Dispersion feels fine to me; if anything, it's the muzzle flash that puts me off of my aim. Less of that would be welcome. And the damage profile is offset by a decent damage per shot and the highest base ammo count of all the AR-types (I think). ...

The balancing factor to that problem is that people who drop two points I to the operational skill and then spray the assault with complete abandon will be quickly be scouring the market for heat resistant hands.

True, but he precedent has already been set within other weapon types, most notably the AR. The key thing to remember is that the ascr is not inherently more powerful than its TAC cousin, indeed, on paper, it has lower DPS and suffers from burning...
