Goku's voice in Dub - perfect. Funny, awkward, yet serious.
Goku's voice in Sub - Die in a fire. Sounds like he's got a permanent special beam cannon stuck up his ass. lol
Vegeta in Dub - perfect. His serious tone matches his serious character amazingly, and that rough, croaky voice trying to soft and not blood lusting is great, lol.
Vegeta in Sub - Whose this whiney *****? Sounds like Goku punched him below the belt one too many times.
I am watching the new DBZ episodes - it's also just nothing is happening, at all. It's pretty funny how Goku takes the reward money to buy off chi chi, that seriously was funny. But they changed Velda or w/e her name was character design - she went from looking like she could handle herself in a fight while still looking elegant - to being just a small frail girl.

Grisaia no Kajitsu (The Fruit of Grisaia) Season 1:
9/10
Yuuji Kazami had only one request--to live a normal life by attending a normal high school. Yuuji ends up at Mihama Academy, where he discovers that the only other students there are 5 girls. Why are they there? Why was he sent here? And can the sins of the past remain buried, or will they come back to haunt everyone involved?
Right off the bat, let me say that genre descriptions such as "ecchi" and "harem" don't really fit with this show, nor does the expected power-fantasy tropes of an MC surrounded by damsels in distress; you're initially introduced to five of the basic female stereotypes in anime right off the bat--the vixen, the loli, the maid, the ditz and the tsundere. What sets Grisaia apart from other shows is that each girl is given a specific backstory that details why they are the way they are. And believe me...the backstories are very, very dark. Though there are moments of comedy to be found, the overall tone of the story is very mature in handling the impact of psychological trauma suffered at a young age. Maybe I'm just a wuss (I admit that, following the birth of my children, tears are much harder to keep hidden now) but some parts of the show can be very difficult to watch...particularly the story arch of the final four episodes.
Of particular interest to the show is the MC, Yuuji. He isn't a bumbling buffoon that wins over everyone with the sheer size of his heart--rather, he's a cold, calculated individual of immense power/strength and he has no qualms about doing whatever he must to accomplish his job at hand. Though he takes on the role of protector over his "harem," at no point in time is he trying to be a hero. He may not be able to express his feelings properly towards the girls around him (as a result of his character and background and NOT typical harem comedy tropes) but you can clearly sense his desire to help those that he cares about.
My only real complaint about the show would be the episodic nature of it all; namely, the story conveniently jumps from one character's struggles with who they are and on to the next. Instead of a singular story arch that runs from point A to point B with side stories being told as you go along, you instead get story A, followed by story B and so on. I view this as a negative due to the fact that, given that it's just these 6 people attending school together, it seems to treat each person as an entity separate from the group/harem. I would have liked to see how the group responded as a whole to the changes/revelations that are made with each character.
Animation is pretty good throughout, though some characters look odd. The show contains a surprising amount of nudity as well, though it isn't really done for comedic purposes as in most ecchi shows.
Absolutely loved this show and am getting ready to watch the rest of it!

Kanamemo An old one (2009), that I've put off for awhile. Boy do I regret it. This has got to be the funniest thing I have ever seen. Well, maybe not the funniest, but it's certainly up there. The comedy is just gold. It's not very well known so I'll give a short summary of the plot. Our MC, Kana, is an orphan who lives with her grandma. After her grandma dies repo men come to take everything away. Kana panics and runs away from home because she believes they'll take her away to. Homeless, she gets a job working for a newspaper that provides room and board.
It does fall into the "cute girls doing cute things" category, but it isn't a school anime. It actually follows her life as she delivers newspapers. The main cast is made up of seven girls: Kana, who's klutzy, ditsy, has quite the imagination, and overall *that* type of girl. You know what I'm talking about. Saki, the assistant chief, who just happens to also be in grade school. (Loli powers!) Haruka, a massive pervert who lusts after young girls. Hinata, a nice girl who's cheap, and has apparently failed her college entrance exams twice. Yume, a girl who likes sweet things, and is always energetic and happy. Yuuki, a tall, quiet, smart girl, who just happens to be Yume's girlfriend. (Yasss yuri!!!) Mika, The tsundere queen. Even better? She's voiced by the same VA who did Taiga from ToraDora. Every single one of the cast is actually well rounded out. Even though they do fall into certain tropes I immensely enjoyed the cast.
It's pretty plot light as would be expected of this type of show, but the progression is very nice. A few of the episodes pick of right where the last one left off. Also, despite the show being a comedy it has it's touching moments. The feels actually blindsided me, and that's what sets it apart from a lot of other comedies. It allowed it to transcend merely being something amazingly funny, to being something that's amazing.
If nothing else, watch it for episode 4. Episode 4 is absolutely stunning.

