481. Corporations Dust and EVE - in General Discussions [original thread]
I run a corp with well over 700 people in it. Dozens of emails warning me that dudes are poor is *just* what I was looking for.

482. Why do people think MTAC's will be huge? - in General Discussions [original thread]
Quote: The man Tibus is attempting to rescue has just been shot by a high-caliber sniper round. Well, then I guess that explains the Caldari attacks on mercs the last few weeks. Heth noted the upswing in hill snipers and decided the time wa...

483. Why do people think MTAC's will be huge? - in General Discussions [original thread]
That second image, for those interested in lore, is Tibus Heth protecting a guy from the factory he worked in during a worker's rebellion. Assuming I remember Empyrean Age correctly. It was the defining moment that made him a folk hero, which allo...

484. Anybody else think that we should get rid of the free precision strike? - in General Discussions [original thread]
I don't have any problem with the strike being available without an eve pilot. It's one of the more unique elements of Dust and new players in pub matches need to learn what they are, how to use them and what to do when the sky rips open. My main ...

485. Okay, I think I found a paradox in the storyline of Dust 514/ EVE Online - in General Discussions [original thread]
The reason they created the clone soldiers when they discovered the technology is that we're capable of using weapons that would kill a person whose body wasn't engineered and can be aggressive in a way that conventional forces cannot. Basically, ...

486. Eve online + Dust 514 = EVE online hates us! no really i'm serious - in General Discussions [original thread]
Kinda funny that some people think of Dust as lolomgshootingmalazurgun fps, because the people who have the most fun with Eve think of it as lolomgshootingmalazurguninspace. There's a whole lot of bitter turds in eve who get all angry when someone...

487. How big of a advantage is mous over sticks? - in General Discussions [original thread]
It really depends on the player. If someone has been playing console shooters for a long time they'll probably do just fine with the controller. If you come from a PC background though, like me, you'll be far better off with the mouse. I can manag...

488. Kain Spero SP leeching in my match. - in General Discussions [original thread]
What I don't understand is the idea that winning or losing in pub matches actually matters somehow. The reward for winning or losing is the same. Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat is fun, but until there is something tangible to be won or ...

490. I hate lasers - in General Discussions [original thread]
I very rarely die to lasers anymore. You just have to be aware of your surroundings and try to treat the game a little more like a war sim than quake. Use your head and your feet to stay alive and kill the enemy, the weapon you use is almost incon...

492. Is the Supply Depot DUST's disruptive technology? - in General Discussions [original thread]
The way I figured it was that megacorps designed all the things we're building out of nanites and put the most draconian DRM on them you could imagine.

493. The major problem with Dust 514 - in General Discussions [original thread]
Few people agreed with you back then that it was more fun. It also didn't fit in with CCPs vision of the game as a wargame, not an arcadey twitch shooter. QQ more.

494. 0 sensitivity too fast. Anyone else... - in General Discussions [original thread]
If you're using a mouse make sure to turn mouse smoothing off. When it's on it basically nullifies any adjustments you make to sensitivity.

495. Map locations - in General Discussions [original thread]
Actually instant matches have already moved to highsec. When you're loading into barge open the teams listing and check out the planet...it's on Luminaire. We used to be on E-RPG or something in Jove space. Not that it particularly means anything.

496. Dust 514 Backstory? - in General Discussions [original thread]
Actually Empyrean Age directly references events that happened in-game. I just learned this weekend that if you fly to a certain system you can look at the burning wreck of a station whose destruction was detailed in that book. GM event not player...

497. Persistent world, sense of place, updates to maps, new ambush mode - in General Discussions [original thread]
The maps aren't actually generated every time a match is created, the idea is that each planet will have a terrain map that is generated procedurally and then stays the same for all time. If you fight on the same district twice the buildings may h...

498. Dust 514 Backstory? - in General Discussions [original thread]

499. Some of these new players are complete idiots. - in General Discussions [original thread]

500. EVE-O reports there was a massive supercap fight in EVE tonight - in General Discussions [original thread]
People were saying it crashed Dust, but CCP confirmed that this wasn't the case. At the time it supposedly crashed Subdreddit had people actively playing matches, and they hadn't noticed a single problem all evening.
