really have options. |

Most of the problems that plaque most weapons could easily be adjusted after this fix. For example but not limited to:
1. Scrambler rifle. Well this would balance it for real. It performs too well at all ranges currently. after this fix, it would suffer from the old HMG dilemma. It would be too accurate to use close up.
2. Fix the rail rifle kick and dispersion. Tune it close but worse than the current scrambler rifle kick and dispersion. This would make it what it was intended to do. Be good when far but far from good.
3. Bolt pistol wouldn't be any easy hip fire one hit kill strafe weapon.
4. You might see a more balanced weapon kill feed. Many maps allow the player to choose their engagement range but only reward those using a few of the weapons. Sure many weapons due pop up on the kill feed due to this, but I believe my purposed fix would see the ranges actually matter from which you choose to shoot from. This fix would also bring lore and tank into accountability for what you choose.

ADS gets bonus to splash damage for missiles and spread damage for blasters so it can become a strafe vehicle rather than a hover and fire vehicle.
Also, fix small blasters. Not hitting at all on ADS.

I'd be happy for it to be some tweaks to some of the long(er) standing issues that people have been having.
E.g weapon balance (Scr, AScr, AR, ARR, Scr Pistol, Bolt Pistol), (I expect the devs are getting unbelievable bored of constantly nudging these figures back and forth though). I like the idea of swapping the ion pistol and Scr charge mechanics. Shield suits. Adjustments to Acquisition.
As always it's a tricky one though because balancing one thing always shifts something else. Shield suits are an interesting one as you constantly hear how UP they are and yet an awful lot of people in game are currently running ck.0's and that can't be because they are rubbish. (myos?)
Shields and armour need to be different from each other and if the main complaint is that a shield suit can't get in and tank a Dom point like an armour suit then, to play devils advocate, I'd say good. It's not the shield's role to do this. They're, on the whole, more mobile, longer range harassment, seek and destroy style fits.... at least that's how I see and play them, although I am no expert so happily defer to more knowledgable people but it wont take much to shift the balance too far the other way and have OP shields.
For example are the issues with armour actually more to do with the repair tools/hives rather than the amount they can tank vs shields? Do logis need another WP reduction on reps and or slower reps across the board? Could hives be repurposed from repairing armour to recharging shields (we won't get deployable shields etc but is this the next best thing?)
Again, yes there is a problem with the other rifles in CqC vs the AR and simply buffing AR in CqC might work but at what point does it begin to cut into the HMG's role as a close in point defence weapon? Will Gal Commandos with AR's start 'out firepowering' Sentinels with HMG's?
Also be happy to see if anything can be done to reduce the ol frame rate issues/memory leaks. Been playing more FW over the last few months and had never really seen it first hand but have now probably had half a dozen virtually unplayable goes on the Gal Facility. Annoying as it is definitely one of the better maps as far as layout goes.
Be nice to get some variety in the maps too. Even if it's just having the Dom/Skirm points in a few different locations thrown into the mix, a bit more variety and no more maps needed.

Get rid of uplinks and give more points to transporters. Real military has to drive or fly in. That would relax the 10 snipers on the roof . Cause when there dead there dead there not just re spawning . If I kill you in a shoot out! before I get the primary hacked there you are again, so I have to fight you again and run all over the map finding uplinks and if I'm a heavy can't get down in some of these valleys to kill uplinks. While in the meantime my little scout buddy sneaks in and gets my hack that I've been trying to get all night for my daily . I can live with my unlock able drop ship if there were no uplinks. If you can't delete uplinks lock my ship so people can't steal it while I'm using the gun and they can't fly there just killing my ship with me on the turret ! ! ! |

Reactivate the full-length war room countdown (what we call the warbarge lobby) in all FW matches.
This used to be a good 5 or 7 minutes long. It was truncated due to previous players' refusal to use the time productively for strategy and MIC discussion. Since then the player community has rotated a bit, and new players are trying FW matches. They should have a chance to play FW the more-strategic way it was intended, and they should be allowed to try using the War room.
Many of the new-generation players may prove to be better organizers and tacticians than the original band of Dust players.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

