Here are a few ideas that I believe could improve the game:
1. Vehicle controls should be altered. I believe the driving controls should be R2 to go forward, L2 to reverse, left analog stick to steer, and the right analog stick to look around. Keep triangle to switch seats.
2. It is much too slow to switch to the sidearm. I actually wish it wasn't mapped to R2 as well. Triangle would be much better. Make the right analog stick switch stance. L2 melee and R2 grenade.
3. The reload animations are a bit too long in my opinion.
4. I think the maps should look different based on the atmosphere of the planet. Fire, Ice, Forest, Desert, Storms, Snow. You could also have ancient cities, refineries, villages, architecture of the different cultures, mines, etc. Variety is always nice and should set the maps apart.
5. All the classes should have unique weapons and abilities that help the team. Assault is useless right now.
6. Additional cosmetic variety between classes and enemies. Should be able to look at player and tell what class they are playing.
7. Aim assist and voice chat should be enabled by default.
8. Higher default looking sensitivity.
9. Camera should be farther away from character in HQ.
10. Improve textures and effects
11. Grenade indicator for friendly and enemy grenades. Make indicator different colors.
12. Hit boxes need to be adjusted.
13. Reloading while running would be great.
14. Stamina meter is a bit annoying, would prefer unlimited sprint.
15. Hold breath while sniping if not already possible.
16. More class based game play similar to battlefield but on a greater level so people work together more.
17. Engineers can build temporary structures such as gun turrets
18. Press down to open a scroll wheel to select a vehicle or structure with analog stick. Look to Star Hawk for inspiration.
19. Traditional menu would be nice with a server browser and from there you can choose to go your HQ. Would have all the features and options available when you press start. HQ feels sort of gimmicky to me since its so small.
20. Orbital drop system for spawning would be awesome. I know it is in both Section 8 and Star Hawk but it makes sense in this game since you are working for the Eve Online players.
I have a feeling this is going to be an awesome game when all is said and done. :) |

Also, just trying to join the Osmon V Villore US event and the game's hanging on the "Battle Initializing" screen, i've had to do a hard reset 3 times now, i won't be trying to get in that match again.
Everything's worked fine for Osmon the last week or so though so i guess something was bound to go wrong eventually |

Started match out 8 vs. 16. We where quickly spawn camped while the enemies called in 4 tanks. Was not very fair or fun. Thank you again CCP for letting us be guinia pigs and to help make a better final product. |

There should be a trigger scenario that will wait to start the game until teams are balance in 'x' amount of time so it doesn't last forever.
More so one should be able sign up for contracts before a game starts as well... |

From bare bones to nothing, nothing at all on the US server at the posted times. 15 minutes past time for US server corp battles and the Battle Finder is quiet and empty. Summer vacation is over. Get it in gear. |

As of 8:20 pm ET Sept 8, the NA timezone matches were apparently scheduled at the same time as the EU timezone matches for Friday September 7 and Saturday September 8, which is terrible organisation and also very inconvenient for players. step your game up CCP.

Got in the EU match and almost had the win when the server booted alot of us. Rejoined in time for the win but recieved no SP despite the fact the scoreboard said I had 15 kills. :(

I think you should add an explanation in game for the skill point system that explains how to earn the most in a game. Sometimes i go 20 and 0, use nanohives, and hack everything i can and still only get 15000 sp, while other games i will go something terrible like 5 and 5, no equipment usage, and no hacks and get 60000. I still dont understand what i did to get that much or that little during those games.

I played 2 today happened to look in local and 1 guy new it was happening today...me and 5 others for a total of 6 Zumar guys against 16.Oh I managed to get a before 5 tanks over ran me and made us fall back to the spawn where the sat on the ridge and blew the turrets and the resupply away.I made a valiant try with my Tier 2 swarm av fit.But they were Sigarus so ....we know how that goes.It played well but there really needs to be an announcement in game.
The second one I played was the same thing.ZUMAR attacking from A side on "pointy rocks map" they just sat at the top of the ridge and picked us off with railrounds.Those of us that had swarms were picked off with sniper fire as we waited to lock.
I thought it was kinda pathetic that out of the 6 of us in the 1st match no one had a drop ship with a spawn on board.I got out a viper but only managed to get as far as our MCC before there combined fire obliterated the thing.The infantry sat back and swarmed any jeep that came in as the Sigarus's picked off the bolas's that were in bound.I think thats why no one brought in a tank.
Second match one guy brought one in and I spawned with my repair gun as he took pot shots from behind the buildings but this only delayed the inevitable.He was outnumbered bad.Hell we all were. |

I have to admit that the corp v. corp battles were some of the most rage inducing, humiliating, disorganized and obscure battles I have been in. And I am for some reason looking forward to more.
I think I just really like the idea of a battle where each side throws everything they have at the other side in order to try to pull off a win.
I also really liked that the battles were fought by the players that showed up. Outnumbering your foe is the most tried and true OP and unbalanced thing of all... but it felt more... real somehow.
And I keep thinking up ideas for strategies that could work for next time. There's got to be a way in this current build to take all the points against a bunch of tanks without using tanks. Just got to be.
Also, now that corp. v corp. battles are over, everything else feels like a time sink and grinding sp to get the next level of module or dropsuit. |

I played two Corp Battles with my Corp Lost Legion.
The first was versus The French something or other. It was a giant lag fest, i couldnt open my voice com to turn them off. I couldnt Drive a tank, it took me 10 minutes to empty a toxic clip. I couldnt hack an instilation.
The second was versus a seperate corp. Again, the lag was horrendus. I couldnt do any of the above actions, i tried to close my comms down, and my game froze. I had to force start my PS3.
This was on wireless, however, i do not experience any lag while playing a normal match.
Look forward to playing a game. |
