I'm just waiting for deployable shields. They will make a lot of the meta change. I think they will mean that you will have to close distance to kill whatever is inside and a bigger buffer should mean better ability to kill.

I want clarification because this will matter much more as people are fighting in the reduced damage range of their falloffs. It will be easier to sustain that damage, but unpredictable timers will be frustrating.

But it isn't clear how exactly both timers work. When and what kind of damage resets each timer? If you take damage to armor does that reset the shield delays? Which one would it reset? How does the server 'see' damage? If you get 'hit' by 4 ...
