AR is jack of all trades master of none. All other weapons outdo it when used properly. For example, a LR can gloss over me with 550HP and insta kill me, just like that. Sniper rifles can OHK me with a headshot, or damage me very badly in the body...

You don't even need to do a burst. Tap the R1 button and continue firing normally. Oh and I got confirmation not too long ago on IRC that they tweaked weapon recoil slightly for Uprising.
