this is the latest message i have received on my gmail asking for the skill respec. I have not received an email from GM and it has been 5 days after i got the "Petition Received" message.

So how exactly do the AUR reset work? is it everything before a specific date or something? Wouldn't want to lose my omega boosters after all.

from what i understand you entire chracter is wiped including skillpoints and all assets and your AUR is restored to what it would total before you bought anything, omega boosters included i would have thought

A closed ticket will not affect your request once you have received our response.

what is the deal CCP , we have been waiting for a long time now. Why can't you just finish up the respec for the people who didn't get it THEN move on? -___-

dealing with the ISK issue, the DDoS, and Odyssey launch are probably considered higher priority issues, and i wouldnt blame them for such... but at the same time, it feels like there have been opportunities to flip the switch on some of these respec flags, like the patch that hit yesterday balancing the TAC AR...

word. I know they got stuff to do, but i mean they can always do that. Why we got to wait for them to finish the stuff that is not WANTED atm, maybe needed, but not wanted atm. If you know what i mean of course.

wow, i wonder if this respec thing gets to random people instead of the order from how sooner they got a response from GM. And i was talking about the minor things like increasing hp on vehicles (which they should not have done because people are just using them to bump over others) and minor bugs that i hardly even know about and that i am able to deal with atm. Our respec is a major Issure and i think CCP should have it done by tomorrow, because they put all respecs into all accounts on the uprising. Why can't they just do that again? except it would be less people this time.

what frustrates me so fiercely is the lack of transparency about all of this... if theyd given us ANY information regarding the batches, which one were in, when its scheduled to go, it would be less annoying if they told us... i dont even care if they pushed the date back 1-2 weeks because of serious issues, as long as they gave us an idea as to when it might come. they are being unnecessarily cloak and dagger about all of this, and its not inspiring a whole lot of confidence.

thats mainly the reason i got mad i dont mind the wait cause server went down and they were there all night fixing it so i know they working hard but saying theres an order to things and not following at all doesnt gain to much confidence i can wait for my respec since i can play with full militia if i want to but atleast give some info on whats going on, why its taking so long, set a date for the respec and keep the order of it how it should be i filled out my info for the 29th i shouldnt complain too much but regardless it does bother and even more when u find out people been waiting even more

heard some one say that ccp will do the respecs with the next major update, June 14 I believe.

If that's true, color me sceptical. The more things that are applied, patched etc. at once, the bigger the chances of unintended consequences. Smaller batches of fixes makes it a lot easier to get things right in the first place, and a lot easier to find the bug if something goes wrong.

I havent touched Dust 514 since the ticket got opened and dont plan to until i see a re-spec or a decline. Now this is not because im pissed or boycotting CCP , its just to be safe . I dont know if me messing about on the character will make it harder on them to do the math at the end of the day !
Just chilling and waiting !!! Besides , Dust is a pet project, Eve is the main event !

they process the respecs during server downtimes, or at least they have every time ive seen them happening, so your progress is effectively saved at the start of downtime, they flip the magical switch and a bunch of skill fairies come take all your SP away, but before they can make off with all your points, CCP SoxFour clubs them with a DEVHAX mallet, and gives you back your SP as unallocated rather than trying to remember where they were before the skill fairies started their shenanigans

Good news everybody, I have just sacrficed two chickens, a goat, and a bag of doggy treats along with my social life as offering to the respec gods, with any luck we could get the next batch of respecs by next week!

Could you please post a status update with an estimate about how much longer it will take. Could you also state how many players have been respeced and how many are still waiting? This would help us to understand how much more needs to be done.

I'll be honest with you DEVs, I first logged in and spent all my points like my old character was when the new patch came in...on a scout. I was so disgusted of how the other classes were now beating my butt that I just took a hiatus from the game. I now come on the site to see that there is a timed reset that I missed and I am very disappointed. If is my fault that I spent the points in a wrong way, but I did so with the intention of being competitive and with a limited knowledge of the other classes.

Anyways, what I am getting at is that you should really implement some kind of personal sp reset that we can buy because I feel I am not the only one disappointed in how I spent my points and this ''draft'' thing does not seem to be working as you are angering those that are waiting as well as those that do not come on the forums much.

