It's everything the other ecchi show claimed to be with the perfect sort of plot to go with it. It's a bit awkward how the MC has tendencies to be a lying pos, but everything else is just funny as hell.
The show has great pacing, set up by the Underground Student Council and there plot against the inmates. The show is like some twist on a murder mystery, but instead of figuring out how they did it, they're trying to figure out how to make it work.
Throw in sex jokes galore and borderline hentai scenes - you got one of the best show this season.
And the last 2 minutes after the last episode credits - I WANT TO SEE THAT !!! :3
Guess this'll be my next watch for today. I'll be sure to give my review in seven hours or so.

Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (Everyday Life with Monster Girls)
10/10
Ecchi/Comedy/Harem/Ecchi/Ecchi/Ecchi/Ecchi
Plot: Three years prior to the start of the show, Japan was introduced to the fact that various monster species are real. Kimihito is a Regular Joe that suddenly finds himself participating in the Cultural Exchange program by accident: the beautiful Agent Smith shows up at his residence one day alongside the shy Miia, a Lamia (half woman/half snake) and puts her under his care to help foster understanding between humans and monsters. Taken by his kindness towards her, Miia falls in love with Kimihito and wants nothing more than to take to their relationship to the "next level." Unfortunately for the pair, such an act would violate the law and would result in his arrest and her deportation. Miia's frustration only builds as it's not long before a Harpy, Centaur and other various female monsters soon find their way into Kimihito's home...and heart! Can Kimihito survive their constant advances, or will he give in to temptation and break the law?
Theme: Humanity, and what it means to be a "human." As I stated elsewhere, any story that involves monsters is actually a critique on the human condition. Scarily, you can also draw parallels to racism and the Civil Rights movement of the '60s.
This show was a total blast. Even with the censored version, the ecchi is over-the-top ridiculous; in this case, though, it actually serves as a function of the plot--poor Kimihito constantly finds himself in highly-charged erotic situations but is powerless to take action, lest he harm the girls (watch the show and you'll understand why I'm referring to them as girls and not monsters) and put the Cultural Exchange program in jeopardy. The comedy comes fast and furious and is surprisingly intelligent at times. A lot of thought was given to the characters; for example, Miia has to deal with shedding her skin. Centaurs must deal with the fact that they're rather large (and not just the horse part of their body) making it difficult to move around in confined areas. Or how harpies lay eggs. The most interesting one, though, is the mermaid character and how the tale of The Little Mermaid has shaped her outlook on love (we're not talking about the Disney movie, but the actual fairy tale.) Each major character comes to the show with a sense of innocence and it's interesting to watch as they interact with the world around them, even as "humans" constantly belittle and try to take advantage of them. This show makes it very clear who the true "monsters" really are.
Like any good harem comedy, Kimihito finds himself surrounded by beautiful women with surprising ease...though the girls of this show are far more aggressive in their pursuits than in any other show I've watched. And when the prospect of a marriage is dangled before them...poor Kimihito, he may not survive to see his own wedding day.
Animation is excellent and the characters are surprisingly cute (as far as faces go.) Music isn't of particular note. Loads upon loads of ecchi, and the uncensored version promises plenty of nudity in the future.
Verdict: One of the best shows I've seen. Ecchi that is put to good use, plenty of lol moments and just the right amount of sweetness all come together in a great 12 episode run. Definitely hope for more in the future!
For the Record: Agent Smith. My God, her voice alone...

Going to wait for the uncensored version of Prison School; I can't stand so much "lens flare" action.
Re-wind Review:
Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru! (My Little Sister is Among Them!) Uncensored version
Updated score: 8/10 Original score: N/A (I called it "decent")
Surprised at how much I liked this show the second time around, much more than the first time. I didn't enjoy the whole "let's make everyone act like a little sister" spiel the first time I watched it...but watching it again, I can honestly state that this was done more tongue-in-cheek as a pointed jab at the whole brother/sister complex genre of anime. I couldn't stand the MC originally, but I've changed my opinion of him. He's actually pretty sharp at picking up what's going on around him but chooses to play his cards close to the vest for the most part. Much of my enjoyment from this watching stems from knowing all of the plot twists beforehand and appreciating how the story tellers manage to constantly keep you guessing, while at the same time picking up on all of the little clues that hint at the big reveal. Also, the added nipples in the uncensored version are a nice bonus.

