A nerf to damage will destroy its ability to work at range, the issues with this gun stems from its ability to CQC like a boss. As everyone else has said, it needs a RoF cap... if they can't hard code a limit, then some sort of overheat mechanic ...

I think +3% Shields and Armor per level instead of shield recharge would be pretty good in making assaults quite a bit beefier than logis. 2% extenders per level for caldari assault and 5% recharge per level for caldari logi. move the 2% hybrid...

You can easily click 10x a second with a mouse, which is what most people are using to achieve that kind of fire rate, not modded controllers. Nerfing damage and leaving the recoil as is will kill its ability at range, not do much for it in CQC. ...

Yeah I agree with everyone else, the divided slot layout allows for a little more diversity in gameplay. If you did away with slot layout, people would theorycraft the 'best' build and you would end up with about 2-3 different cookie cutter builds...
