Why bother with skill points in the first place? What is the point in a time sink in a game that costs nothing to play? i can understand the need for it in eve online, players with skills training means money per month to play. i say get rid of all skills for dust514 and keep it money only that way every player can use what they like as long as they can afford to keep using it. Make this game one you can pick up and play not the time sink it currently is, either that or make weapons, etc via achievements. Playstation users dont want to sit and wait months to be able to gear up for a gun that may or may not be what they wanted in the first place. CCP do us a favour get rid of the skill points. Mercenary clones should have all the skills required on spawning.. they are not EVE Demi-gods.Seriously CCP you want the limited subscriber base EVE has? or do you want a large population that the ps network can generate, consider what the other fps games out there reach in population, now stop being a specialist members only club! |

You obviously have no idea what you were getting into playing this game then, you get waaaaaay more points by playing matches vs the passive sp gain, negating your "time sink game" mis-conception. Hmm fanboi much?
Right.... ive been playing since Beta, and guess what i am right. This game DOES NOT need skill points, Dust514 brings at most 2.5k players to the FPS table of which 1k of them are still in academy and running around with militia wear farming real noobs and the rest are ALTS of large alliances in eve trying to win sov (hence why eve hid the real population count to avoid negative visual input). This game isnt a public game in the fact ps network people avoid it because it is a time and money sink to a specialist audience. Dust514 is eye candy but when it comes to game dynamics it may as well still be in beta because whoever is running the show doesnt have a clue about weapon class types.Read the forum posts here mr fanboy, CCP have ruined this game it could of been a hit like Eve was, but then the only reason eve is still a hit is because they keep the market clear for space simulation MMORPG's with random threats of lawsuits to anyone considering a similar approach. Im done with dust514 its uninstalled i cannot see them developing this game into something playable. i wish ccp all the luck i can give. Thx bbai! |
