C+šp the maps feel to big for the player count within skirmmy.
Skirmish feels like a running game, but with out the refreshments... The game mode needs about 25% to 35% decrease, unless your going to up the player count soon? I think your look at another 15 on each just to make it epic...
Ambush feels empty and needs to be redesigned without the 5k maps in mind. Unless your going to fill the ambush maps with more objects, or just play with the terrain in a way that blocks line sight more.
Some of the new dom maps are ok...
I'm getting bored and really need a rush mode, but not a rush mode that's a lot of old skirmish map tied together.

The maps seem to be made for 32V32 matches (or more) and armor mobility.
Problem: Don't have 32V32 matches (or more) and armor is scared shitless by AV |

No way. they are GREAT for 32 player battles. LAVs are actually useful now strategicly, rather than just as murder taxis.
The above people are whining just because they never bothered to put anything into vehicles, I would guess.
They're also not so bad if you have skilled into scout, rather than just heavy, or medium+++ARMOR.

Also some of the objectives take to long even if you get a lav( calling it down from the sky)

I find that with the combination of these new maps and the fact that winning or losing has no real meaning it is encouraging camping more than before.
Nothing wrong with this, just something I have noticed is all. |

Camping objectives, is what's *supposed* to happen. Capture an objective, and protect it. Strategy.
Camping spawn points? So create more uplinks. Again, strategy. Its supposed to be a feature of Dust? If the enemy successfully camps all but your original MCCspawnpoint.. that means they are EXECUTING GOOD STRATEGY. If you cant combat that, then they deserve to win and you deserve to lose.

I like the new maps. I think they are near perfect in size. Any smaller encourages zerging, which I hate. Any larger and the battles would be too slow in their progression.
Currently the battles usually consist of several different firefights at different installations or objectives occuring simultaneously throughout the match. I think this is what the game is meant to be. Some of the maps are big enough for a few more players. I wouldn't go more than 24 v 24 on them, otherwise you will see more zerging, which I hate! |
