361. (Request) "Mass Driver" Artillery Turrent for Tanks - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
I like the idea of a self propelled mortar . That could fire from cover and thus evade rail guns. That could come in with anti-HAV aircraft to keep things balanced.

363. [ Proposal ] Gunship - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
Fixed guns on a dropship would be near worthless as it rarely points its nose at a target. I suppose you could exchange the camera look function on the right stick for a gun elevation/depression control and use X to fire. The pilot would then use...

364. [ Proposal ] Gunship - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
I like it, but if you do it right two crew members will make it far more powerful than a solo craft. The pilot and gunner could concentrate solely on heir task rather than divide their attention.

365. Small Railguns: Very Broke! - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
I equipped proto rails on my DS to try tank hunting. It was complete bust, and that was several weeks ago when they were weaker. Missiles might work better, but I'm reluctant to invest in them again after being burned once. Now I'm waiting for la...

366. Swarm Launchers too slow - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
The SL is a no-skill weapon. It doesn't pit my flying skill against your ability to track and maintain a lock. You just aim in my general direction and pull the trigger, then hide. If there is a no-skill weapon in a skill based game, there needs ...

367. Swarm Launchers too slow - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
It doesn't require any skill, I can teach a six year old with poor eye/hand coordination to effectively use a SL. Noting that a dropship is within range doesn't take any skill if you aren't sure you can always read the range off your weapon. Not g...

373. [Request] Lasers for ... vehicles - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that lasers and dropships were meant for each other. Their strengths and weakness are perfectly matched. Dropship weakness: Maintaining target contact. Laser strength: You don't need to maintai...

After watching a video of a Visam user today I am convinced that laser turrets are the perfect weapon for dropships. The key difference is that lasers deal damage based on time-on-trigger, not time-on-target. It's difficult to keep a blaster tra...

376. (Feedback) Dropship fragility - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
CCP coats dropships in explosive paint. Rub a building or lamp post and you will ignite it and the ship will burn instantly. You may be able to tank flight after flight of swarm missiles or a couple FG rounds, but you can't survive a rub on the p...

379. Swarm Missies are faster than a DS on AB - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
Like I said, I'm fine with swarm missiles flying faster than a DS under AB if I have another way to counter them. The more powerful the weapon, the more important it is that there be a solid counter to it. So let's look at the SL. It has a free ...

380. Request an urgent fix for tanks - in Feedback/Requests [original thread]
It is simple, but CCP messed it up. Throw the stick right, but a tiny bit forward and you turn right. Throw the stick right, but a tiny bit rearward and you back up left. Or at least that's what I remember from the time I spent tanking. It made ...