Grisaia no Meikyuu (The Labyrinth of Grisaia) Grisaia no Rakuen (The Eden of Grisaia)
7/10
Yuuji's dark, tortured past is brought to light as the main villain plots to take Yuuji under his wing once more; in a role reversal from the first season, can the girls summon the strength necessary to save him?
The 2nd "season" OVA acts as a prequel and serves as the "origin" story of Yuuji, as all of the pain, abuse and heartache he suffered are brought to light in cold, unflinching detail. It's a tough watch but ultimately rewarding (though the deal with him and his sister is a little hard to swallow, for obvious reasons.)
The final season begins by detailing how Yuuji was able to transform from an emotionally-dead killer into the protagonist that we know. Unfortunately, those 3 or 4 episodes are the high point of the season (in my opinion.) As Yuuji finds himself in danger, the focus shifts to the girls (and a couple more harem contenders, of course) and their efforts to save him. It's a bit jarring to watch as the show suddenly bounces around in a light-hearted tone given everything that has already transpired. The ending is satisfying, if not entirely predictable (though the very last scene adds a humorous twist to events.) My biggest complaint is that we only get to briefly experience watching Yuuji in full-on killer mode as he largely takes a backseat for half of the final season.
Interesting to note that actual nudity is concealed in these seasons--including blurring out flashback scenes from the first season--while still keeping the panty shots and other ecchi staples.
I hate to say it, but this is a show that probably would have been better off stopping after the first season. The follow-ups aren't bad at all...they just can't rise to the same level of the incredible first season, and sometimes it's not a bad thing to leave certain questions unanswered instead of trying to fill in every plot hole (while overlooking the simple question of, "How old is this guy, anyway?!")

Kampfer
2/10
Kampfers exist only to fight. Girls that possess magical abilities granted to them by colored bracelets, Kampfers are drawn to each other for the sole purpose of battling until one side/color emerges victorious...but why are they here? Why must they fight? And why has the male Natsuru been given the power of a Kampfer? What wackiness can occur when one person has to live the life of both a boy and a girl at the same time?!
This show sucked, plain and simple. An interesting premise that ultimately goes absolutely nowhere, the show is an ecchi-heavy harem comedy that lacks compelling characters and suffers from an infuriating MC; Natsuru is so dense and stubborn that it's all but impossible to find any redeeming qualities about him. Instead of going into detail about Kampfers and their history, the show spends about 90% of its time trying to put Natsuru into compromising positions in feeble attempts at comedy. Honestly, you could watch the first episode or two and then skip to the final three and not missing anything of significance towards the actual "plot."
Animation is somewhat crude by today's standards, but the girls are fairly attractive. Despite the heavy emphasis on ecchi, actual nudity is limited to backsides. Should also note that the female Natsuru's voice becomes grating to listen to quite early on.
Only recommended for masochists.

So... I'll take part in the review game. Someone suggest me some stuff, and I'll suggest them a few. I'm in between anime right now anyway. I'll start by giving some suggestions: Love, Chuunibyo, and Other Delusions: My number one anime of all time. A great watch. Tags: Comedy, Slice of life.
Kanamemo: A hidden gem, and insane in the best way possible. Tags: Yuri, Comedy, Slice of life.
Girls Und Panzer: Title says it all. Tags: Tanks!!!! (Comedy)
A Certain Magical Index: A great anime with a spinoff. My suggestion would actually be to watch this one up to the Sisters arc, then go back and watch both seasons of A Certain Scientific Railgun, and skip Index's Sisters arc. I actually prefer Railgun, but Index takes the story further. Personally I believe this show has the best world of any anime I've ever seen. Tags: Action, Comedy.
Some stuff I want to clarify first: I only watch stuff on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Netflix. I don't watch Hentai. I don't really like harem stuff. I really like slice of life. Generally it's classified as seinen.
Which segues nicely into my next question. What sites do you use to watch anime? I might want to expand to more, but want to make sure the stuff is safe.

