as far as i am aware, even an automated reply counts as a GM response in the loosest of technicalities on your first petition. unless you filed additional messages, they probably didnt look twice at 'skill respec' petitions. and you probably wouldnt have gotten a second automated message seeing as your account was already 'flagged' this prevents people from getting multiple respecs as well.
and is there any chance we will be seeing another batch of respecs during todays Odyssey deployment? or will all hands be busy assisting with the deployment/verification process?

dealing with the ISK issue, the DDoS, and Odyssey launch are probably considered higher priority issues, and i wouldnt blame them for such... but at the same time, it feels like there have been opportunities to flip the switch on some of these respec flags, like the patch that hit yesterday balancing the TAC AR... |

just because you or i dont want something, doesnt mean its not for the greater good... though i wonder what the exact numbers for DUST look like, how many actual players and how many requested respecs...
but as far as not WANTED, the last couple of issues are not really things they could let slide... the ISK *FEATURE* was uneven and terrible, even if they left the isk alone, people would have bitched and moaned about not getting as much as the next person... DDoS wasnt really their choice to deal with, and is now fixed so it shouldnt be a problem... and Odyssey, thats been scheduled for at least a full month and some change, at very least since FANFEST, i dont remember which weekend that ran but it was b4 Uprising launch. the only extended downtime issue that may have had an option about was the TAC AR tweaks that came with a couple other small things, somethin bout explosives and i forget what else they added...
having said all of this, i do find it hard to believe that they havent found time to process some respecs with odyssey launch downtime or the TAC AR downtime... i admit to not knowing how much time it takes to do them, and i dont know how busy they are around the office, or even what theyre actually working on to even try to guess at what the reasoning might be for the lack or respec... i just wish that they could all get on the same page at CCP rather than seeing 3 or 4 different responses about whats up with the respecs... case and point, CCP Eterne telling someone to file a petition about not getting their respec yet... which got countered by GM Unicorn at somepoint after i added a message about it on my current petition asking for clarification

the thing is i think the ISK *FEATURE* that popped up on the 28th with the first batch has them nervous about batch 2+... also how did they mess that one up... i still scratch my head about that... and with everyone being flagged by this point, they should be capable of simply flipping a switch and processing ALL of them at once i would imagine... it is starting to frustrate me.
as for the random nature, there was a program or tool that was supposed to prioritize players based on the date they got processed, putting emphasis on getting those of us who have been waiting into the first batch according to GM Grave, Lead GM, and that through some fluke myself and a few others got bumped into later batches. i will attempt to find that thread where he said that. |

youre tellin me when they parroted that annoying phrase that entire day...
what frustrates me so fiercely is the lack of transparency about all of this... if theyd given us ANY information regarding the batches, which one were in, when its scheduled to go, it would be less annoying if they told us... i dont even care if they pushed the date back 1-2 weeks because of serious issues, as long as they gave us an idea as to when it might come. they are being unnecessarily cloak and dagger about all of this, and its not inspiring a whole lot of confidence. |

you were supposed to file a petition before downtime on the 31st to get your respec, so i wouldnt count on getting it at this point unless you did the petition and got the automated response... |

soldier, if you filed your petition BEFORE downtime on the 31st, you should have gotten an automated response within 72 hours. if you filed it AFTER the 31st you shouldnt have been eligible for respec and thusly received no response.
as long as you have that automated response, you will get a respec 'SOON(tm)', if you filed BEFORE the 31st and didnt get a response, file another ticket refering to your first one that you didnt get flagged. |

they process the respecs during server downtimes, or at least they have every time ive seen them happening, so your progress is effectively saved at the start of downtime, they flip the magical switch and a bunch of skill fairies come take all your SP away, but before they can make off with all your points, CCP SoxFour clubs them with a DEVHAX mallet, and gives you back your SP as unallocated rather than trying to remember where they were before the skill fairies started their shenanigans |

filed for respec on May 14th... over 28 days now... got told over 2 weeks ago, when i didnt receive the respec on the 28th, that i was scheduled for the next batch which would be happening 'very soon' ... so 2 weeks is 'very soon' ... i can only imagine what 'soon' means, and am still under the impression that 'SOON TM' prettymuch means 'NEVER' ... after 5 years on EVE, i had thought i had come to terms with this fact...but this is getting rediculous... |

the problem with purchasable respecs is that it would completely defeat the purpose or meaning of our choices... though they really gave an EXTREMELY limited window for this respec with people being on hiatus, or having ragequit due to the new build... an extremely limited periodic respec might be more practical, akin to the EVE skill redistribution system(12 month timer before being able to respec a second time)... but this doesnt feel right for the theme still...
SOMETHING could be implemented, but i dont know the BEST approach, i just think that the purchasable would be spammed way too much |

i admit to being biased with the annual respec from EVE, it works, and you stick to your plan for 12 months at a time, and when new toys come out you always end up kicking yourself for not bein the right spec for optimal skilling... makes you want to save them longer than the 12 month span, for whenever the next latest craze launches... or something meaningful, such as INDUSTRY or MARKET skills |

as for still waiting for almost a full month now, i have seen a lot of people reference GM and DEV based corps... this comment confuses me cause all of the GMs and DEVS are members of 'C C P Alliance' i thought, and that they had seperate corps for the DEVs and GMs at least |

all im waiting for is to get the 1.3m sp back from amarr logi suits original prereq(amarr frame 5 mostly), and 1.5m sp back from engineering and electronics 5, to redistribute them to make my build competitive finally... being able to field a proper tanked logistics suit so that i can take more than 2seconds of fire from a SINGLE opponent while trying to heal somebody... |

response i expect to hear is "very soon" followed shortly by "thanks for your patience in this matter." with lots of vague fluff.
that has been their tried and true response on this matter for the last few weeks any time we have tried... though hopefully they give the CPM a proper date or time line at least...
not that i dont appreciate the CPM trying to investigate this issue, i just dont expect much progress on this front... |

the guys working on the vita app are likely NOT the guys responsible for core gameplay mechanices(Aiming at least)... just like CCP SoxFour has little to no word or responsibility on anything outside of PC... though i have no idea who IS responsible for core game mechanics,s o i COULD be mistaken here, but maybe if CCP had more people communicating what projects they had on the horizon(vague and obscure is fine so long as we know SOMETHING is being done...), maybe then i could tell you who to get mad at when they start releasing bogus additional content...

ive come up with a new theory, that when GM Grave mentioned second AND final respec, he was implying there was the second respec, which hit thismorning, followed by a third(final) respec which hasnt hit yet |
