Eh proto weapons are like 10% better than advanced for like 400% the cost. They really aren't worth it in pub matches at all. It will maybe be 1 less hit to kill. Certain exceptions include snipers, forge guns and mass drivers.

Fix radar so lavs can't sneak up on people and it'd be fine. There's no reason hav and lav shouldn't be on radar 100% of the time. That or make AV less boring so folks actually use it. Swarms suck and nobody wants to be super slow to use forge.
