I am loving the new content but it seems like no changes were made based on community feedback. Well, they did up the bonus for the Caldari assault bonus.
The rail rifle is still going to be to good in CQC.

No. Deal with it. Maybe you'll keep more liquid ISK available in the future instead of tying it up into assets when WE HAVE NO PLAYER MARKET.

I don't understand how CCP can do a Dropsuit Command respec without a Dropsuit Upgrades respec. Actually, I have to echo this concern. Since Amarr sentinel (but really, all heavy suits until 1.8) had to be Amarr, it really doesn't sit right that the tanking skills aren't being refunded. Now, more than ever, it's possible to see the full spectrum of what is offered in game.
Now, it's (and will be very soon with 1.8) possible to pick "just" Caldari, with all that Caldari has to offer--from scout, to mediums, to heavy to weapons and beyond. So, why not let us have a skill point reallocation so we can invest our SP where it'd mean the most to us? Why not offer a respec so we can specialize into what we would have done if the game had launched with these options on Day 1?
These new suits and general changes to better reflect racial specializations are awesome, CCP. But you guys have to make this right.

while this is true, NOTHING stopped you from spending skill points on the other skills for shields, so i feel the dropsuit respec is more than enough. you could have spent points on extenders I did, and i intend to remain an amarr heavy.

Im not happy with the way the respect option is working.
These changes effect much more than the racial suit you are using. If someone is changing their assault suit it means they also need to change their weapon. If they change their commando suit, they also need to change their weapon. If they are changing logistics suits they have to change their equipment.
If they are changing roles entirely they will need a whole different set of skills. If a minmitar logisitics still wants to be a hacker, they will need to completely change their roles, needing damps, cloak, and no longer likely needs repair tools that most logistics guys have.
All of these things are huge SP sinks and will take months to become sufficient in your new role.
While I am glad we get a partial respec, it flies in the face of what you did for the vehicle respec.
Most people with low SP spent ALL of their SP in upgrade that result in a direct correlation to their role. I bet most people with less than 15mil SP have a single dropsuit up to prototype. Which is really going to punish these players.
I am going to send in a support ticket to get all of my SP refunded. I suggest everyone else do that same.

Right, but you're conveniently leaving out that if these choices were available on Day 1, no Caldari heavy would have spent tons of SP to get complex plates or armor repairers. But, that sp is necessary to be competitive as an Amarr heavy. So, while your argument is absolutely true, relatively speaking it fails.
Where in one case, a Caldari sentinel would have just spent the SP getting a complex shield tank (and freed up the other sp into weapons, fitting, etc.), that same Caldari sentinel had to spend sp into an armor tank, because the only heavy suits available were Amarr, who aren't even hi/low slot balanced, so you could at least argue choice-of-tank options.

Dude, i say again, it was a valid question and i was polite about it. I understand you could be someone who loves to argue online or a raging hormonal teen, but next time a simple "No, im afraid not", would suffice. I've gotten 0 bonus out of my Shield Recharging being to 5, but, when the new suits were announced, I knew I was getting a Minmatar Assault suit no matter what, so, I invested (after having the points for the suit) into my shield skills.
Likewise, I think we should have the option to get those points back. I'm a Logi first and foremost, but, I'll probably only run 3 regular equipment +REs now with the equipment nerf, having everything to 5 seems silly.
At the same time, I still have a Dren Heavy, so I'd probably have to reinvest in Armor skills anyway.
I'm content at this point. Plus, you never know, maybe CCP will announce Dropsuit Upgrades are getting refunded when the Equipment DevBlog drops.

Kinda concerned that the Gallente Commando isn't going to hold it's weight against the Amarr Commando. Bonus is nice, sure but the Assault Scrambler Rifle (1.8) out-ranges and out-DPSes the Assault Rifle as is so you're not losing anything in the offensive department when their proficiencies are both geared toward shield users.
Just as well, the slight increase in speed and one HP armor repair on the Gallente isn't enough to compare to the 80 base HP increase on the Amarr Commando when they both have the same slot layout. Just seems like a slightly more shield-tanky version of the Amarr.
Suppose we'll just have to wait and see though.

Suit visual designs look great though! I agree on both points Amarr scout may be the second most visual appealing scout, next to the Minmatar
They did increase the base stamina stat though by a good chunk from what they initially announced for the amarr scout. 225-> 275 or about 22%.

With all the complaining about a partial refund I'm getting the impression that people only run one fit. I have two or three variations across Assault, Logistics and Scout plus pilot and sniper focused not including variations for basic, standard and prototype. Some are pure shield and some are more armor heavy. I'll now be adding Sentinel and Commando which will probably mean trimming some of my existing fits. When FOTM swings around I wouldn't be surprised if you end up relying on skills you want to dump in 1.8.

Yet not for the Mass Driver or Flaylock, why? Also thoroughly disappointed you haven't redone the slot layout on the medium suits. Your just gonna have to change them up in the future anyway
On a positive note, good work on the rest of the suits. Just feel like you've shot yourselves in the foot.

Not everyone has 40million SP. Most people have been forced to focus on a single role. Which means the command respec means NOTHING to these people. Basically a HTFU mantra. Especially since day one, they have been told to focus on a single role to get competitive and join in on PC games.
