well thankfully I got caldari assault and gallente logi so maybe I'll be ok either way but still that seems cray
oh and a flux still hurts the 200-300 shield we have 2 xero. they still do 100% damage to us as well bruh. But..they don't kill you ever. Name one time you got killed by a flux. Overall we all know locus do more damage to armor and most people run them because with a core you do 600 to a shield user and like 780 to armor or some combination with no drawbacks..flux you can't kill a guy thats overwatch on you where you cant shoot them. Locus you can. Flux's aren't contact, fused are OP as hell.

Tweak it by making minmatar scout a meta lv 7 for starters then add more CPU an g an at least one more slot either high or low! The caldari logi assault load outs are going to continue beat us like red headed step children in a bad marriage , help that mini scout suit my friend it's got like a maximum 450 hp barley if you skill everything max that's proto! wrong. Caldari logi's shield delay is not 10 seconds. neither is epleted recharge delay, furthermore unless it was fixed in 1.2 shields regen after the respective delay after the first shot is registered so if you got hit at second :30 and you continued to get hit during seconds :31-35 you can still begin recharging shields at second :36 if you recharge delay is 6 seconds. as opposed to delaying it 6 seconds each time it's hit. and of course you would talk about reppers...cause people actually use often huh, they only get used on heavies in pc matches cause you reppers don't heal as much as the dps you'd lose by not shoooting at the guy that's shooting you? |

So the solution to armour tanking is to shield tank? Yeah, in the other thread he instantly fell back on shields being the main advantage of armour.
Is also disregarding the possibility of plates on a shield tanker. Yes, armour suits can fit shields, likewise shields can fit armour.
Overlooking that while Flux can make shield-tanks practically dead, Locus can make armour-tanks actually dead (they also have less mobility to evade). |

This statement would be reassuring if there wasn't a HUUUUUGGGGGEEEE thread, in feedback, that was here long before 1.2, with excellent player feedback, then we get ferroscale, reactive and they get another boost....

The Infected One wrote:Crash Monster wrote:It's a freaking recharge rate... get a grip! It's not JUST a recharge rate. My Caldari assault already regenerates shields at 31.5/pulse, with a single complex energizer (60%) it recharges at 50.4/pulse. Dropping one complex extender in place of this gives me 480 shields (6% base less, didn't do math on that, but its negligible) and 2 complex regulators letting my shields start recharging 2 sec after taking cover, I get my shields back after 9.5 pulses. At an average of 2 pulses/sec that's 4.7 sec from 1 shield remaining to full strength. Even as an assault player with less shields than a CalLogi I can see that its broken. Sure you can flux me, but with the regulators its still only 5 sec before my shields start coming back. Its WAY faster than anything you can have for armor without a Logi repping you. The Ferroscale plates should at least give 80 armor at complex level to even try to compete with this, and the reactive plates need a higher regen speed for the amount of armor they give and speed penalty. I'm dropping my recharger and adding an energizer tonight for sure, rechargers are useless now.
Let's get sane here for a moment.
Shields are generated... they are EM... armor is physical. It's a plate of armor. As long as you actually have a shield generator I'd imagine you can generate EM easier than you can construct and repair new armor plates. As another has stated, when you start getting resists on your armor you'll see an improvement via another means.

Want to know how good these are take your base shield recharge rate multiply 1.6 there you go with 2 there a penalty that make that 1.6 into 1.3904 so you multiply that by the base to. If base is 100 then this make it 199. This seem good but you have to be out of combat and if you left to recharge your shield then you need extenders not rechargers. |

Cat, remember, you doubted them when it came to 1.2 being good as well, I'm sure they're trying to figure out how to balance the two without nuking shields or steroiding armor. Remember the Laser Rifle? I do, that's what happens when they "Balance" something without taking time to look at it. |

The problem with armor is suits not having a constant repair rate. Every suit should have at least 10 hp/s repair rate imo, except heavies. Heavies not because you don't want to take away the logibro's job. If anything it should be very low, while scouts having the highest (like 15 hp/s). Let's be honest how many logibros have you seen repairing medium suits? Dependency on armor repairers is what makes armor inferior in all ways to shields, because they take 1 low slot. While you're at it, buff them and move them to high slot.

N1ck Comeau wrote:Guys. It's the rate of recharge. If your shields go down. Still 10 seconds where they are down. it's just more shields will comeback per recharge i guess you could say. At total depletion recharge delay is 10 sec, prior to the 25% from assault role buffs, and that's assuming you're not running the Cal Assault suit which has a base of 8.
Rate of recharge isn't that big a deal in a sustained firefight as it won't really be a factor (once all the bugs are resolved) but if you are slower than your opponent it becomes a big deal because that's how much more HP they've gained than you after they duck behind cover or around a corner, recharge delay on a Cal Assault that's not totally shield depleted is 5 seconds. That means with 7 seconds and the Complex shield energizer the Cal Assault player has regenerated 80 HP so it's not a trivial amount.
What I want to know is does the -6% shield HP (for complex) come off the base dropsuit stats or total fitting stats because this will make a rather large difference in the actual power and balance of the mod. -6% off the fitting value is a much bigger drawback than -6% off the stats of the base suits (for some suit types more than others).
Download finally done, time to get reading on the new mods in game!

You will want the Energizers once the shield regen timing gets fixed. (For those of you that don't know, shield regen timer starts after first shot. They will be fixing it to start counting after last shot taken.)

If you're referring to Logi's being better at Assault roles given their crazy high number of slots and CPU/PG might I suggest you consider making two types of high/low slots. Make it similar to how a Side arm fits in a Light slot, and give the Logi's the Side arm type slots. Then you could restrict some items to just the Assault/Scout/Heavy dropsuits. Just as an example, you could consider making the Complex Shield Extenders require the higher type of slot so Logi's couldn't use them and shield tank to the same extent while still giving them lots of slots to fit the type of gear they should be using as a Logi.
That's my two cents, for whatever it's worth... |

Edit: Oh, and they don't require any skills! *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* Not requiring any skills is ******. I personally dont think this sheild mod is much of an advantage, your sacrificing a slot to reduce your sheilds. I would much rather use a proto sheild recharger for the 43% recharge over loosing sheilds this is an infaintry mod, right? If the penalty only affects base shields, it is an unnecessary buff to logi classes that have lower HP. You gain 50% over a complex recharger at the cost of only what... <10 HP. Even if it affects total shield HP including modules, you only lose the benefit cal logis gain from racial bonus.
Even as an avid defender of the Cal Logi, this is ******* OP, is going to cause immense amounts of butthurt, and I haven't even finished d/ling the update yet. |
