Hmm after thinking a bit more on the topic. Maybe moving the current proficiency skill to the operation skill and change the proficiency to 3% damage (like with any other light weapon) could work as well. What Do you think?

I do like the changes you suggest, the only thing that needs added is the correct range profile (short). On the Clipsize yes it should be that way but only if you adjust the Clipsize of all the other automatic weapons as the AR would fall behind...