I use one on my assault occasionally. You only need one it's fitting requirements are ridiculous as is. But this would help balance out armor without increasing fitting cost which would be much worse than losing anther percent or two of movement. |

Haven't finished reading the thread but gotta get to work, so:
For the in-the-dirt gameplay:
1) Get shields in the game: Drive the changes through modules, personally like regulators for this.
2) Rifle balancing pass: This is what we collectively do best, and we're pretty close now. AR needs more cqc, scrambler & ARR need less.
For the overall game design/game experience:
1) Game experience: address match leaving. Game design: Do this through a first iteration of a contract system for pubs.
For the quality of matchplay:
1) Address the power of shared scans, especially in pubs. Primary game mechanic that enables easy stomping, imo.

Fix payouts for when you enter mid-way through a battle so that when you are added you will stick around i.e. get payed a reasonable amount instead of the crap currently so everyone often leaves if deployed to a battle mid way through. |

The one fundamental, imperative, crucial thing which needs to be fixed, is the lag. What kind of lag do I mean? Lag caused by your server, not my internet is the only way I can describe it.
I keep shooting at people who stand still, my rounds do not deplete yet I'm firing, a few seconds later the game works out where everyone should be and places us at the right position, but for a moment it hang it tries to think and the game stops for a few seconds.
I should not be experiencing the same lag I am on fibre optic broadband, that I did on a 6mb ADSL line. I have upgraded my internet substantially yet am still getting the same problems, I am adamant that the problem is on your end.
I upgraded my internet just for DUST, I spend real money and am not seeing an increase in performance. This issues have plagued DUST since day 1. Sometimes people rep their shields over my fire.
People should not be teleporting, sometimes it's 1 person, sometimes the whole team shifts, like chess pieces if you were to blink and suddenly you'd lost the game and had no pieces on the board.
This is 100% a problem on your end and is what most people are referring to when they talk about lag. It's server-side, the server is having problems taking enough instances of where players are and seems to not know what to do next, the server isn't running smoothly it's stopping and asking for advice from all the other servers.
I haven't had it for a while but I used to have an extremely bad problem, if I was to stand on a ledge or the edge of a building, the game would lag and I would be thrown off of the building. There is also some weird problem with rubber-banding, only you're rubber-banding to a place you never were, usually you are placed back in the spot where you were before you started lagging, throwing me off of buildings is completely random.
Why is the server somehow shifting my position when I'm not inputting any commands to the controller? Look CCP I'll be as real and honest as I can, I'm a very technical person and there is no way I will not notice things like this, I have a very good eye for noticing when something isn't quite right and can always explain my theories, this is not a shot in the dark from some crack pot conspirator, this is a genuine fan of your game who is telling you that something is inherently wrong with your servers, I play on the European server only.

What do I want and when do I want it? That is easy but this is the wrong topic. What I want is to stop the tiny tweaks, and re-balancing. Fix some of the long standing bugs, the annoying little ones that have always been there like the wrong splash screen before a battle to the newly introduced things like the team chat after a battle is joined never letting you join a squad after entering FW. These little bugs are adding up and I fear they will be ported over to the next iteration of Dust before being fixed. A mass driver can always be nerfed, but elastic spawn points that pull you back each time you are a certain distance away need a deeper attention to detail and attention soon. |

For that, we would need CCP Rattati to implement the final part of limited dropsuit tiericide so that we can be sure we have enough PS3 memory to support that many players.
Also, I have been playing Dust 514 since the Replication build of Closed Beta and I never once saw 48-person multiplayer. If there ever was before that time, then it was probably when we had very limited content available when only four suits literally existed. Gallente Scout, Caldari Assault, Minmatar Logistics, and Amarr Heavy. That was it.

