Right then, down to business. Since "waifu" is too big of an option, we will have to narrow down the waifu aspects but I don't want to narrow down to a specific anime with the best waifu to choose from (too limited) so I thought we could do age restrictions, eg under 18 and over 18 (it sounds ridiculous yes but most female protagonist are under 18 - high school settings are the most popular anime setting after all) loli and no loli (yes i know what you're thinking, lolicons do exist). I guess there will be a box that you can suggest waifus and I'll (or whoever is in charge of the poll) will add it up. I also think there should be more than 1 vote (1 waifu never is enough ( -í-¦ -£-û -í-¦) ). Maybe we could separate them between each year and we could have 1(+) vote for each year. Should i put the poll here in a separate topic? One last thing before I open this up for suggestions, is this a poll to see dust (player's) favorite waifu? I got a lot of other stuff I want to discuss but can't remember it all.

My waifu's are Luo Tianyi (my favorite of her stuffs its a duet between an actual person & a vocaloid and its quite good), Hong Meiling, Tei Inaba and Marisa Kirisame... I don't think I have any waifu's from actual anime.

My waifu will always be Holo from Spice and Wolf.

A loli waifu would probably be like Hina from Hayate the Combat Butler.

and other would be IA - the vocoloid <3

In all honesty, I was excluding Holo from mine on purpose.

She really is damn near perfect.

I doubt Holo could cook or clean to save her life - and managing a house with kids would probably drive her up a wall.

But she really is amazing.

Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!? (Invaders of the Rokujyoma!?)

On his own and entering high school, Satomi finds an apartment to live in for an unbelievably low price...but there's a catch. An accident at work and a chance encounter with a mysterious woman awaken Satomi to the world around him--first off, there just happens to be a ghost that shares his apartment! As if that wasn't enough, aliens, magical cosplayers and subterranean people all descend on his apartment, each with their own plans and reasons for why the apartment has to belong to them. But at a price this low, will Satomi be willing to give up his new home?

As a harem comedy, this show was pretty sweet. I initially watched the first episode before going to work a few days ago and was pretty "meh." I decided to give it another shot and was hooked; the characters are all likeable and not overly-dramatic. You won't find a whole bunch of emotional "Why do I suddenly feel this way/Why is my heart racing?" angst--instead, you get simple storylines in which the girls discover feelings (I'd hesitate to go so far as calling it "romantic feelings") for the MC, all of which hint at an underlying story of how Satomi is linked to each one of them. There's obviously much more at play here but, alas, we don't get to discover that over the course of these 12 episodes.

Satomi, as an MC, is very likeable and relatable. This isn't your standard "boy loves all the girls!" harem show; Satomi has his eyes set on one woman (who also happens to be very likeable) and the actions he takes for the other girls are done out of simple kindness. He wants to be a good person and help the people that he grows to care deeply about.

Animation is solid, the characters are all attractive and there's a decent amount of comedy to keep things light-hearted. No nudity or ecchi, really.

Definitely worth a watch.

lets be honest here, who wouldn't want to see an OVA of holo trying to do those things? it would be absolutely hilarious, i can just imagine Laurence seeing the impending meltdown coming and desperately try to escape before it happens.

Anyways, if I had to pick someone to marry from anime, I already know who it would be.

Ciel from Tsukihime.

Resourceful, headstrong and caring. More than willing to ruin someones day if they p*ss her off. Can be silly and playful while still being able to turn dead serious if the matter requires it. I can live with the negatives. Curry would get old quick, but I actually like Indian cuisine from time to time.

Second place is Hisui, once again from Tsukihime (I actually like Tsukihime's setting and characters far more than Fate).

I'm not a big fan of the maid outfit 24/7, but I'm also not her master so that shouldn't be an issue. Extremely supportive, if a doormat at times. Can't cook for sh*t, but that's cool, I can take care of that. I mainly like the extremely supportive side, its nice to know that someone has your back no matter what you decide. And she's cute :3

Reasons why I didn't choose other people in Tsukihime:

Arcuied is a DITZ. Dear god, shes a blondie who acts like a princess and always has to have her way. God forbid you ever dump her after dating her. She'd probably kill you. Aloof to the extreme and totally not my type.

Akiha can go f*ck herself, I've already got one assertive older sister, I sure as hell don't need two.

Kohaku is off the list for spoiler reasons. Play the VN kiddos.

Tsukihime is fantastic, however the art of DATED AS F*CK. Power through it. The story carries itself after awhile. It also isn't voiced, and Nasu himself has apologized for the nude scenes. They're really bad. Really. Still, the setting and plot are simply amazing, with a much darker storyline compared to fate. The running themes in the novel are MADNESS AND INSANITY.

You'll get that reference once you read the novel. It really is fantastic. 8.5/10 by itself, if the remake updates the art and gets rid of stupid sex scenes, it'll get its much deserved 9.5/10 for me.

I really don't dig the concept of Waifu's, because I'm of the opinion that the perfect woman doesn't exist. There will always be flaws.

I don't think there is a perfect woman... You could describe a woman but that woman would only be an ideal woman, not a perfect one. Ie super beautiful, kind, all that spice and everything nice stuff... But ideals are ideals, ideals aren't reality. In reality, nothing perfect exists... If I asked you what a "perfect" thing is, could you come up with an answer(everything has flaws)? Thats why I say nothing perfect can exist if you there is no perfect thing in the first place. I've never seen something perfect before so I don't know/can't think of anything that is perfect. I don't believe that even fiction can create something "perfect". Wait a sec... I think i forgot the purpose of this quote and when on and on about BS. Well anyway waifus don't have to be perfect because something perfect doesn't exist and not even fiction can do anything about it. Waifus just have to be the type of person you would like as it is your waifu.

I was going off the definition I've heard over the years.

Which is that a Waifu is that persons literal perfection. Waifu can do no wrong. Waifu must be pampered, she deserves it. I don't think unclean thoughts about Waifu, she is perfect and pure.

THIS CHAIR is actually a bit memetic among Tsukihime fans. The scene with the chair is actually a VERY good scene showing the depths of a certain persons madness and insanity.
