It felt the same as any other skirmish, except with squad members communicating and a little more motivation to win.
You need to do something about the tanks, though - the 5th Osmon round was all tank rushers and it got a little bit ridiculous at times. |

Beta still needs to be fixed, "ALOT". Normally I'm able to get in games & actually play but the entire time I tried to get in a battle during the Corp Battle times I was either prevented from entering the battle or disconnected before I could actually spawn. The problems I've encounter during this specific time period that have prevented me from enjoying/activiely particpating in the North Amercia Corp vs. Corp Battles are: -Being prevented from connecting to an active game -Being disconnected from an active game before being allowed to spawn -Being forced to quit due to all dropsuit fittings being INVALID -Being frozen in my personal quarters with the "select" button function being the only functioning action -Being told the game's server can't connect to PSN while my connection to the PSN is perfectly fine.
Earlier in the day during the Europe Corp Battle time period I was able to play in a few games before actually losing game connection while maintaining PSN connection. The annoying thing about ithat s not only do you get 0 (ZERO) benefits for kills, assists, & warpoints you've aquired in that game, you lose all the weapons, gears, & vehicles that you used in the game due to bad servers.
Please go back to giving FREE 1,000,000 SP & ISK to players for just playing during specific time periods at least until your servers can actually properly handle & support Corp vs Corp battles for everyone. Having a contest that applies to everyone in the game but is only available to some of the is not a fair contest. Rewards & prizes are nice ways of giving back to your non-official testers that test & endure your unbalanced & bug-ridden game for free. The frustration of playing & constantly restarting a broken game that official testers actually get paid for is starting to outweigh the fun of playing an unreleased game. Perhaps I just need to take a long break... idk.

1st battle I was in went pretty well actually, but there were a couple issues:
- I got in from the Merc Tab, not the Corp Tab
- Lots of radio chatter about lag - I experienced some, but not too bad
- Couldn't use the Market after the match (not sure if it is related)
- After letting the market timeout, the entire NEOCOM quit working
- Finally restarted and now I see another CvC with my corp is in progress but again was in the Merc tab
We lost (barely) -_-
2nd battle was a lot worse for me. My biggest issue that game was scoping in using sniper rifles kept doing that zoom in/out flutter thing. I haven't seen that since R4 came out, but it made it practically impossible to play - I wasn't clipping either; I died a lot trying to just shoot from flat ground.
We lost again. :-(
Over all it was a more intense experience - lots of very good players were playing so it was a lot of fun. About half were on comms (which is way better than it usually is). Hope to get in to more tomorrow!
PS - let's try that VITA NEOCOM - you gotta need some alpha/beta testing for that soon! |

Corp vs Corp was good, but the only thing that really annoys me is the LAG! It's a big issue and the game would be so much better without it ! |

You are forgetting all the people who spent money on aurum and the merc pack. They are paying to play a beta, which is all sorts of weird. Granted it is their choice. |

Other than the mad lag that resulted in horrible stuttering, it was rather pleasant. Tanks seemed to dominate the map, especially since tanks are basically big sniping vehicles and could shoot from one side of the map to the other and blow anything down with ease.
I think we need BIGGER maps for Corp matches. That, and SMARTER placement of Clone Spawns. Giving us one in OUR BASE is not really smart or useful. |

If you wanted to test how players used AUR in their natural habitat you probably would do exactly what CCP did and have a bunch of people sign up using a merc pack sort of thing. If you just gave players free AUR you would get some distortions in your data and would not be testing "real world" conditions. Not that that is what CCP is doing. Or even that it would make sense to do that. Seems to make more sense to tighten up the game mechanics, and so on before the economics.
But who knows.
I feel like we must have been testing some sort of system in these Corp. v Corp. battles and hope CCP is getting their data.
I guess we all saw one thing happen today, and that was the Amarr getting their asses handed to them. |

I managed to make it for the early EU matches here is my feedback -
I managed to get into 3 games.
Game 1 - Dropped in at the very end of the game, my corp was redlined and that was that.
Game 2 - Very laggy, weapons just wouldnt hit targets as usual, my corp lost. Something wasnt quite right with the servers.
Game 3 - Some Lag, was pitched against a extremely competent corp which had a few players from the top ten, this SP advantage became apparent along with the lag and was an overwhelming campfest by the end of the match. My corp lost again lol
I got into matches fine, navigated all menu's with no crash's or invalid bugs, the only real issue was the massive lag in the second game which lead to an inability to hit things stood right in front of my HMG at times, and im talking a full HMG clip getting spewn at a logi suit thats wasnt strafing and in my optimal.
No crashes or invalid bugs though, in fact the whole system seemed a little more stable than it has been, i hope this is a sign of the future! |