1) Running a Min scout I would run as a Hacker or NK'r. This being the case a Hacker with extenders, damp, code breaker, kinkats to scoot by under most passives, and get to the point quickly. As a NK'r about the same thing but with damp, green, red bottle. I am not in anyway a competitive scout though.
2) It would affect them in two ways slow them down further and increase the range they are seen even on passives. Allowing for people choosing the non-tanked route to get a greater tactical advantage. If you can see your enemy and they cant see you yet, you could get that jump on them to cancel out any advantage they have in a head to head fight.
But then again that takes thinking on part of the player. |

Give the scout suits of all races slightly more precision (one basic module worth?) so that their role as forward-recon can be recovered.
Increase the DPS and range of the SMG slightly so that it feels somewhat like it's older version (pre-parity), and give a small bump to the effectiveness of the MagSec SMG.
Reduce the 'bad-pull' penalty on the Scrambler Pistol ever-so-slightly.
Return unlimited fit myo-fly-brils, then give them a stacked-penalty to stamina used per jump.
Increase raw damage 100% on small blaster turrets
decrease swarm launcher effectiveness by 10% (both damage and concussion)
reduce core locus grenade lethality by 5%
put the breach shotgun back where it was
give the breach AR some of it's 'thump' back
increase effective range on basic AR by 5% (or consider giving gallente a sidearm to counter long range weapons)

This is not a "Hotfix" and CCP does not deploy "Hotfixes"
Any first level computer programmer knows that a hotfix is deployed while the system is still up and running hence the name hotfix, which comes trom the the root that the system is still hot and running.
What CCP does is deploy "updates" which are done when the system is shut down.
Lets all use the right terms and not act like idiots.

This is not a "Hotfix" and CCP does not deploy "Hotfixes"
Any first level computer programmer knows that a hotfix is deployed while the system is still up and running hence the name hotfix, which comes trom the the root that the system is still hot and running.
What CCP does is deploy "updates" which are done when the system is shut down.
Lets all use the right terms and not act like idiots.

If you don't you are then fighting on my terms where I have already adapted to listening for footsteps (thanks to my headset) and being all fast and dodgy on rolling hills. Even if I am forced to fight in a city where passive scans can see me, the structures provide enough cover against bullets. A crate* and a wall offer more EHP than any shield extender I could fit. In many case, I just stack nothing but kincats and damage mods for my knives and hope for the best.

These reasons are the number 1 to make players ragequit and uninstall the game, others are just not important at all.
-Increase the Eve/Dust link. Just one thing to restart the crossplay: Choosing the systems in fw fights like 2 years ago, please!

Adding a scan profile penalty to shield extenders would without question move EWAR interplay (and with it, Scout performance) further away from balance than toward it.
In competitive play and in a high percentage of High Mu pubs today, you're either below 21dB or you are always (at minimum, almost always) active scanned. This has made moot any effort to dampen by non-Scouts. Further, always-up 21dB active scans wholly override middle and outer ring passive scans in a wide range of settings, including (but not limited to) small-to-medium sized sockets, large areas surrounding contested objectives, and all but the outskirts of most Ambush, Dom and Acq matches.
All else held constant, it is my opinion that adding a scan profile penalty to shield extenders would (1) go largely unnoticed by the high-profile dual tankers whom the penalty is supposed to discourage and (2) would detrimentally impact Scout performance as well as intra-class parity and (3) would worsen an already poor state of EWAR interplay. |

We can ask for a lot of things n all of it would be useless to read or ignored but one thing tht is actually possible to achieve n needs to be done n would be cool to happen is input something on a dropship HUD tht informs you if someone is spawning. I cannot stress how bad it is when sm1 tries to spawn n is left hanging when the pilot jumps out. Make a system for the Market in trading where you can make a request to trade a certain item like Bolt pistol for 890isk per pistol over a period of time.
Let me make it clearer Say you want a tank for a fair,cheap price, you issue the trade Set what you want and how many for each. You can have a ratio thing like 3/1 or 1.25/1 You can set how long you want this trade to last, 5h-15h(Limit is 3d... d=day)
Seems better to have a timer before the deal is absolute, maybe varying 5m to 3h to how much something is so can avoid scams. Best to have time to think.

