Fox Gaden wrote:Learning Coalition had its first Planetary Conquest training match yesterday evening. Well, actually we had one before, but the timer had not been reset, so no one showed up for it.
This training session illustrated the clockwork efficiency and organisation that the Learning Coalition is known for, which of course is based on the workings of a clock which was tossed off a building and run over by a LAV.
Tic.........Tic.Tic.....................Tic......Sproing!
So when the time came for the match, no one from BojoGÇÖs School of the Trade was on to give Learning Coalition members access to the attacking team. I logged in on my BSotT alt, but discovered that he had not been given the Terrestrial Combat Officer role.
So we only had 16 slots. We carpet bombed Corp chat and Learning Coalition chat with invites and took anyone who wanted to go. Luckily they all fit in the 16 available slots.
So the match started and I called in a few militia dropships. Several beginner pilots started plying the skies. A few ran into buildings, so I called in some more.
Unfortunately a relatively new Corp member started hacking all the objectives. I had made it clear in a Corp mail, in Learning Coalition chat when we were doing the invites, and on Comms, that people should not hack the objectives as it would shorten the match. I checked and this member had voice activated in Learning Coalition chat along with the rest of us, but he refused to communicate. So, I am assuming that it was a deliberate act of sabotage.
Since Immortal Guides is a basic training Corp, and has no entry requirements, there is really no practical way to keep spies and saboteurs out, so I was not particularly surprised at this turn of events. I had originally planned to have the other team hack half of the objectives if this happened, to balance the null cannons and give us a decent match time. Unfortunately we were not able to get anyone onto the other team to do this so the match ended in about 8 minutes.
Some of my guys were a little disappointed at that. GÇ£Is that it?GÇ¥ So I went to initiate an attack on BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades, to setup another match, but SVER True Blood had beaten me too it.
The SVER True Blood attack on BojoGÇÖs School of the Trades will happen at 01:00 EVE time, Saturday evening in the US, Sunday morning in Europe. This should be interesting.
I can ring for it...Attackign a tutorial corp is dumb.

You seriously don't believe that you can just have some districts and not have to defend them? Wow. Welcome to lolPC.
Ummm you do have to defend it...What are you talking about bro.
Honestly if a Tutorial corp uses districts like alt corps were used in old FW days then I don;t see why anyone would attack. All you need is 1 district (2 most - unless you have like 1000 members).
WHat I mean by the FW days is that we would start a match and only 1 person fom the other side would show. NOT hack objectives and learn to drive LAV's (back when you used the stick to accel and brake) and Fly Ships.
Similarly LC uses the districts that way. They have PROPER classes. People get in a district and taught to fly. They get free ships. To make it better they all should be on Mics and a vet should be lecturing and goign around monitoring (kinda like a RL martial arts class)
If a training corp does that, there is no problem with them owning a district.
D-Uni had a FULL planet. And provided experience in PC not to others but to its own members. LC trains people from other corps and hence has good relations. Honestly some of the people in the AE alliance like LC. Honestly any vet corp can use more dropship pilots.
Advice: The game is about networking. It is how D-Uni got the districts in the first place.
I hoenstly think a better use of your districts was to host fights. Sell you district to another corp (Corp A) who wishes to battle Corp B. AFter the battle the corp gives it back to D-uni.
D-Uni is neutral and would be trusted to set up those types of fights.

Please, people, I'm legitimately asking you this and just make sure you do this: Tell your War Directors to look at the Rookie Training Grounds. In fact, if you can't tell your War Directors for any reason, go ahead and tell your CEO, or one of the Directors. Anyone with access to PC just needs to know that we're harmless. :)
You need to get active in the war room buddy.
Also can I get some Isk? lol. Sorry been begging for like 8 mil isk for some time now. |

Artificer Ghost wrote:D-Uni and the LC are having some problems we need to work out right now, especially with the War Director they have over there. Plus, I'm not paying any ISK I don't have to.
WHat you need ISK for? ANd what is a war director and why does D-Uni's director effect you? |

Artificer Ghost wrote:D-Uni directors, and especially the War Director, are really hating on the Learning Coalition right now. I honestly can't say why, but it's most likely the fact that we're both schools and we have many instructors/students that left D-Uni for us. I couldn't tell.
We need the ISK because it takes 1.5 million ISK (Or something similar) to move clones, plus paying some other costs, I spend a lot of ISK doing PC, pretty much. BSoTT is the only one that has yet to recover fully from the move to PC. Thankfully though, we're starting to recover our ISK, being a little more than halfway there.
Umm honestly D-Uni said they don't want to do PC. Plus they are neutral. Any district they take will be through diplomacy.
They are people of their word. So I wouldn't worry too much.
Also you hold a district NOT in Hrober. Hrober was the planet D-Uni was on. |