Lots of fun. Bad lag but less than I expected.
Can a dev put up a win/loss tally somewhere? With different people in different matches it's hard to keep track.
Can we also get some clarification on the schedule. The email says from the first to the seventh of September but the forums say the "weekend" and the first match was at 20:00:00 31/08/2012 - UTC. |

FYI,
The corp battles actually start at five after...8:05pm, 8:35pm and 9:05pm (eastern). While the battle is taking place, it will show you xx/32...29/32...32/32.
Once the battle finishes (at around 8:25, 8:55) the battles will disappear and then reappear once the next battle is set to begin...at the 5 mark. |

00:33 GMT start of my first Corporation Battle. The battle type was a Skirmish match with the three points open for capture to destroy the enemy MCC. The battle had some noticeable lag in the match, but it wasn't a gamebreaker. We won the match with our MCC shields, still above 50% percent.
Second, Corp battle I got into was at 01:06 GMT the [SANKE] vs the Royal Uhlans. Their was a noticeable stutter stepping glitch for about the first 10 seconds on the Warbarge (Lobby before game for the uninitiated). But it went away soon after, the battle type again was Skirmish with the three control points. We once again secured all three points and an unofficial blockade of their spawn when we all got disconnected from the match at 01:15 GMT. The corporation contact was still up on the battle finder, but after joining the match would not launch into battle again.
Overall, the one corporation match I got into was an intense battle. With my corporation mates calling out targets and enemy armor for destruction. Looking further for future testing and battles. |

Joined one game with a different sec in our squad...it loaded us and all looked good, not for him...it said not allowed or something...but then my squad was just booted. Bummer
Had some heavy lag spikes in the other games. They seemed to happen when I was switching load outs at the depots. Also vehicles coming in contact with each other caused close to freezing experiences.
Tanks were rough. A lot of tanks just sat way back and sniped. Thanks to your wisdom infantry had no recourse.
A few times I spammed nades from a nanohive and they seemed to not explode.
The mics and competition made an enjoyable gaming experience.

Got in on the last match for my corporation (very lucky, as I hadn't been paying attention to the clock and signed in to see three spots left on the contract).
I feel the corporation match was much more organized than I've normally experienced, although from what I understand after speaking with other Crux members is that our initial matches were full of nothing but KDR wh***s. There were a few issues with incapable squad leaders not doing their job, but considering that we got three orbitals off before the end and dominated the majority of the objectives leads me to believe it was tolerable.
Things I liked:
Lots of people on mics, in both squad chat and team chat. Made it very effective for everyone to know where they needed to go, what was needed, etc - we ended up with two dedicated rep-logis (myself included) on our tank, decent sniper support (plenty of calling out enemies/marks), and a healthy amount of combat-oriented units making it next to impossible for the enemy tanks to pin us down. Everyone moved and stayed together as a unit, and for the most part an entire squad of people would remain on an objective as defense. Orbital strikes were used liberally, and moreso, tactically. Whenever someone's OS became available, their squad announced it and the team unanimously called where the most important strike location was. Suffice it to say, almost all of them landed on and around the only objective we hadn't captured yet, clearing it out for us to (almost) capture it before the end of the game. Again, awesome synergy throughout the team. We had just enough of each role to make an effective combat force. I wish I could speak for earlier matches as well, I hear there were a number of Crux members who doing more KDR farming than actually winning the battle, but regardless - good experience. Also, the map we played on was the perfect size for the number of players. (Not Biomass, nor Plateaus - it was the one with all the crag/spires in the middle with the heavy fog laying over the whole map)
Things I didn't like:
All-in-all, I felt the match was simply too short for what it was. That, and I feel there should be some type of notification in a player's notification tab indicating that a corporate contract is up. If I hadn't have known this event was happening, or when, I would have probably logged in and never known the event was even happening. Considering that I have come across players in comms who are don't use/check the forums or their email frequently at all, I can't imagine there are those out there who had no idea this event was even happening. Lastly, I would have liked to see a more effective squad system in place (this is more a general comment, but it applies even more so in corporate matches); squads were rather haphazardly thrown together. We had ten squads, two of which were single units, a handful with two or three, and maybe four squads with the full four members. I understand this is a little difficult to work around with the "create a squad" system, but I really do feel that squads should [at least to some degree] be consolidated when the match starts, for greater levels of organization. |