I just want to makes this clear for all you people who clearly don't understand what a hotfix is. I'd also like to thank CCP for putting up with all these people.
Hotfixes are for balancing. You won't get quafe jet packs, amarrian laser cannons, or gallente mortars in a hotfix. You can however get stat changes in hotfixes, like changing damage for a certain weapon, or range, rof, etc.
In other words. Updates are for adding items. Hotfixes are for balancing items.

Skin mods should not only change the colour of your dropsuit but also should change the colour of you gun's and equipment (not so much equipment). Same should go for pre-made suits with a different colour. It is so annoying when my paladin has crimson and gold all over it and in the middle of nowhere, it's holding this dull beige-like gun. I don't wanna sound demanding, so if you feel that this would make lag even worse and use up too much memory, then you don't have to do it, but if you can, plz consider it ccp. Thnx

Here you go Rattati.
1.) Let skins display in the warbarge. I wanna strut my swag.
2.) Buff range mods into usefulness. They are literally useless at the moment. Needs fixing. Long-Mid-Short scanning should keep this in check to stop long range permascans.
3.) Get rid of cloak shimmer. Reduce scan range to 0 while cloaked. Nobody wants the return of the permascanning invisible scouts. However, cloaks still are too weak against anyone with a decent set of eyes. Make it a proper escape/insertion tool. Oh, and get rid of the Aim Assist and red marker on cloaked targets. I can't tell you how many times I've stood still in the shadows and got popped as someone swept their gun. You can feel the tug and just can light them up without actually looking.
4.) District Kredits would be nice to use. Also, the bar for DK at the end of a PC isn't at a set limit. If you exceed the amount listed, the bar will continue to grow until it literally takes up the bottom of your screen and covers all of your salvage.
5.) As much as I love it, factional boosters are bugged right now. They give you more LP than listed. I think it's 2.0x instead of 1.5x.
6.) Make Assault Swarm launchers and Breach shotguns useful. Breach can be fixed by simply giving it 4 shots instead of 2. Assault Swarm needs something like a much shorter lock on time with higher clip and less damage. Possibly give it higher missile speed as well. Good for quickly locking a fast moving target, like a runaway dropship or LAV.
7.) I've been using the magsec, and while I love it, it could use a buff. Increase range a bit and give it a bolt pistol scope. OH YEAH, also can you make the silencer thing visible on our screen? Enemies can see it, but not yourself.

In order to Dust it off.. Find a spare HDMI cable and Slot on my TV to put it into.... Try to plug in the power cord into a power bar.... Bluetooth sync the DS4....
Turn it on to realize how much more clunky things are... Slower...
I End up saying "Screw it" and don't bother with any of that **** to play DUST 514.
If the game was on ps4 I might actually jump on here and there while convincing a few people there to give it a try.
Until DUST is sitting on ps4... There just isn't any reason to play it, unless I don't have a ps4.

Proposal: 1/10th (plucked out of my ass number) movement rate on all surfaces up to and including vertical with more "snap-to" to get our mercs out of object traps.

Drawback: there is not a lot of variety in climbing animations so this might not look great.
Benefit: Mercs can do some surprising and funny things given enough time to climb up things that would not normally be possible but with a slow climb rate that should not be OP.
Drawback: There could be complaints at a change in overall game play by disruptive tactics opened up by this capability.
Implementation: either a change of variables or completely hard coded and not do-able. Ability to move sideways would be optional.
Blue sky / Green fields thinking: Parkor system including extreme rock climbing.