and I watched Index exactly as you did and agree - Rails a more interesting character. Do as this man suggest, the series is better for it.
shows i suggest (all from console streamers) - Kaichou Wa Maid Sama - An all males school turns co-ed, inspiring a hard working girl who wants to make improvement to help the girls adapt to the once all boys school run for president. She wins, but life at home is rough, so she has to work a part time as a waitress in a shop in the next town. The Ambition of Oda Nobuna - A young man is suddenly sent to another world in a familiar setting where two samurai's fight. It's the time of Warring States era Japan, and Nobunaga Oda, is actually the beautiful and charming Nobuna Oda, daughter of the Oda clan. The man takes the role of Monkey, one of Oda's most famous advisors, and the man who goes on to unite japan. Visual are gorgeous. Tags: Action, Romance, Comedy, Moe, Altered History, Drama.
Dog Days - A dog with a knife suddenly opens a portal infront of our MC, a young athlete to the physical sports competitions. He's thrust into a world of animal-people, who are currently at war. He's come to rescue the dog kingdom from the cat kingdom that had abandoned there treaties and have taken there termites. Down to the last, they desperate seek the aid of a strong hero! Tags: Moe, Romance, Slice of Life, Action, Adventure, Comedy, Drama
Gugure kokkuri-san - A girl summons the fox spirit, Gugure, using an old urban legend. He appears, and asks what it is she wants to know. The girl throws salt and wards the evil spirit away, angerying the fox spirit, threatening to haunt her for her trickery. Unstunned, she continues. As he gets to know her, he feels pity for her, and moves in. Starting a pretty hilarious anime version of 2 and a half men. Tags: Comedy, Slice of Life, Yokai |

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 My most favorite gundam series and one of the best gundam shows out there. The show deals with the ideals on peace, conflict and all that stuff. I would say that the most interesting thing about this series is its MCs. The MCs are very unique I guess? Maybe different is the right word and the storyline/plot is overall great. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru Long titles for the win! Ah... The show brings back memories (good ones). I borrowed a comment "Hikigaya (the MC) has some great theories about being alone! I think this anime appeals best to loners, such as myself. I understand the things Hikigaya says, and even learned more about society. " I feel like this is enough description. The second season just aired and finished last season. The second season was a bomb shell of drama and feels. It is much more serious than its first season and because of it, it is much more realistic. I didnt put the genres here because the genres don't correctly portray the show at all.
Sola The sky sure is nice huh... The feels are coming back... I want to cry...

Seikon no Qwaser (Qwaser of Stigmata) Season 1
6/10
Adopted sisters find themselves placed smack-dab in the middle of a war between Qwasers--powerful beings that each possess the ability control an element--when they come to the aid of Sasha, the Iron Qwaser. Haunted by his past, Sasha seeks vengeance on those that destroyed his life and marked him as the Martyr. Can he control his rage long enough to protect those around him, or will his desire for vengeance consume him? As various sides draw together in search of a holy icon, who can be trusted?
Let's get this out of the way at the start: this is basically hentai minus any depictions of genitalia. Qwasers happen to draw their strength from the soma of women...in this case, soma just so happens to (basically) be breast milk. So, yeah...expect A LOT of close-ups of breasts/nipples/feeding...and we're not strictly talking male to female, either. Furthermore, breast size = soma quality, so I'm pretty sure you can figure out where much of the focus of this show lies.
Now, as to the story: I gave this season a slightly above-average score due to the fact that, fan service aside (you'll be pretty numb to it after the first couple of episodes, barring the *ahem* fountain scene towards the end of the season) there's an interesting story taking place that doesn't really come into play until the latter half of the 24 episodes. Characters are pretty generic outside of the loli/lesbian/sadist character, but the show does enough to keep things interesting by steadily building the looming threat posed to the main cast as the season builds to climactic finale.
Animation is rather plain and subdued--definitely not as vivid and colorful as more recent shows, but not bad. Quite a bit of bloodshed is spilled throughout the show. And boobs...lots and lots of boobs, of every shape and size (non-existent to grossly large) with the knock-on that many female characters aren't very cute to look at, which dampens things.
Seeing as to how I'm getting ready to start the second season, I have to admit that I'm actually really pleased with how the first season ended. I'm only hoping that the second season doesn't spoil the emotional high point of the season 1 finale, as the show would have had a great ending if a second season never took place.
So...an episode or two of season two and then it's off to dreamland...

