How about, instead of auto hacking, it would just allow you to hack from a remote location, after placing it? A scout could sneak in, place the codebreaker, sneak out, and hack with less of a chance for people to kill them when trying to react to ...

Once, I jumped out of an MCC and the lag more or less stopped me from using the dampener. SOMEHOW, I landed on ground just barely high enough that I survived with a sliver of armor left.