I was searching for 30 minutes and not one room came up. I reset my game and still nothing, then after I turned off my system and back on a room came up(just one, and it was full). Since I figured it was fifteen minute matches(give or take) I reset my system at 8:45 EST and found a room (23/30), when I joined it was 7 minutes in and about four tanks and a bit of latency here and there. Only one other person on my team used a mic.
In the main chat room some people said there were multiple rooms on their list.
Anyway it was a slaughter, and I was the cattle....
EDIT: aside from that it was fairly fun. Gonna enjoy tomorrow(tonight) and Sunday. |

LOTS of fun!
First time I actually bothered to used the squad commander stuff in game.
First, I think Amarr corps need a buff, way too easy ;)
I think for organized play we need longer before game starts to get organized. Maybe double the lobby time so we can get time to get our ducks in a row.
Am I right in saying that you cant assign an order to capture an objective? Just rally there? Seemed a bit silly.
Also the system for sorting voice chat needs to be made much more easy.
I'd suggest some sort of master button easily visible that 'turns on voice chat in team' in one go.

It was really great, I didnt experienced any lag at all, and that was for Circle of Huskarl Minmatar Corp, we won all the three matches and had a great fun. I would say the feedback are posting only people who didnt get to match or with problems with connection maybe , coz the local chat was full of happines :), and other like 90% people loved it. Though I would be angry too if I didnt get to any of the three matches. Yeah there are still bugs like Invalid fittings but that could have been avoided if restarted the game before the battle.

1 match
i played the match that was about it. could not be bothered waiting and waiting to find next match full.
will i play them more often : your kidding right ? if this is going to be empire stuff forget it.
Lag : a little bit. right after game i went to battlefinder, instant match and had a invalid fitting.
Voice coms : its rubbish total rubbish, infact im ashamed to say i try and use it. i was squad leader, i could hear my gang, but my voice was a littke red cross, no green speach bubble. this fails big time. i spent a quarter of the match typing " my coms dont work" in squad chat and the same time trying to get the thing working. my exact words " this ****ing piece of stupid ****ing **** voice **** " sorry yeah its that bad CCP,
eve you join chanel thats it voice works, you leave chanel voice does not work. you hear all of gang. not just a selected 4 players etc etc. its a laughing stock. takes longer to set up voice in dust than fit a rifter travel 200 jump and kill a titan in said rifter.
in summery:
killing shizzle works, tanks fail, bugs are still bugs not been fixed, new content try fixing old stuff first. coms make it work for gods sake, it works , it dont , no 400 selectings in this menu and that menus. simple coms works, technical coms is just a pain in the head.
will i play corp on corp again, meh no thanks !! |

- Corp name in overview title do not match with actual corp's names fighting in battle. - First match Minmatar vs. Amarr sometimes laaged for me. We win but all I get from salvage was some basic crap(where those proto stuff that I see on match?;p). - I did not know when it will be the next match so I switch character for Gallente one, and he have problems with joining match. first I could connect to cvc normally, but a few seconds later I was kick, when I reconnect to match it's stuck on overview so I restart game and when I came back server was full. - After switching back to Minmatar char I join to third cvc, this time without laags. We fight as a team with 3/4 ppl on coms. At beginning we hit at A & C. Enemy tanks instead of focus on re-taking C, focus on our supply depot . So our 4 tanks easily destroy they 2 and push one back to spawn point - and that was end game for them. We re-take B and camp they main spawn point with 4 tanks and AV infantry, of curse some DS managed to get through our lines but they were not filled. |

i tried joining the very first match that went live. while the server showed there were still plenty of slots left i clicked to enter battle. i was given the server is full message so i hit x to dismiss it and saw it still showed available slots so i clicked to enter again and once again i was greeted with the server is full message.
i was only a little discouraged since surely if i stayed glued to the screen and didnt go to the bathroom i would certainly get into a match before the event ended. the next match i again saw open slots clicked to enter and YEAH WOOHOO I AM IN BATTLE INITIALIZING ........... ah crap i got bumped back to merc quarters.
but i did have great fun playing normal battles with my squad mates the rest of the night since i gave up on getting into a corp battle. maybe i will try again tonight.
i know ccp you wanted to do these corp battles to stress test.
i can verify trying unsuccessfully to get into a corp battle was very stressful :)
hope i get in tonight thanks for the hard work devs |