Everything Dies wrote:Seikon no Qwaser (Qwaser of Stigmata) Season 1 6/10 Adopted sisters find themselves placed smack-dab in the middle of a war between Qwasers--powerful beings that each possess the ability control an element--when they come to the aid of Sasha, the Iron Qwaser. So...an episode or two of season two and then it's off to dreamland... I heard big (its not intended i swear ) things about this and I also expected it would a big breast feast... Havent had a chance to watch it yet because of my never ending to watch anime list. "And boobs...lots and lots of boobs, of every shape and size (non-existent to grossly large)" Sounds like jiggly jiggly heaven to me. Currently watching shirobako and so far it has been solid. No plot holes(heh heh) that I can see and it has been slowly going up in terms of enjoyment. The character designs are actually quite nice and each character is semi decently realistic. It would be a CGDCT if it had more slice of life (KanCo + GuP for the win!!)

I love Sengoku Era history, but after sitting through Battle Girls Time Paradox, I can't stomach another show that would portray Hideyoshi as the hero. Tokugawa Ieyasu FTW!!! Battle Girl Time Paradox was just plain awful.
Oda Nobuna is actually pretty good, my only complaint besides the heavy use of loli's *they admittedly, are all awesome characters* is the lack of more episodes :3 |

Tags: Action, Comedy.
index's greatest issue is touma, replace him with a better MC (aka what railgun did) and the show would be so much better. apart from that i have to agree, its has some of the most interesting world building of any show i've seen.

There's something about Touma you need to come to terms with to enjoy him:
His hand is the Miracle Breaker, it destroys all things that are unimaginable for us to control. Having had this power for as long as he can remember, it's effected him in every way manageable without being abrasive. His luck is crap because miracles just don't happen for him, so his life is littered with one bad thing happening after the next, with only his perservance proving to have any effect. So he's a hard working guy, used to life shitting on him.

So he's a hard working guy, used to life shitting on him. its not that which i find annoying, for the most part i find him to be a decent if somewhat bland character on occasion, its those long ass monologues he does in the middle of the fight scene where he effectively recaps the plot arc, how he dislikes the antagonist and how the power of friendship won't be beaten that i hate. if it weren't for that i wouldn't really care for him, as it is i find him to be something i have to tolerate rather than enjoy like the rest of the show. its part of why i find railgun to be a more enjoyable series, misaka tends to spend less time talking and more time blowing stuff up, don't get me wrong, she does the same thing on occasion as well but she's nowhere near as longwinded.

So Gugure Kokkuri-San. I'm 5 episodes in, and will give my first impression on it. Kokkuri, (who will be known as Dude Holo (Yes I know Holo is a wolf not a fox, but roll with it.) from here on out) visits our MC, Kohina after she summons him. Seeing her pitiable state Dude Holo suddenly goes all Usagi Drop on her and decides he's her father. Then, Inugami, who I swear is on loan from the anime Inu x Boku SS, shows up and declares his/her love for Kohina. To round out our colorful cast a tanuki with a gambling and drinking habbit moves in.
Honestly, the show is funny, and Yamamoto-kun just cracks me up. Though, I've noticed some darker themes showing through during the show, and wonder if those are ever going to be fleshed out. As it is so far I hope that the story decides to explore those. Right now it seems like it's really going nowhere.