10/10? Try 5/10. Generic as **** plot, characters may not look generic, until they open there mouths and fit a profile perfectly.
Agent Smith and the spider girl were the only decent characters in the show. An active theme of this show is if it's female - it's borderline ********.
Characters in this show aren't even close to being realistic - they're over-the-top, there looks often match there personalities with how far out there they are. I doubt thinking is much of an issue for these people, since they never do any of it. They look at something then go on an immediate anime cliche trope over it.

Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyokan (Sky Wizards Academy)
4/10
Fantasy/Action
Plot: Humanity has succumbed to an infestation of Devil Beetles and now takes refuge on floating cities in the sky. Powerful warriors known as Sky Wizards protect these cities from the encroaching magical insects. Kanata is a 16 year-old student at the local academy and once regarded as being an elite Sky Wizard, but now lives as an outcast with the nickname of "traitor" due to his refusal to take part in any more battles. One day, a former squad mate of his puts forth Kanata's name to serve as an instructor to the three 14 year-old girls that comprise team E601...a team that has lost every match it's participated in and is at risk of being expelled from the academy. Can Kanata teach the importance of working together as a team and overcoming their personal weaknesses, or will the losing streak continue? And will he ever answer why he no longer fights?
Theme: Women without a man = worthless.
An interesting premise for a show that ultimately goes nowhere. Kanata makes for an interesting MC in that he remains the cocky, self-assured protagonist that's always one step ahead of everyone else, even if he can no longer fight like he used to. The supporting cast, however, is rather bland and devoid of any truly interesting characters. For spending so much of the show focusing on E601 coming together as a team, there really doesn't seem to be much character growth. Most damning of all is the simple fact that the plot is entirely predictable.
Animation is above average. Characters aren't particularly attractive. Music is weird and unpleasant. A few ecchi moments with no actual nudity.
Verdict: Pass. If you want to see a badass protagonist, go watch Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero. Same voice actor. Hell, basically the same character!

Since they're both 2wei, and they haven't even touched on 3rei yet. Well, I guess since I'm a cheapo scrub I have to wait a whole week until I can fully review all of the season enders.
Oh, and I just watched the final episode of SAO's Mother's Rosario arc again since it's airing on Toonami as I type. Damn. Dayum. First time I ever cried at anime, and now I remember why. The Japanese VAs were better though. Maybe because I'm more used to them.

11eyes
6/10 (If you stop after episode 11) 4/10 (if you finish episode 12)
Supernatural/Psychological
Plot: Kakeru and his childhood friend, Yuka, are now high school students and trying to live regular lives, though Kakeru still struggles with the suicide of his older sister ten years ago. One night, as the pair are making their way into town to go shopping, they suddenly find themselves transported to a new world where the sky is red and a black moon hangs ominously above them. Upon returning to the real world, the friends dismiss the strange event as a bad dream...until they're forced backed into the "Red Night" and find themselves being chased by monsters. As their travels to and from the Red Night increase in frequency, the pair seeks out help from the few other people they meet in this terrifying reality and try to unravel the mystery of what is happening...
Theme: Sacrifice and what you're willing to give up in the name of happiness.
This review's going to be tricky, so I'll try to avoid as many spoilers as possible. A perfect case study of how a poor finale can really hurt the overall impact of a show, this show had the chance to take a vaunted place alongside Elfen Leid and Fruit of Grisaia as one of darkest shows around. Unfortunately for the viewer, they threw on a twelfth episode that tries to play too nice. Show also has a weird habit of trying to throw in some weak humor at times.
To be perfectly blunt, the characters pretty much suck. I couldn't stand Yuka by the end of the show and Kakeru isn't particularly interesting. This show is all about the plot twists and turns, and the steady progression into very dark themes as everything you think you know gets turned upside-down a little bit past the halfway point of the show.
Animation is fairly average, though some parts can get pretty gory (even by censored standards.) Girls are NOT cute at all, and Yuka is rather ugly. Music is exceptional. Scattered moments of ecchi (panty shots, mainly) with no actual nudity.
Verdict: If the dark tones don't scare you off, it's worth a watch as the mystery of what's going on is pretty interesting. However, I strongly advise pausing after episode 11 and asking yourself if you're satisfied with the story ending there; if you're not satisfied or find it too depressing, watch episode 12.

