When Rattati fixes the dispersion on the Assault HMG, that will help, as it will give us a chance to get out and get some fresh air, rather than hunkering down inside buildings all the time.
I feel the HMG damage is a bit low now, but that is such a fine line to balance.
Overall, the popularity of the different suit sizes/classes is fairly close to where I feel it should be. The majority of players should be in Assault suits. Sentinel and Scout should be specialty roles.
I am thinking that we might see some placeholder Amarr/Gal weapons by late summer, which will be interesting.

Late winter for me lol. And I agree with you that Sents and scouts should be a specialty role. One thing that irritated me was the amount of people using Sents as an I Win Button, brought the Sentinel community down IMHO.
As for going outside and getting fresh air... I'm pretty sure that most of us will spontaneously combust due to the fact that we are spending all our time inside. I like my cave.

Played around with the AHMG a little bit, movement increases the rate at which dispersion tightens. These guns are hilariously OP, they still lose at close quarters in a damage race, but they're pretty deadly lethal at range.

Assuming that the AHMG buff is a reduction to dispersion, then I will be very Happy! It will be nice to have a tool for every job, in the Sentinel toolbox.
I have not had as big an issue with Remotes as some people. Probably because having written the guild, I get very embarrassed when I die to one , so I have become very good at spotting them. If this nerf involves reducing the range they can be thrown, that would be good. I don't see them being Frisbeeed very often, but when they are they are devastating. Also, I am wondering if the delay after deployment before they can be activated is really as long as it is supposed to be. I have seen RE deployed and started running before it even hits the ground and still fail to get clear of the blast radius before it goes off. Hared to say for sure, as it is hard to tell if they may have been set off by friendly fire, but it has happened several times.
Edit: Actually you posted while I was just starting to read your Warloard 1.1 post, so let me finish reading that, and I might edit this post.
Edit 2: Ah, I was right! RE activation delay is bugged. I know it!

Just did a full match with it on my ADV Gal Suit. Went 20/5/6 KDR of 3.33 with 1263 WP.
That has been my average all night with the Standard variant. So I would have to say that I love it. It hold its own at range and can still handle the CQC situations vs scouts as well as a formidable weapon in Sentinel Duels.
I do fear, however, that this could be easily made into an OP weapon.
Edit: will do more matches to collect more data.

Quote:Assault HMG now starts high, ends low, reduced in scope, inverted, effective above 40 meters What does this actually mean? Is this saying that the Dispersion rate starts high and reduces as you continue to shoot? Does "reduced in scope" mean reduced dispersion or is it referencing something else? "effective above 40 meteres" sounds promising!

Thank you! I haven't used the AHMG since the buff, but I agree that it should be able to hit the broad side of a barn. Having been a heavy, I eat them up because they know that at 30 meters, I own them with the CR.
I would also say to reduce the dispersion on the burst HMG and simply reduce the ammo in the hopper. That or take down the overheat. No one runs those anymore. If someone is running it still, let me know how you use it, because I used to love it as my fellow heavy combat tool. Now you have to use the boundless or AHMG and the burst is just an over heating ammo hog that can't hit anything. Too much risk for the reward. Thanks for helping out the heavies, the last nerf, plus buff hurt.
You won't see heavies in LAVs but you will now see 1 or 2 on the bridge with AHMG pushing back the waves, just as they were intended. Heavies are team anchors and really need to be the bricks they were intended to be.
Reducing the RE frisbee and the raining myo REs will be huge in PCs. In common matches you didn't see this as badly. Instead you get more of the RE on the uplink, but that will happen.
From Logi, to Heavy, to Scout, now I am moving to ADS. Please stop balancing!

Second Match Complete. 10/6/14 KDR of 0.7, 852WP.
Went against a full squad of Soul of YAMOTO. Two of them were using the new AHMG. They know the weapon more than me. One went 27/12 the other went 14/4.
This weapon is extremely powerful now and I did get to test the AV capabilities with it this match and it was effective. Noticed that we get WP for damaging vehicles now.
Also Gaden, the longer you fire the tighter it gets and it tightens extremely fast.

Crouching seems to tighten it (I haven't played around with that at all really, but I remember hearing reports that despite the reticule tightening a little, crouching actually did nothing for HMG's) but based on just the little bit of gameplay I've put in with it already, moving does make the AHMG tighten up faster.

I wouldn't mind one.
Anyway Third Match Complete (and final for my data gathering, bit lazy I know). 11/13/7 KDR of 1.57, 939 WP
Went against the same guys as the last match but took logi support with me. Played the range game in this one as well as used cover.
Conclusion: The recent buff has made the AHMG viable and powerful. In itself it is not too OP but has the potential to be OP. It can be used in CQC and Range but would advise using it in ranged encounters.
The AV capabilities are decent, no where near a proto swarm or fg but can still get you some decent amount of WP. Combine them with AV nades for effect.
My Opinion: This is a variant that I want to get good with.

I created a chat channel called Ze Bastion.
There was already a channel called GÇ£The BastionGÇ¥ which was created by EVE characters. The description you see EVE side indicates that The Bastion is a Bar n Grill, and the channel has no password, so we could probably crash that channel and make it our own if you wanted.
The big difference is that my EVE character has moderator privileges on Ze Bastion, while The Bastion channel belongs to someone else.
There was no one else in The Bastion channel before Downtime, but there might be EVE players in there at Prime Time, or the channel may be old and abandoned.
Which channel do you think we should use?

So far I have only got to play one match since the Hotfix to test out the AHMG, and it was the 5 point research facility map, so not the appropriate map to use the AHMG on, but good enough to get a feel for it.
I have to say, I like it!
Of course if I was not specifically trying to test the AHMG I would have switched to a different HMG for that map. It is definitely not what you want to use vs a Cal Sent and his Boundless in CQC, so I died a lot, but I did manage to get into a few running ranged fights and I loved it.
After one match it is too early to say for sure, but it did not seem OP to me. You have to aim carefully, and I overheated a number of times, so there is definitely some skill involved. It will take further testing to determine if Rattati got the balance right, but if it is overbalanced it does not feel anywhere near what the Burst HMG felt like when it was first reworked.
So far I am happy. Chose your tool for the job at hand.

Basic assault HMG does not have increased efficiency vs vehicles, which makes me sad. Still quite a good gun, I was having problems getting it to work on my minmatar alt though. I think that the assault HMG is prettymuch just caldari / amarr territory as they have the recovery to sustain it and minmatar should probably stick to standard/burst variants where they can use their speed to get up close.