I agree but I guess it depends on the price. If you make it increasingly expensive as it is used, it could solve the issue and they would make money with it, lots of it I suspect. I wouldn't mind either a once or twice a year respec either. I just don't feel like playing right now because of my mistake while thinking of the slow grind ahead while not enjoying my spec and I am pretty sure I am not the only one. So yeah, something has got to give.

the problem with purchasable respecs is that it would completely defeat the purpose or meaning of our choices... though they really gave an EXTREMELY limited window for this respec with people being on hiatus, or having ragequit due to the new build... an extremely limited periodic respec might be more practical, akin to the EVE skill redistribution system(12 month timer before being able to respec a second time)... but this doesnt feel right for the theme still...

SOMETHING could be implemented, but i dont know the BEST approach, i just think that the purchasable would be spammed way too much

I can say I really botched my skills on my 1st character , and that's the one Id like the reset on the most because I have the most SP on. However I really haven't let it slow me from playing. i made a second guy and still play my 1st with a bit of a handicap since I screwed up my skills.

That's just it tho, your going to get a reset eventually, something they really don't need to do because we screwed up our characters (most of us?) not them.

Just my opinion, Ill be patient and hope it happens soon.

Not having feedback is what's making this even worse. All we want is a date, but NOT soon.

Like i said gm and dev based corps are the once defending this.

today is the 30th day since i submitted a respec, may 14th... was hoping they had forgotten to include the respec in todays downtime... but saddly that was misplaced hope....

as for still waiting for almost a full month now, i have seen a lot of people reference GM and DEV based corps... this comment confuses me cause all of the GMs and DEVS are members of 'C C P Alliance' i thought, and that they had seperate corps for the DEVs and GMs at least

i suggest stop bullshitting and start doing respecs daily little by little instead of working on some big release that no one craes about i woulld even prefer a whole day of downtime to work on respecs but CCP doesnt seem to care too much

18 days waiting and still no news. tired of waiting for an answer, and what bothers me most is that it is an issue as busy and no answer something concrete.

Well it's going on weeks now and no skill respec.. It's all good bc on 8-27-13 ,,FF14 is coming and if u can't do a respec by then I will be moving on to final fantasy 14 and when CCP can't up hold simple thing as a respec ppl move on and when u can't build a strong fan base bc ppl are leaving the game everybody no where in game will end up if that keeps ups..

the guys working on the vita app are likely NOT the guys responsible for core gameplay mechanices(Aiming at least)... just like CCP SoxFour has little to no word or responsibility on anything outside of PC... though i have no idea who IS responsible for core game mechanics,s o i COULD be mistaken here, but maybe if CCP had more people communicating what projects they had on the horizon(vague and obscure is fine so long as we know SOMETHING is being done...), maybe then i could tell you who to get mad at when they start releasing bogus additional content...

2nd. Screw the Gallante week you guys need to focus on respecs or skilltree.

We do take player concerns seriously. unfortunately we have encountered unexpected issues in recent weeks that have diverted developer resources away from this important issue. We're always listening but at times we may have no fresh updates to share after we acknowledge a fault and assign resources to fixing it until such time as the fix is ready to walk out the door.

While skill respecs were delayed, this was because some of our developers were pulled into resolving critical defects, maintaining server uptimes, recovering from server downtimes and defending against DDOS attacks as their number one priority. While it may be true that our content developers and monetisation experts were not diverted to these roles and could publish store updates, trust me, as good as they are you don't want our team of artists and excel wizards fixing the server, nor would you want our server leads designing dropsuits and pricing weaponry.

I found one upside to the long wait......I know what I wont be spending sp on.

I won't be using most of my skill points when I get my re-spec. I want to be able to spec in something that isn't in the game yet. Hopefully all the core weapons and dropsuits will be entering the game shortly?

Today DUST 514 will go offline for an extended period of time starting from 11:00 GMT. Server is expected to come back up at 11:45 GMT. Today we are deploying the second wave of re-specs.
