I haven't started watching some of the newer anime that is coming out, but if you're waiting for episodes to come out and need something to fill the gap, I recommend watching Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere.
Some of the reviews say it's hard to follow, I'll admit they throw a swarm of characters in the beginning, but when you sort things out, I think it's easy to follow.
I recommended it in my list a few pages back.
Genres: action, fantasy, science fiction Themes: ecchi, fanservice, politics, school, war Objectionable content: Significant
copy pasted from animenewsnetwork
It came out a while ago, but still only has two seasons

I guess they're just trying to make what young Idols are supossed to look like, in the real life, being a young Idol is very hard in Japan and their careers can easily go down the mountain, like Lindsey Lohan but in a grupal scale.

Watching Infinite Stratos (I've been on a romcom roll for awhile. Just finished Zero no Tsukiyama and Shakugan no Shana (more action/rom though).)
I gotta say, Infinite Stratos can be funny, but their Facial Expressions are the greatest!

I have passed over that series every time because of this. is it any good? I'm not a huge romcom person but Ouran made me at least willing to give them a shot.
Ouran high school host club BTW, if you haven't, watch it. that series gets mah goat.

Got some moar!
- Log Horizon
- FLCL (AKA Fooly Cooly) (English dub)
- Steins;Gate (English dub)
I tried to come up with something to say about FLCL and Steins;Gate, but I couldn't get it down right. I'M SORRY! I'VE FAILED YOU!.. But then I realized I can just copy paste the summaries.
Steins;Gate wrote:Rintaro Okabe is a self-proclaimed GÇ£mad scientistGÇ¥ who believes that an international scientific organization named SERN is conspiring to reshape the world according to its own interests. He and his friend Itaru Hashida inadvertently create a gadget able to send messages to the past. The discovery and experimentation of this instrument become the catalyst of fundamental alterations to the present. Okabe is the only one aware of these changes because he possesses a Reading Steiner, the ability to retain the memories from previous experienced timelines. Oblivious of the consequences of their actions, Rintaro and his friends end up creating modifications of grievous proportions. He must then try to find a way to return as close as possible to the original timeline in order to save his precious lab partners.
FLCL wrote:Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (although a little cynical), but when his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his brother leaves his homeless 17 year old girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi is sending mixed signals and advances to Naota, and he doesnGÇÖt know what to do about her. But to make matters worse, NaotaGÇÖs world is totally turned upside down when he is run over by a woman on a Vespa. During their first encounter, she hits him over the head with her guitar, which then causes a horn to grow out of his forehead. She calls herself GÇ£HarukoGÇ¥ and her presence changes NaotaGÇÖs life to even further insanity.

It's a shame that Log Horizon came after SAO, I know SAO is good but between the two, Log Horizon is the winner by far, and I'm comparing them because the two series shares a similar plot (for those who don't know) yet Log Horizon is much more complex and deep and sometimes it reminds me of EVE Online because of it's complexity.

It the plot was too similar lol The difference between the shows is the characters and how plot unfolds.
Sword Art Online characters are fan-heavy. They're well designed, cute, and lovable. Lots of emphasis on individuals. You can see characters go through both love and anguish - and you feel involved every minute of it. The actual show falls a part because of jumping time-lines, but the jumping stops when where the show gets the most interesting - so it can be forgiven for trying to get past all the earlier fluff. However, this takes away from the plot, as it's easy to tell the writers want you to focus on the main story - and not enjoy he incredible world that the show is built on.
Where as Log Horizon characters are more compact in diversity - the loss of anything constant other then the world toned down the characters growth, as they have nothing to fear. But since the show has no focus on mortality - it put A LOT OF FOCUS ON PLOT. But it has the same failings of SAO - just not as noticeable. The early plot is fluff and introductions, in an attempt to create the sense of 'evil genius with good intentions' on the main guys part. SAO does this as well - but the time-line jumps are just waaaay too noticeable.
When matched up - SAO wins. Simply because character progression is more to behold in SAO then Log Horizon - where there's almost none. Log Horizons story may be better - but enjoying the story and being engulfed by the characters in it are two different things - and characters are what make a story for me.
You can have the worst plot in history - awesome characters make up for it. Example: FLCL
But seriously - go watch Log Horizon. It's last few episodes were damn. :3

Yeah, the show has really taken off in the last few episodes. Plot is great in my opinion, and the characters DO have something to fear in this world (It was revealed in episode 14 I think), in which game death has a unique consequence. Not a huge one at first, but one that has consequences over time. You don't want to just die willy nilly.
I'll hold off on saying which one is better until Season 1 finishes.
Also: Obligatory

You're not going to regret it! also, everyone knows that the source material of a series (being a LN or VN) is far more better than an anime or manga adaptation, just look at Highschool DXD for example, epic LN's right there.

Don't know if anyone had mentioned this one, but Sora no Otoshimono is one my favorites.
It's an ecchi comedy about a high school boy (of course) finding Angelic androids and then becoming his slave. He wants them to be free, but an actual angel wants them for himself so he sends more Angels to kill them, but they end up in the kid's harem.
It's pretty funny and about to end with the upcoming movie. The manga JUST ended this week and there will be an extra chapter being released in the future. |

Soul Eater barely got an 8/10 for me, but I still re-watch it every october. It's the best halloween anime yet.
Also, I'm going to watch DRRR! and Madoka Magica in between Log Horizon Episodes. (Those shows will be watched in that order, DRRR first and then Magica)
Anyone want to tell me what kind of ride I'm in for without spoiling anything?
