Normally, I'd try to get my Amarr loyalist alt on the list... But the recent potential bonus information that has come up made me stop using that alt, for now. Too much SP invested in things I will no longer want...
But I still remember firing up my basic commando for the first time, and went 33-10 in a highly competitive domination... good times with the AR/Shotty combo. I even used the repair tool and ran with a few heavy team mates from time to time. They seemed confused when a fat man pulled out equipment, almost as if they forgot that the commando existed. (I wonder why?)
In any case, the future seems bright, though the clouds look as if they may linger awhile longer. |

Some people may not have noticed that the prices have been reduced for commandos.
No longer are they obscenely overpriced for no reason. They are in line with all other suits.
If you are swimming in ISK, it probably does not matter. But for us poor/stingy people, it can mean the difference between being able to afford to run commando/not being able to.
Still, a fitted commando will still probably be more expensive than a different role of the same tier and similar fittings. Those light weapons are expensive... |

I've finally figured out what to do with my wimpy hipster Gallente logi alt. 600K SP (and everything I make during the SP event) will be dedicated to the Gallente Commando. I'd love go for the Gallente Sentinel, but the lack of a Gallente heavy weapon is a deal-breaker.
Plus, I've already skilled into every Gallente weapon (yes, even the Plasma Cannon). And I rather liked the AR/Shotgun combo I used on my Amarr alt (w/ mlt level weapons). Now I just need to figure out some fittings... |

I've started running Commandos part time on all of my characters aside from my Amarr (lvl 5 scout + glitch...yeah, it'll be awhile...)
Aside from the disgusting white/yellow/marshmallow exterior of the Caldari Commando, it is my favourite. I have not seen too many of them, though... makes me feel like a unicorn made of ugly.
Still deciding if I should say pure racial, or go for racial+ally (as far as weapons go). It is a bit frustrating not having a full racial contingent of light weapon roles. |
