All I got today were negative isk rewards reported on the reward screen, but when I looked at my isk balance after the match, I'd actually gained isk. I didn't keep track of numbers. Maybe I'll do that tonight or tomorrow to see what happens.

I think the SP system would be fine if CCP used the same time based skill que system that's used in Eve. Then the only people at any disadvantage would be the people who can't figure out how to keep their skill que full.