I need writers, graphic designers, movie makers, commentaries, opinions, I need it all. General John Ripper will likely be co-hosting this with me, and we'll be inviting guests to come give there opinions about shows, and guide dialogue a long to cover all the important basis in an anime review.
But passion is what will define us. I love anime, and my shows will ooze that love. So if anyone is willing to help, I could use it!
The first show I'll probably review is Six Flowers, but I'm undecided on how to start this all. Any ideas would be appreciated! :3 |

School Live is something that i am watching the last episode for right now...
3 days ago when i started the anime i didnt take all too much notice to the intro or read comments on the anime as i never read comments on anime anymore really. But after the first episode i was like "What the actual **** is wrong with this girl, what is ******* going on. she is crazy as ****" and i was sorta actually creeped out by the whole thing and sorta started to get on edge after that episode. Might have been cause i expected something completely different but im not gonna leave spoilers or nothing here cause I'm not a meanie.
anyway now after 11 episodes and more plot twists and adorable moments along with scary ones and alot of things that made me cry, I now Love Yuki (I believe is her name kinda not 100% sure but yeah the MC anyway) and I love the whole anime and honestly am ready to cry into my comfort teddy I have started sleeping with and watching anime with recently before I even watch the episode. (yes i have a teddy bear what of it. If I could pick up a anime plush or something like that lol maybe a kampfer plush XD i would use that but probably not cause i wouldn't want tears on it or anything anyway enough of my rant)
btw the anime is the definition of 'Don't judge a book by its cover' in a anime lol.

The first attempt will be an episode by episode review of upcoming shows. Starting with Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers. I'll be tearing down this first episode for it's production value, entertainment value, character foundations, and setting foundations.
I give the first 3 episodes of each show this kind of attention. Where does your show start, how are the characters when it begins, what happens to get them involved, and why does it have to be them.
After breaking down the why's to the show, I'll be talking next about the characters individually. If it got a name in a show - then he's worth bringing up. Anime are built entirely upon characters and how they interact and grow - there's never been a setting strong enough on it's own to make up for poor characters.
How characters are diagnosed:
Design Likability Growth Interaction with others Screen Time
Are they cute and or easy on the eyes? Do they add anything to the show or take away? Do they ever learn, listen, and accomplish anything? Is there interaction with the rest of the cast believable? And did he/she get enough air time to flesh him/her out or ruin her/him further?
After setting and characters are labelled and explained, then we get to the episode summery and wether or not the target audience would be interested in this show, and wether or not you'll be interested in this show based on several different tastes.
For example, because Rokka has a murder mystery like theme 4 episodes in with dark under-tones, you may enjoy Go-Sick, but if you liked the show for it's visuals and intensity, you may want to try out The Legend of Arsland.
Opinions and or concerns/help would be appreciated. I'm basically going to be constantly firing in the dark hoping a spark lights and takes hold. |

Fristname Family name wrote:too late watching Kimi-ni-Todoke which apparently is a girls anime from the genres but lol dont care and it was on my list i gotta clear so why not... also 100+ eps isnt my style so hunter can wait untill after i clear my list. but is it good anyway? Kimi Ni Todoke?
I loved it.
Besides the school Idol, none of that cast is generic enough to cause issue to your viewing pleasure. The shows pacing does a wonderful job in letting us watch the female MC grow as a person as she goes from one of the most disliked girls in school despite her good nature, to the saint of the school.
Fantastic watch, I may even re-watch it soon. Other shows like it: Blue Spring Ride, Say I Love You. |

I doubt there's anyone left in this Dust community we haven't forced to watch it.
We should force them to watch Madoka Magica next, it's way better :3 |

Overhyped, much like SAO.
Not bad, but nowhere near as good as everyone says.
