Also confirmed on IRC by CCP Logibro was that the new weapons pushed back to 1.6 were the Combat and Rail rifles. So they'll be in 1.6 with possibly other weapons as well (no confirmation).

You won't be able to protect the hack point from afar, but you'll still be able to protect the area around the hack point from afar. Being sniped while hacking was always stupid and I'm glad they've taken steps to prevent that in the future.

I'm in full support of excluding solo players (and small squads) from FW altogether. In my mind, when you que up for FW with your 6-man squad (or team when team deploy is implemented) you should expect to see the match full of other 6-man squads ...
