Because it's a CQC weapon- what Gallente weapons are supposed to be, and what Gallente assault rifles will be when AR variants are expanded. You'll find it's an effective weapon when used correctly

Take away the automatic self-destruct that vehicles have. As it's meant to prevent spam, it's not really needed anymore, and is more of a pain. Or, change it so a vehicle will only start damaging itself if the owner calls in another vehicle.
