Im now speccing to get all heavies and be a dedicated heavy now other than my amarr logi (**** waiting ten years to spawn in), i have been tearing ass with the Kommando A-1 all week.

I've started running Commandos part time on all of my characters aside from my Amarr (lvl 5 scout + glitch...yeah, it'll be awhile...)
Aside from the disgusting white/yellow/marshmallow exterior of the Caldari Commando, it is my favourite. I have not seen too many of them, though... makes me feel like a unicorn made of ugly.
Still deciding if I should say pure racial, or go for racial+ally (as far as weapons go). It is a bit frustrating not having a full racial contingent of light weapon roles. |

The Gal Commando was easier to get decent fits with lower level core skills.

I was going to go proto Caldari Commando day 1 of 1.8, but the radioactive pastel colour scheme put me off. I went proto Gal Scout and had fun with the cloak.
With the event starting this past Wednesday, I begrudgingly put some points into Cal Commando and holy crap, I've barely touched my scout it's so fun!

Assault Rifle and Plasma Cannon is the perfect combo for me.
Couldn't imagine wearing a sidearm with it...I just wish the plasma cannon didn't take an Ungodly amount of ammo.

So the kill cap to reach 750k bonus SP is only 375 instead of 750. Although if you can't get 750 kills in two weeks then why are you even sweating trying to reach the cap?

Because it also USED TO have the sidearm reload bonus that went up to +25%
Combined with Dual Flaylock with maxed out Ammo/Prof/Reload Speed it becomes one monster of a Close Quarters suit.
I feel like using Light weapons in this game is overpowered... I prefer to play with my food before I eat it?

I was rather bummed when the LP versions didn't go live with 1.8. I'd hoped I could skill to 3 and try out a proto fit. No such luck, though =(
